~~4.5 HEARTS~~
*Received a copy from the publisher The Hype PR via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*
This book was heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time. I love how Nate thought of Danielle's future and how he planned everything out to make sure she was taken care of and that she would continue to live. This book made me get choked up. It was all so realistic and I'm pretty sure there are a lot of readers that will and can relate to this story. It's well written and pulls a ...more

I love the sound of this one!!!!

Okay so this is a hard story to describe without spoilers but I did just get spoilers about it and love the plotline.
Based on the blurb though, it's about a recent law school graduate who is surprised when her boyfriend enlists during college. They learn to adapt to the logistics of an army relationship but when her worst nightmare comes true, she has to pick up the pieces of her life and try to find happiness again...

Danielle and Nate are the golden couple. They've been dating since they first met in high school and have 9 years under their belts together. Their relationship has gotten stronger through the years, as Dani makes her way through law school and Nate enlists in the Army and even gets deployed for a few months. It actually started pretty good but then turned sour. And by sour I mean quite disappointing. Nate's probably the only character I liked then came the impending demise. Sigh. ...more

This is a beautiful story of love and loss, it's about learning to be happy again the way you love would want you to be. This is the worst nightmare of every military family but such a beautiful story written brilliantly. I really did enjoy the story that Rebecca told and the characters she created. The letters were amazing and sweet and I'm going to say it again ... Beautiful!! This book in its essence is sweet and lovely, it had an impact I'll remember it for a long time.

I honestly can’t review this book without spoilers. Though, personally, I don’t especially consider it a real spoiler. I guessed the ‘curveball’ before I started the novel, expected it. If you haven’t guessed it, or have and don’t want your suspicions confirmed, please be warned that this review is completely packed with spoilers. Not about the ending, but about the first 30% of the novel. Thanks for reading!

4.5 Emotional Stars.
This is the first book that I have read by Rebecca Brooke. I found it to be fairly well written. It also happens to be the first book, after hundreds that I have read and reviewed, that made me CRY!!! No, I did not ugly cry like a lot of readers describe, but I cried. You need to have a box of kleenex on hand for this one. Maybe I was more emotional with this read because I had just watched Lone Survivor. That movie nearly tore my heart out and I had the same damn feelings wi ...more

The blurb caught my attention. Having a brother in the Air Force and an Ex-BF (and still best friend) in the Navy, I know all about worrying. I know it's very difficult. So I really wanted this book to be a five star reading.

I was so excited to read this book!
Dani had it all, the perfect boyfriend, new job, and a new apartment. Dani and Nate's lives started some years ago as they went through life's journey together. It was perfect, until that day in college when Nate said he had joined the army, but as true love works, they stuck together.

Whew!! I could not put this book down. First and foremost get you some Kleenex. You will need it. Danielle and Nate have been together since they were juniors in high school. He made a decision to join the Army. She stuck by him even though the decision scared her to death. Dani and Nate were perfect together. I could tell by reading how much in love that they were. They were each others' lives. Tragedy strikes and Dani doesn't know how to cope. Rebecca does a great job of showing us what Dani a

This book should have a better warning label on it, 'caution you'll need a million boxes of tissues'. This book is different from Rebecca's other books in the sense of the content, I almost stopped reading it and had the urge to throw my kindle against the wall for what had taken place in the book. I'm sure y'all can figure out what goes down from reading the blurb, but honestly I was expecting something totally different than what happened, and when I saw the title I was also expecting the book ...more

This is a really brilliant well written story that had me gripped. Grab the tissues as this book will take you on an emotional rollercoster.
Danielle and Nate have been together since they were young. This is their story. The author did a great job of portraying the characters emotions. I'm really finding it hard to write this as I don't want to spoil it for anyone. All I can say is if I had the time I'd go straight to the beginning and read this story again. Yes it's that good.

4 stars. Be prepared for the tissues. Danielle and Nate were high school sweethearts. Meeting in there junior year of high school, they became inseparable. First becoming friend's and then a lot more, even through college. Even when Nate decides to change his major and joins the Army, they are right there supporting each other. When Danielle passes the bar exam and gets hired at a law firm, Nate surprises with a surprise party and gives her a note that proposes to her! Accepting life is sometime

This is my first story by Rebecca Brooke I can say she had me crying though parts of the story. I was unsure when I started this story, because it start when they are in school but it end up not being a teen story, I will say she went through a lot in her twenties. It definitely had me thinking about what people go through when they are married to servicemen. I don't like to leave spoilers stop here because I think I did. I love a good second-chance romance, and add in a little military, and you've hooked me. Rebecca Brooke did a wonderful job with Letters Home!

I was really excited about this book when I first heard about it because I've read one of the books in this author's other series and loved it, so I was looking forward to reading more from her! This book was hauntingly beautiful! I knew it was going to be an absolute tear jerker before I even picked it up because the synopsis doesn't give too much away, but it gives you enough for you to possibly know what's going to happen in the plot! I have to say that I only glanced over the synopsis before

I have kind of a love/hate relationship with military books, sometimes the come off too cliche and don’t read as authentic but sometimes authors get it just right and then I really love them. I was happy to see that this book fell into the good category. I do want to mention that this book is quite heavy. If you are a military wife this book might be a little tough for you to read in places (as an army wife myself, ...more
