Working Hard....And Working Late....Has Never Been So Sexy

WORKING HARD...
Juliette Jauntie knows how to keep things under crushing deadlines, insane workload, a secret reckless side. Nothing gets her riled up anymore. Nothing but her biggest competition, the high-powered, predatory and oh-so-handsome Johnny Danger.

WORKING LATE...
Former Ranger, Johnny is ruthlessly devoted to Danger Enterprises, the company he built from the ground up. So when Juliette blows into his world, Johnny knows he needs to stay focused. Ignore her amped-up energy and the hot red underwear peeking out of the top of her jeans. Ignore the way his body hums every time she's near.

...HAS NEVER BEEN SO SEXY
But when Juliette's small time report causes big time problems for one of Johnny's clients, he has to hunt her down at a remote ski resort to demand answers. Juliette has no intention of being intimidated, nor of backing down. And she has absolutely no intention of falling victim to Johnny’s seductive charms.

Two out of three’s not bad.

Their sexy showdown blows the lid off a scorching passing and uncovers a shocking crime hidden in plain sight, and as the stakes mount and trouble skyrockets, Johnny knows he's in real trouble. Because with Juliette in the mix, it's more than his business at he might just lose his heart.
****
OUTSIDE THE LINES is sharply sexy, racy romantic mystery with humor about two hard-boiled adversaries discovering a scorching passion and unexpected connection in the arms of the person who pushes all their buttons.

Told in first person point of view (I/me/we), it alternates viewpoints between the hero and heroine, and is filled with some boundary-pushing sexytimes.

Accountants can be sexy. At least, Bella Love's forensic accountants/consultants Juliette and Johnny are, in this enemies to lovers story. Except -- maybe they have never been enemies and the powerful chemistry only needed extended contact to explode. Both characters are a compelling mix of driven and vulnerable, hidden insecurities both motivating and limiting them. When they get together, the smexy is five flames hot, and the intellectual chemistry just as strong. I do enjoy highly intelligent main characters. Keeping the plot flowing is nicely crafted forensic accounting mystery featuring a judge trying put one over on his soon to be ex-wife in their divorce settlement.

I did have a little trouble getting past the name Johnny Danger for the hero, and dealing with the math of a man in his early thirties being a successful entrepreneur with a business degree and law degree who also did 12 tours in Afghanistan. I'm fairly certain the US military doesn't accept 12 year-olds.

This book is, at times, completely absurd - but I inhaled it anyway. I mean, the hero's name is Johnny Danger (!!!). Decent suspense thread, although I think it could have been fleshed out more. I also liked the banter between hero and heroine. Who knew accounting and numbers could be so hot?! It didn't change my life, but I was entertained. Also, on a shallow note: the sex scenes are hot enough to peel wallpaper on the North Pole. Sexy, fast, fun - just don't take it too seriously.

I mean...Johnny Danger?!?!?

Warning contains spoilers!
Juliette has been brought up on her own, dependent on her self and things haven't changed all these years later. Working her own account firm she is gradually building her business, and for that her personal life has suffered. Greatly. No friends, family, pets or hell even co-workers. Except Johnny Danger. The arrogant, egotistical, jerk/lawyer/accountant that works floors and floors above her. He owns one of the most powerful accountant firms around. So when fate so happens that they have to work together because of mutual clients going through a divorce, Juliette realizes just how much she has missed out on and decides to go for it and find a life outside of her glass box. As her and Johnny delve deeper into a public figures finances, they discover not all is as it seems and they get tangled in a huge criminal web of secrets and scandals! As they try to seek the truth and bring those behind the scenes to justice, both find the spark between them is undeniable and powerful. Juliette has never been bold and fears what an affair with Danger could do to her carefully structured life whereas Johnny fears it for what it could mean to his heart. If he had one! Years of wrongs from his childhood to the hard battle fields in the military, Johnny has seen more devastation than good that has killed his heart. But maybe, just maybe this little fire cat in Juliette is starting to reawaken something in him lost long ago! Can they survive the truths that will be revealed not only from their investigation but from themselves as well?

Honestly this book left me feeling very disappointed. Most of the way through I kept waiting for that 'something' to happen that would have me on the edge of my seat turning the pages as fast as I could read, but ... nothing?? You have all the ingredients for a huge suspense here .. criminal judges, payoffs, powerful underhanded companies, etc. And not much happens with it. The book is well written and I am not trying to take that away from the author but the story seemed to flat line through most the book and left you wanting at the end. The sexual connection between our two leads is hot and the sex scenes are very well written but that's as far as the connection ends for me. How Juliette and Johnny felt a deeper connection I have no idea! When they do finally get together it comes across as Juliette being desperately in love with Johnny while he seems to want her because why not? (shrug shoulders) she's pretty and sort of gets hims!! Sorry just could not connect with these two. Sorry but for me this book just didn't leave an impression.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Shallow plot that doesn't have a lot of twists and turns. The characters are good, but missing just a little more depth to be great.

Johnny Danger had pulled 14 tours down range in Afghanistan and he felt he didn't have a heart left. He only held respect for his Ranger buddies....until she came along. She was pushing down his walls.

Juliette Jauntie was somewhat uptight, straight forward, and had no life outside of her work. Danger is getting ready to take her to a whole new level. He's going to turn her world completely up...side...down!

Both are accountants working on a divorce case and the numbers just aren't adding up. Johnny has followed her to the mountains, where she's gone for a mini vacation, so they can work out all the kinks in the paperwork. They only have a matter of days to complete this. The clients want the divorce completed by the new year but something just isn't right with the case and it leads to some pretty damaging things that directly affect Johnny.

Sharks, looming behaviors, perfect teeth, and head banging sex...all on a bunny slope. TOO funny! (You're just going to have to read the story to understand. Grinning wickedly here.)

Danger and Jauntie have been betrayed in life. They find they both fight the same demons even though the circumstances differ. Can Juliette color outside the lines with her heart intact and can Johnny learn to let his heart feel?

This was an intense read, for me. Along the way I laughed, and felt my heart tug hard both in happiness and sadness. This is a stand alone book but I have to tell you I am really looking forward to following these two in the next book. Yes, people! It doesn't end here! YAY!!! I started this book about midday and could not put it down. At 5am I couldn't hold my eyes open any longer and it about killed me to turn off the Kindle. This is one story you don't want to miss, so grab a copy and settle in for a great read.

I really liked this book it was hot and steamy yet a very powerful storyline with Juliette a top of the line CPA that has been very much been over looked so she thought till a client was referred to her by none other then Former Ranger, Johnny that is ruthlessly devoted to Danger Enterprises he was filling in on a friend on a case. Johnny that it was just simple open and shut divorce case that both parties were agreeing on everything Juliette was just suppose to be Mrs.B a second opinion .until Juliette finds a discrepancy in all the numbers and starts asking questions and this opened up a whole new can of worms Juliette and Johnny didn't see coming. This book has a little bit of everything a crooked judge, humor, friends you thought you could trust, dare i say again very hot and steamy interludes that both didn't see coming. Johnny has to follow Juliette all the way to the mountains to a bunny slope where Juliette was trying to over come her fears to get her paper work and show her proof for all her questions about the numbers that didn't add up were correct but Juliette still in her gut fills something wrong . Johnny starts noticing things about Juliette he didn't see before the more time he spends with her the hotter his thoughts got. Ok i am sure i have wrote a very confusing review but buy the book read it and you will understand it all . There is so many twist and turns your heads will spin, loved the book, Great Job -Bella Love oh and by the way the story being written in third person Narration doesn't interfere with the storyline or understanding of the book at all .

This was an interesting read with very likeable characters.

Juliette is a contained woman a woman who does better with numbers and figures then actual people. She has forgotten what it's like to have a hobby, friends, some excitement of living outside the careful constructed lines that is her life.

That's until Johnny Danger puts a file on her desk for review 2 days before Christmas. She knows this isn't a man she wants to get mixed up with, his last name is Danger for goodness sake. He's every woman's wet dream.

When looking over this file she spots huge discrepancies that could bring a whole lot of trouble down on her and Johnny involving a high power judge.

This story was a little different I loved that the female character was a woman who could use her smarts and stand by her convictions. I loved that the HOT stud had more to offer then good looks.

Johnny and Juliette complimented each other well, I wanted to love this book but I really wanted more history on this couple.. They seemed to have such interesting back grounds that only was skimmed over.

Juliette has always been a loner. She even has her own very small accounting office and does work by word of mouth. She never gets in anyones way and likes it that way. Johnny is an in your face type of guy. His accounting firm is large and only deals with high end clients. When he sends a customer her way troule follows. Little did he know that this customer could be the death of him and Juliette.

This was a really good book. Not a typical love story but it did have some really HOT love scenes. The author did a fabulous job with the characters. They were both alive and electric. You could sense their charge and their chemistry. They complimented eachother.

The plot was excellent to say the least. The ending however was expected and typical. That did not take away from my enjoyment in reading this book.

This was a great book, I could not put it down. My new sexual, Alfa, hero has to be Johnny Danger, he is hot. Juliette was the luckiest girl ever to have such a sexy boss.

When Juliette is asked for a second opinion accounting work for Johnny, he has to find her at a ski resort, and as he had been attracted to her for quite a while it didn't take long for them to heat the sheets, and it's hot and steamy.

While the writing is very graffiti it is well done and not smutty which I liked. The storyline is very well written as well as being a very sensual book and a crime is discovered but who was responsible? It was pretty easy to work out what was going on but I was enjoying the book so much it didn't matter.

Johnny has met his match in Juliette, "you say eff too much." She turned to face the mountain. "You probably do eff too much. You should go to confession." Johnny he's a wild card, he's sexy and the boy doesn't like his boys not to have air if you get my drift ladies, "you like?" He shoved his jeans down a little way, revealing trim, toned buttocks. "You should try it sometime. When I'm around." He's a crude one but I have to say he takes crude to a whole new sexy, "he paused in grabbing his phone off the table. "Because I'm not done effing your brains out yet?" He looked over and added slowly, "are you done effing mine?" All I have to say is I want a Johnny of my own.

This was a fun and quirky read. This is the second book of Bella Love's that I've read both written in the POV of both the hero/heroines. I'm not a fan of POV but this book read pretty smoothly. The characters are both very likable and Johnny Danger is very hot and totally sexy. I could see Juliette Jaunte in my mind as pretty and sexy but nerdy. When Johnny and Juliette are forced to work together they find something they didn't want but they could not live without. The book has a suspense twist that I really didn't see coming and I loved it.

I never in a million years would have thought a romance story between two accountants would be very interesting but Bella really made this one hot, steamy and unpredictable. I love how strong and intelligent Juliette is. Her lead in this story made the book even better especially when she refused to give into Johnny Danger. I did not mind the third person style of writing but could see how reading this in first person might have added to the characters appeal. Overall, good book.

The chemistry between the characters Johnny and Juliette was really good but I was truly bored with all the accounting talk. I almost gave up because I had no idea what they were talking about but I suspected something dirty. Nothing good comes from accounting stories, but the action heated up between Danger and Jauntie. Overall I enjoyed the novel but I would make the accounting talk a lot less clerical. Thanks netgalley for a free read in exchange for a review.

I love the way Bella Love writes, she completely sucks me in. I loved the conversations between Johnny and Juliette, I found myself laughing at times. Two very strong personalities that have shut love out, find extreme attraction for each other. The romance was hot with both trying to be the alpha and exploring new territory. I really enjoyed this book!

Randomly saw a link for this on Twitter and color me impressed. Loved that the characters are accountants and that mystery and suspense centers around fraud. So surprised it doesn't have more reviews.

Most of all, I was just entertained and found some of the dialogue and inner thoughts funny.
