To the world's population, Kro-tan's arrival was a godsend. Mongo's technology was a quick cure for a ravaged Earth, and people were eager for any new technology he provided. However, as his influence spread, so did his desire to recreate Earth in Mongo's image for him to rule. Dependence on Kro-Tan's technologies made people compliant and easy to subjugate. Some even welcomed it. Those who didn't disappeared, and by the time our heroes noticed, it was too late.

A very good book. My only complaint is that it feels too rushed. There are so many things going on that by the time I am focused on one thing something else happens.

The Defenders are on the run back to the 7 nations. The secrets between the Phantom and Mandrake are finally revealed, as well as Flash's past. Will thus tear the Defenders apart when they need each other the most as Kro-tan makes his move.

I am glad the Phantom got more or less his own issue to handle his family business. I would be interested to see the young Defenders step up as the series moves forward. The artwork and story are good (the story is rushed), however, I would love to see more of the fights.

Eh, only for long time fans of the Defenders of the Earth. Not sure how this fits in with the Flash Gordon comic either. or if it even does. I do like Jim Caliafore's art and have since his Valiant days.
