Well, this story did not pull any punches. *eyes wide*
There are circumstances that happen in this part of the duet that I can’t really talk about because, spoilers, but I can say that every one of them gutted me in some form. I have never been more apprehensive of turning pages in a book in my life. It is literally one right after the other and it is only the beginning. Not gonna lie, the dedication worried me and still worries me, but I trust Osborn so now I wait … *deep breath*
This isn’t a story you can just pick up and read without having read the past books in the series. Again, not much detail I can give you on that, but truth be told, none of the books in this series have been standalones. A good MC romance series will have a club arc that runs throughout the whole series in conjunction with “romance journeys” for the members. That alone is reason enough to start from the beginning with any MC series. Do with that information what you will :)

Thank you to KE Osborn for the ARC of Victorious: Part I.
Holy merde! I had to give myself time to sit with the book before I was able to write my review. All the emotions were felt and I needed time to process it (insert sad Thor GIF).
As KE Osborn said at the beginning of the book in the dedication “To my readers… I am so, so sorry. Please forgive me.” CAN I JUST SAY EMOTIONAL DAMAGE?! And of course I can forgive you because I need more.
Right from the get go she pulls on the heart strings. I knew something bad was going to happen because she’s said so (I’ve been warned multiple times…) but I DID NOT EXPECT THAT. She hit the ground running with all of the emotions- mostly sadness if I’m being honest.
I’m not going to write about what happened because SPOILERS and I don’t like to be that person. Her readers need to experience all this for themselves (just like I did) so I have others I can lament with.
I had to hold all my crying in because I was reading the first bit of the book while at work (and my coworkers would look at me weird for the amount of sobbing that would be had). Lots of chocolate was consumed aggressively while reading the first 10 chapters because I just couldn’t believe it.
I found that I agree with KE in the fact that this story would not be able to be wrapped up in one book and that it needed a part I and II. The story would have been lost if she tried to cram everything into one book because so much is happening. Defiance is being hit from all angles in this two part finale and emotions are running high with everyone.
I enjoyed the fact that she included multiple POVs in the beginning of the story because it was important to get the information from those characters to full appreciate what was happening. And what was going to happen. It also sets up the story in a perfect way for the storm that was to come for Defiance. I loved getting more of Haven and Poppy- it’ll make me sad when I eventually have to say goodbye to them being a prominent feature in the books because of it being in their club.
I know that there’s a part two and I’ve probably said this in many reviews, but after that CLIFFY- I’m (IM)PATIENTLY waiting for part II because this cannot continue!
I absolutely need to know what is in store for the LA chapter in the finale.

Phenomenal
Every book in the LA Defiance MC series have been five-star reads for me but this book…just, WOW!!! I was totally devastated...but in a good way. Any author that writes like this and brings the deepest emotions out is a true talent.
There is so much at stake in this book that it made this book such a huge page turner. There are so many things at play and so many people affected by everything happening within these pages. I don’t want to give anything away but know that this is a must-read book and comes with a cliffhanger like no other.

✯✯5 Defiance Filled Stars!!!!✯✯
OMG this book made me bawl multiple multiple times!! I knew right from the dedication that K. E. Osborn was going to pull out all the stops but… I was completely unprepared for what she was gonna do to me.
Being that this book ends on a MAJOR cliffhanger I don’t wanna give away too much.
The Defiance MC thinks that they are going to get some drama free time since they just took down the Governor and the Rojas Cartel but little do they know that the cartel has been rebuilding not only themselves, but they have brought back the nest and recruiting new women for that, and they have been doing it for a while because they had it as a contingency plan in case anything happened.
The cartel plans to take out Defiance MC and in order to do that, they plan on taking out people that are closest to the members of the club one by one, but they’re going to do it in a way that makes them hurt the most.
One thing I love about the way this Author write her books is it’s always in dual POV’s and usually the last book that is going to end of the series is usually ending the drama that is started all the way in book number one so she will write it in More than two POV and this is exactly how this one went. She also gave us two new POV‘s from two characters that I have wanted their stories for a while now because you could see the chemistry coming off of them.
The last book better hurry up and come out because I need to know that my Defiance men and women are going to be OK even though I’m going to be extremely sad that the series is ending. But, I’m hoping that we will get the men or women from Vegas Next.

This story just about did me in from the extreme emotions in the first forty percent of the book. I applaud this author for her impeccable writing as the scenes must have been so difficult to write. Warning: grab a box of tissues and a bar or two of chocolate because you will need them. Mind you the author does warn readers in the beginning so take it seriously. Plus, I then had to take a break from the story to compose myself—it is very powerful.
As usual, the descriptions in this book are fantastic and it’s easy is visualise each scene—probably why it was also so poignant at times. But not all is angsty, there are some extremely humorous scenes and moments where you can’t help but chuckle. I have to admit meeting ‘Dracula’ was so much fun.
With the story written from multiple points of view, it really helps to get a deeper idea of what’s happening and how everyone is feeling. There is so much going on, so much drama, so much angst and so much worry that it is mind-boggling. All I can say is bring on part 2!

Just when the MC thought they has finally ended the Cartel, another Rojas resurfaces. Maverick sends Clover to Vegas to start her new job, with Wes as her protection.
This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with found family, friendships, loss, angst, heartbreak, allies, forced proximity, trust, forbidden romance, trauma, violence, redemption, loyalty, and anger, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted, and unpredictable, captivating page turner, which is not for the faint-at-heart.
I cannot wait to read the second part of the duet!
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This book had me and my emotions all over the place, but still brought the sense of family that this series is about. The characters are all fighting for their lives and in the middle of it, is the beginning of other love that is getting stronger then ever and the fact that they are both a brother and a sister to old Ladies and members of, so this make it hard on them.
The club is back in the middle of a cartel war and just found out that it has been brewing for a long time, and that the leader is crazier then a tazmainian devil and more slick then an oil spill. They are prepared for the worst and pray for the best and for their loved ones.
They are prepared club sends Clover and Phoenix for a road trip to get them out of danger, and their beginning awareness is making the trip awkward for them. They are trying to do what the club wants but also wants to be with their families to help fight.

Who is Javier? Who are Livvy, Blue Jay, and Nightingale? When Montana visits his mom in prison, what does he learn? Who is Lock? I liked him. Who and what is Nightingale? Where does Haven spot her? When she comes back to the clubhouse with Haven and the boys and Poppy sees her, what happens? Where are Clover and Phoenix during all of this? Part of me wonders if they are real. I now want to embark on an adventure of my own to see if what Phoenix and Clover are experiencing is truly out there. I'm eager for part two!

Oh wow! Just when they think they can relax a little the unexpected happens. Their world gets turned upside down. My heart broke. Livy and Haven fight so hard. I’m so anxious to see what is going to happen next. And poor Clover! I can’t wait for part 2. So much is going on. The club is so shook up. Maybe this time they can really finish everyone off. Oh! And don’t forget nighthawk…. Another interesting twist.

Please forgive me, K E Osborn said, and I am slowly picking up the pieces of the emotional damage caused by that warning. Victorious was an emotional, action-packed romance that left my head spinning and my heart broken.
The L.A. Defiance MC went from celebrating a great victory to having their worlds flipped upside down in a most terrible way. I have to say I admired how they rallied together to weather the storm that is upon them. It was not an easy feat for them to set aside emotions in order to take on the newly risen nemesis, but they did and showed how strong their bond of brotherhood continues to be. I enjoyed the multiple POVs, getting a glimpse of everyone’s mental state.
OMG, Poppy!! From the mouths of babes. This girl exudes such strength, and I absolutely adore her even more as she put on her stiff upper lip to be strong for those she loved. I loved how the bond between Poppy and Haven has evolved and become stronger.
Victorious was a wild ride, and emotions were high. And that cliffhanger? HEARTSTOPPING! I’m impatiently waiting for part two.

I can't tell you how many times I have cried in this book! I have loved this series since the very beginning and this book has taken it to another level. As always, great story with characters that worm their way into your heart. My problem? I need book 2 like yesterday!

This story was packed with so much emotion and suspense. There’s so much I could say but it would give too much away. This a story takes you on one heck of a roller coaster ride and then an abrupt stop at that cliffhanger. We’re left dangling waiting for what happens next. The world building, the characters, the romance all combine to make an amazing story. I can’t wait for part 2!

All I can say is I am speechless!!! This is a masterpiece of literary genius and will have you spellbound from page one. For those of us who love Defiance and those who just getting to know them, it is the most emotionally charged moments in their history. Hang on and get the tissues.

This book has a lot to take in.
It had me in my feels.. I definitely felt sad while reading this, but no, in a bad way, if that makes sense. You should go into this blind to get the whole experience. don't go looking for those spoilers

This was the kind of read that is excellent yet had you cursing the author throughout. Suspense, action and intrigue along with the emotions flying. I hope we get books 2 soon because I need to know what happens!

This book pulled at all of my emotions. This was a page turner from page 1. I got the feeling from this that it was going to be a roller coaster. I don’t want to give much about the book. This book was written in multiple POV’s. We got to see more to some characters This is a must read in the series!! Can’t wait for part 2!!
