Kaip kūdikio knygai tai per daug sudėtingais elementais perkrautos iliustracijos, istorijos nėra - atrodo, tekstas pridėtas iš bėdos, dėl to, kad reikėjo. Ar reikėjo? Taktilinių paviršių pagailėta. Vienintelis tikrai patikęs dalykas tai veidrodukas pabaigoj, nes didelis ir neiškreipiantis vaizdo.

First sentence: This is the sun that rises each day. These are the colors you'll see when you play. These are the sounds you may hear, inside and outside, far and near.

Premise/plot: What you see is what you get. A high contrast, touch and feel book. Each spread introduces the youngest of little ones to the world around them.

My thoughts: The book is high contrast. Black, white. Primary colors. Everything is bold. The illustrations are simple. The touch and feel elements are perhaps not as many as I'd like. Shiny isn't something you can touch and feel, for example. There are really only two textures that offer enough of a sensory experience (crinkly and soft). The book ends with a mirror which I believe is always a hit with little ones.

I mean, it's definitely high contrast, but the illustrations were so busy and bright that they hurt my head. I wish they were simpler and clearer. I agree that there aren't as many touch-and-feel elements as advertised. The mirror in the back isn't warped though, and they usually are in board books so I appreciate that! The text is nothing to write home about.

Love the high contract and touch and feel combo! Great visuals and very cute! Def meant for smaller babies - held my 3 month olds interest, but my toddler also enjoyed the colors, ABCs and numbers!
