Addison Holmes Mysteries #1-3

The Addison Holmes Mystery Box Set

Rate this book
The first three books in Liliana Hart's best selling Addison Holmes Mysteries!

WHISKEY REBELLION

My name is Addison Holmes, and I teach history at James Madison High School in Whiskey Bayou, Georgia. You might be under the assumption that my life went to the dogs when my fiancé left me at the altar for the home economics teacher, or when I got notice that my apartment building was going to be condemned, or even when I was desperate enough to strip to my unmentionables to earn some extra cash. The truth is that I'm pretty much used to disasters following me around on a daily basis, but I could have gone without finding my principal dead in the parking lot of a seedy gentlemen's club.

After the initial shock of finding my first dead body, which included throwing back shots of Jack Daniels like it was water, I decided to take stock of my life. I was in a desperate situation and if the school board ever found out I'd been a stripper, even a bad stripper, I'd be jobless as well as fiancé-less and homeless. Fortunately, I had a friend who felt sorry enough for me to give me a job doing some surveillance work at her detective agency. Not to mention the fact that I was now able to stick my nose into other people's business for a good cause, find a murderer, and pick up helpful tips from an incredibly attractive detective.

Come check out my story and be thankful your life is relatively normal.

WHISKEY SOUR

Addison Holmes is at it again. When priceless Russian gems are stolen on their way to Savannah and the courier is murdered, all the clues lead back to an escort service that seems above reproach. But looks can be deceiving.

Throw in a sexy detective and a dangerous FBI agent, and Addison finds out very quickly that she's in way over her head. But nothing is going to stop her from getting her man.

WHISKEY FOR BREAKFAST

The Private Investigator's Handbook

Rule #1: Don't break the law

Rule #2: See Rule #1

...And then there's Addison Holmes, who makes up her handbook as she goes along.

Addison is licensed to carry and she means business. The only thing getting in her way is a sexy detective, a neighborhood watch from hell, a dead billionaire, a black market sperm bank, and a long lost heir.

Piece of cake...

Liliana Hart spent five years teaching music in the public education system. She molded America’s youth, busted kids for smoking pot in the restrooms, and broke up illicit affairs behind the stage on a regular basis. (Liliana’s Addison Holmes Mystery Series, about a small town teacher who gets into a whole lot of trouble, is somewhat autobiographical, but she won’t confess to which parts).

Liliana began reading romance novels with all her new found free time, and when she ran out of things to read, she decided to write her own novels. The result was a 150,000 word thriller—a dazzling adventure—where the heroine was a thirty-year-old virgin assassin (Yes, you read that right). She couldn’t imagine why people weren’t knocking down her door to read it, but she persevered and began writing a second book. She finally got the hang of things, and eventually learned that losing one’s virginity wasn’t all that romantic after all. All of her books involve some kind of suspense (she just can't help herself), laughter, and a lot of steamy sex.

Since the failure of her first attempt, Liliana’s books have won awards such as: The Daphne Du Maurier, The Suzannah, The Linda Howard Award of Excellence, The Maggie, and many others. Her affiliations include Romance Writers of America and Mystery Writers of America.

Liliana loves to cook, and is addicted to reading, Internet Boggle, kickboxing, and Bones. She lives in a big, rambling house in Texas with a couple of cats to keep her company. She loves to get emails from readers.

Enjoy the Adventures!

Whiskey Rebellion
Different is really an understatement when it comes to this book. To me it could be more of a comedy than a mystery. Is it good tho? YES!
This book was sooooo damn funny. Addison is such a klutz and hilarious. I felt sorry for her A LOT haha. I love her! The story in itself was surprising at every turn so the mystery to it was great. You would never imagine who the killer was. I gasped out loud, putting my hand up to my mouth getting a look from my husband that basically said he thought I was crazy! Idc, I AM ;)

Another great mystery by Liliana! On to book two! Can't wait to see what Addison is up to next :)

Whiskey Sour
I laughed so hard in this book. I had tears pouring at one point and could not breath. Great installment to this series. Love the new mystery and Addison really shows how much she's grown. She's really smart and being a klutz kinda overshadows that but you still don't miss it. I wasn't too upset about the end of her recent relationship. Savage looks like the better man tbh. I see jealousy coming. The next book is gonna be great!

Whiskey For Breakfast
Once again this series continues to get better. Addison is getting really good at the PI gig. She continues to nearly have me falling out of my seat in laughter. Ugh I was wishing she'd give up on Nick tho smh. It's ok tho I'll take Savage! ;)
OMG the ending was not cool! On to the next!
I also got the jealousy I wanted by the way lol

Absolutely love this series. Addison is an amazing character and so are all the secondary characters. Would have given this box set a 5 star rating but there were a couple grammar/spelling mistakes in the third book (Whiskey for Breakfast).

Why won’t authors hire an editor or at least an intelligent proofreader? I want to have a tantrum every time I start reading a book full of errors. I got this 3-book set for free, I think. The books are not great, but super light reading, so okay, I stuck with them. They have humor and light sex/romance and kooky but totally implausible plots. Books 2 and 3 spend WAY too much time rehashing what happened in the previous books. Drives me crazy. Do people really pick up book 3 of a series without reading books 1 and 2? My biggest issue is I just don’t like Addison. She’s a giant pain in the backside. I got book 4 for 99 cents before I realized that I’m probably not going to finish this series. And, yes, lots of rehashing books 1-3. Gggrrrrr. There’s a thing that happens at the end of book 3 that’s a pretty big deal, but several chapters into book 4, and Addison has not even thought about it. I doubt I will finish that one. I’m ready to read something good.

Action, suspense, hot sex and hilarity!

These books are suspenseful, well written and funny. If you like the early Janet Evonovitch (sp?) number series, these are for you!
These books are a fun romp with eccentric, likable characters!

Addison Holmes

If you are looking for a set of books that are laugh out loud funny, this series is one you want to read. Addison finds herself in more hysterical situations than one person should. The suspense is high as well. You don't know who done it until the very end. Great series.

Absolutely engaging and hilarious! I've been waiting to find an author like this! I'm hooked now and found myself reading the last 200 pages v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y! . I love that the author spins a mystery from such a relateable character. She always spices up the novel with just enough hotness from the male lead character.

I love you Lilianna!

Liliana Hart creates 3-D characters you have to love.

If you like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, you'll love Addison Holmes, and Ms. Hart spins a great tale. She does, however, need to stop using cut-and-paste.

I have read and reviewed these separately. Addison Holmes must be one of the most fantastically funny characters created and her (mis)adventures will leave you hugging your side with laughter and and shaking your head in disbelief. And Rosemary? Well, read all about this unique woman for yourself.

Goes nowhere

It seems like the author is trying to do Evonavich (sp) but doesn't. Most of the books are about whether or not she will have sex
