The mysterious stranger I spent an unforgettable night with is the billionaire who ruined my life… and now I have to live with him.
He's all green eyes, mussed hair and a dirty mouth. He’s good at strip poker, and even better at what comes after.
Two weeks later, I walk into a meeting in LA with the subject of my next memoir... and it’s him.
Aiden Hartman. My hot one-night-stand, and the billionaire owner of Titan Media, the company that ruined my life and made me change my name.
Now I need to spend two months at his side or risk losing my next contract. Living in his Bel-Air mansion, shadowing him daily, and writing his memoir.
Aiden invites me into his world of wealth. He brings me as his date to movie premieres and buys me expensive dresses. But he won’t tell me everything I need for the book.
We argue in his office, and I taunt him in bikinis by his pool. It’s a dangerous game we’re playing, especially when Aiden offers me a deal too good to refuse.
Hi there! I'm Olivia. I write romance with billionaire heroes (despite never having met one in person). They're strong, ambitious, they don't need love... until they meet the women who change their minds.
I love witty banter, smart heroines, big cities and perfectly tailored suits. You'll find all four in every one of my books! 💜
READING ORDER You can read any of the books as standalones, because each book follows a new couple. But if you ask me? This is my personal preference...
The Connovan Chronicles - Best Enemies Forever - The Perfect Mistake - One Wrong Move
New York Billionaires - Think Outside the Boss - Saved by the Boss - Say Yes to the Boss - A Ticking Time Boss - Suite on the Boss - 12 Days of Bossmas
Seattle Billionaires - Billion Dollar Enemy - Billion Dollar Beast - Billion Dollar Catch - Billion Dollar Fiancé
Brothers of Paradise - Dark Eyed Devil - Ice Cold Boss - Red Hot Rebel - Small Town Hero
Standalones - Arrogant Boss - Look But Don't Touch - The Billionaire Scrooge Next Door - How to Honeymoon Alone
Well, I suppose it was okay-ish. I found it a bit lengthy for my liking, and there were moments when the pace felt a bit off. Also I just didn't feel that intense chemistry between Aiden (32) and Charlotte (29), it just wasn't that palpable at all. 🫣
Although, they spent a lot of time together since she was shadowing him, their convos were pretty much surface-level at times. I can probably count on two hands how many times they actually had a deep and meaningful talks. And this probably says a lot because this is a freaking slowburn. I mean, if they're not doing anything might as well get to know each other a bit, right? Yet some of these getting to know moments were told rather than shown. 😮💨
Every interaction was driven by hormones, and even though they didn’t act on it, it was the main thing on their minds whenever they were in the same room. I felt like, for a slowburn story, their relationship didn't really come together in a way that felt natural or believable. There just wasn't that emotional connection, and it felt like everything they did was mostly based on physical attraction. 🫠
Also, I'm not really into the whole celebrity/reality TV thing in books, and Charlotte blew up as a reality show star a decade ago, but not in a great way.
The final 20% seemed to focus on her rough experience and her efforts to get over it, but honestly, that part wasn't really explored on the page. And the last 5% was just a bunch of time jumps. I feel like I missed out on really knowing how she actually moved on from what happened to her, and how this issue was handled by the people in the higher positions, both past and present. I just don't get why her viral moment was such a big deal in the story, only for it to be glossed over at the end. 🤷♀️
Anyway, it wasn't a bad story, but this could've been a few pages shorter, tbh.
Book info: - ONS then slowburn - Forced proximity - Strangers to lovers - No cheating, OW - OMD (not really, but guys flirt with the h) - Separation (days??) - No V (both are experienced 🤭) - HEA (2 yrs later, married)

Okay, so I stayed up ALL NIGHT reading this and I have zero regrets! Let me tell you why...
This is a story that'll make your heart happy! It's about Charlotte, who gets hired to write a memoir about the super successful (and super hot) Aiden. But here's the twist - they already had the most amazing first encounter before all this started!
The best thing? The way they try to handle working together after their steamy first meeting. Like, imagine having an incredible night with someone and then having to interview them about their life story the next day. AWKWARD. But also... kind of perfect?
Can we talk about character growth? Because WOW. Watching Aiden slowly open up about his past and his relationship with his dad hit me right in the feels. And Charlotte? She's not just there to write his story - she actually helps him heal.
If you love romance with actual depth, this book is for you.
‧⋅°💄 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙚 wow, Charlotte's backstory was so nicely done! I felt so sad for her and I ended up loving her so much. she was soooo likeable and (I'll be the one to say it) RELATABLE! I also just really liked reading her chapters, both characters in this book were so easily likeable smh I loved it. "𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙚," 𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙨. ... "𝙄'𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮." 🌹
‧⋅° 💌 𝘼𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣 Holy sweet talker.. 😍 this man was so amazing. he understands boundaries and in general he's just so perfect. I was actually really intrested in him surfing and all the other things he doesn't have time for, definitely wishing there was a second book rn 💔. "𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚, 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙚. 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖 𝙨𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙."
𝙢𝙮 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨!! ♥️ I really really enjoyed this book, it's honestly probably one of my favorite romance reads in 2025!! thank you so much my bestie (@✨books_19✨) for buddy reading this book with me, I had so much fun!! so glad we read this books because without you I probably wouldn't have picked this up soon enough!! 🍒
ALSO CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL COVER FOR A SECOND??? 😻😻👏
Aunque extremadamente largo y totalmente innecesario.
Pros: The spicy scenes were hot, well written, and abundant 🥵😳. Several s*x toys were used.
Cons: This book is waaay too long. The same topics (and "obstacles" for the MC's not being together) were repeated what seemed to me like a million times 😩🥱.
The nickname 'Chaos' that Adan gives Charlotte is so annoying and ridiculous, I just wanted to punch Adam in the face every time I heard it 😤.
Adan is not very charismatic. He's pretty annoying and plays games with the FMC too many times 🤨🙄, even after assuring Charlotte that he was not playing games🤦🏼♀️.
Aiden keeps calling Charlotte beautiful, which is nice. But it also gets old, because ok, we get it. He's finds her physically attractive, but the connection between the MC's feels shallow and surface level.
The MFC has a best friend from back home called Esme, but she's only mentioned towards the end of the book, in passing, when the 3rd act breakup happens. Why didn't Charlotte rely more on her friends and family?? This would've given depth to her character imo.
Final thoughts: I generally love the author's novels, but you can skip this one. It is, in one word: Meh.
I really enjoyed this book.💘 There’s a lot woven into this story. And while it’s wrapped in the guise of a romance between two completely different people, it gives you plenty to think about as you read. The book touches on the ethics of reality TV — and what happens to those who, knowingly or not, become fuel for the media and social networks. It also explores themes of emotional trauma, coping mechanisms, and healing. The two characters who meet on the pages of this novel go on a journey — from attraction and doubt to deep feelings and a mature, grounded relationship. It was fascinating to watch their growth, both in their connection with each other and in how they reconcile with their past and the world around them. The only thing I’d change is that I’d make the book a bit shorter — but that doesn’t take away from how much I enjoyed reading it. I’ll definitely be checking out more of Olivia Hayle’s work.
Olivia hayle has spun her magic and created yet another beautiful couple with their blisteringly hot romance!
Aiden and Charlotte have all you’d expect from Olivia, but then with a sprinkle of her fairy magic, their angst and spice are so unique and perfect for their relationship development and how they flourish as individuals.
Starting this book, I knew I would love it because I adore Olivia's writing style. But I didn't expect to be so impressed by the unbridled feelings, the vivid emotions, the way the characters in the book learned to fight for themselves, their happiness, their opinions, how they changed not only their lives but also, I think, the lives of other people for the better.
One night, one mistake made by the hotel administration threw hope for happiness into Aiden and Charlotte's lives. This spark between them burned from the first meeting and it turned out to be what these two needed.
Aiden's story is really hard, the burden of his father's mistakes that Aiden took on is beyond words, it can break a man. But this man turned out to be courageous, strong, incredibly smart and resilient. The same goes for his feelings for Charlotte. He was not only crazy about her, her presence, her incredibility, but also supported her every step of the way. This support is something incredible. He gave her his attention, warmed her soul, and wanted to take away her pain with all his heart. Yes, the man is a bit bossy, but damn it, that's what makes him beautiful. He took my heart with his sincerity and love for his loved ones.
Charlotte was a victim of the media who managed to get out and survive, but scarred and intimidated. In fact, her story made me think about all those people who have been humiliated for life on TV screens just for the laughs of others. It's so horrible, it's so bitter, you want to cry because of it. But with the support of faithful people, she was able to let go of her pain and channel it into a good cause. Along with this pain, she was afraid of getting burned in her relationships with men. The way Charlotte tried her best to emotionally wall herself off from Aiden looked like self-destruction and self-protection at the same time. But this man was able to melt her ice - he put his heart in front of her and let her decide what to do with it. God, how sensual it was.
Charlotte and Aidan were both victims of a harsh media and society, but both were able to come out of it as winners. Their feelings, their sincerity and devotion united their souls, warmed them, gave them a real home, happiness, enjoyment of life and each other. They fascinated me, made my blood pressure rise, brought me to tears several times, but gave me an incredible boost of energy, peace and love. I sincerely thank the author for this sensual story.
I was extremely lucky and honoured to beta read this last month and reading the finalised version of Aiden + Charlotte’s story made me fall in love with them all over again. This may be my favourite book Olivia has written to date. It was unique and refreshing in the best way. She manages to balance the beautifully soft romance, sizzling chemistry, witty humour, emotional depth and character growth to put together an incredibly heartwarming story that pulls at your heart strings.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁: billionaire CEO, one night stand, forced proximity, secret identity, boy obsessed, LA setting.
I am a sucker for a good meet cute and this one is a favourite! All I’m going to say is ⊹ a hotel room mix up ⊹ self care with shower head ⊹ a game of strip poker…
I was immediately intrigued by these characters and absolutely loved their instant easy banter, the chemistry and comfort they had with one another. Olivia writes some of the most swoon worthy men I’ve ever read and she has truely outdone herself with Aiden. If you love a man who is down bad, buckle up because Aiden may one of the swooniest mmc’s I’ve read, ever. He is a broody billionaire businessman who’s mad at the world and everyone in it but absolutely melts for our girl Charlotte. For her, he’s not the important CEO, he’s 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘈𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯 and I loved that so much.
Charlotte is strong and independent and I admired her so much. She wasn’t intimidated by Aiden, going toe to toe with him and calling him on his bullshit. I loved how her past and story was revealed in this, you could feel her emotions and vulnerability through the pages and I even shed a few tears for her.
Aiden saw her, like 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙬 her but didn’t rush her into revealing anything she wasn’t ready to. He was so patient and understanding, giving her the time and trust to open up when she was ready. He did everything at her pace, while building her up and showing her just how strong she was. And while he saw her, she was seeing him right back. The chemistry between these two was on another level but had a level of pure affection. They were inevitable and I loved every part of their journey to their HEA together.
One of my favourite things in a romance is the love confession, and Aiden’s is a standout for me. The way he laid himself bare for Charlotte, letting her lead and willing to do whatever it took to just be by her side was everything.
Thank you Olivia Hayle for the honour of beta + arc reading this. I love being part of your team 🫶
Between the Lines by Olivia Hayle is a page-turner filled with passion, secrets, and a delicious dose of drama! 😍 When our heroine finds out her one-night stand is actually Aiden Hartman—the billionaire who once turned her life upside down—she’s in for the surprise of a lifetime. Now, she’s living in his glamorous Bel-Air mansion, writing his memoir, and discovering their chemistry is stronger than ever! 💥 Their fiery banter, movie premieres, and steamy late-night conversations make this book so much fun. And Aiden’s deal? He’ll share his secrets if she shares hers… oh, the suspense! 😉 If you’re looking for a romance with humor, heat, and second chances, this one’s a must-read! ❤️📖
Fast and enjoyable. Sizzling 😏 Not the best book in the world in terms of how it involved me personally, but it did examine fame as a social element in a pretty interesting way, having both characters infamous for something in their past. Aside that, a pretty lovable love story (their dynamic was fun to read) but one I think won't stay too long in my head... it's just a subjective factor🤷🏼♀️
BUT I do suggest every romance lover out there to give this a try, as it's been a fantastic company these last two days ♥️
This a story about the (long) journey to self acceptance. I first enjoyed the author with her light easy office/billionaire romance. But she has now blossomed and her books are becoming more deep and personal. I loved Aiden & Charlotte story from the beginning… and who wouldn’t with those first chapters 😅 🌶️🌶️ They both have their own story and demons to fight but they meet in the middle… You have to accept your past and the mistakes you made or even, sometimes, somebody’s else mistakes because they became who you are. I am not really into reality TV but I can understand the damage it can cause. I had a lovely time with Aiden & Charlotte.
This is a safe story with no cheating/no OW drama He falls first A tiny break up of 2 days
First of all how stunning is the cover! 💜 this book was so enjoyable to me all I wanted to do it keep picking this up to read! I feel like I could connect to characters both ways which was really sweet and overall I loved the plot it was such a cute heartfelt romance with a touch of an emotional side 🥹 let’s start with our FMC Charlotte she’s a bit shy at the beginning and she definitely has a vulnerable side to her and some secrets but watching her character growth was everything because by the eons of this book it’s like you’ve read/met a whole new character she’s work driven and works extremely hard which again is something I loved! Aiden our MMC I don’t know where to start he is literally obsessed with Charlotte from the very start she’s already his before he even knows it 🤭 Aiden is a character where you just keep meeting new sides to him because you see his work side and then his normal self side and it’s such a wonderful thing to read because Aiden only cared for Charlotte from the very start because they had a one night stand and let’s just say it didn’t stop there while I was reading I just kept discovering secrets about them they were hiding because these two were closed off at the beginning but when they fall for each other everything just sparks off! The thing I like about Aiden is when he’s done something wrong he knows it and communicate which is the best the end of this book was just so wholesome 🥹
Quotes I loved: “Aiden doesn't kiss like that. He kisses me like he could do it forever. For the rest of his life.”
“She is made up like a goddess, but she's still my Charlotte.”
“So here I am, so in love with you that it hurts.”
Tropes: 💜 One night stand ✍🏼 Hidden identity 💜 Slow burn ✍🏼 Forced proximity 💜 “Who did that to you?” ✍🏼 Workplace romance 💜 Billionaire MMC ✍🏼 He falls first and harder
“Celibacy it is,” I say and extend my hand.
Aiden looks at it for a long moment before shaking his head.
“Thats the last thing I would want to shake hands with you on, Chaos.” But he fits his large hand to mine, and a rush of heat races through me at the contact. “To not dating anyone else.”
“That’s not what I said,” I say.
But our hands bob, intertwined.
His lips curve. “Isn’t it?”
*
“Tell me you don’t want me. That I’m alone in feeling like this.”
*
“That’s selfish, all of that. But you asked me, so there it is, Charlotte. I am a selfish man. I’ve been given a lot in life, and here I am, asking for more. Asking for you. Because god help me, I’d give up everything else if it means you’ll be mine.”
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you BookSirens and Olivia Hayle for letting me read and review! :) <3
I had an absolute blast with this book. A cute romance - though layered with drama, much like an onion. Aiden and Charlotte were phenomenal characters to read. I cannot express how nice it was to read characters with no glaring red flags that were being outrageously toxic throughout the novel. I will say that I think beyond the one night stand and maybe one or two others towards the end this book could have done well without the amount of times they had sex. Basically trying to say badly that it could have been less smut genre more fluff - it got a bit distracting. The literal only other thing I was slightly sad about was the fact there were scenes - like telling her parents about their relationship - that were done off the page. The reality show aspect to the show with her past was great tension in the book. I cannot sing the praises of this enough. Especially the ethos the characters are talking about - I HAVE BEEN ON THAT TRAIN FOR SO LONG. I’m so glad the treatment of reality stars and their lack of support was a theme. If anything I wish it was longer to make more room for that, the relationship without so much sex, and following the outcomes of everything her and Aiden do to overcome and better the problems thrown in her path in the past.
This is a book that I really, really wanted to like so I feel like I reall fought for it. I tried to read it once or twice before but always got stuck at the beginning because it just felt kind of slow. This time, I just skipped the first four (-ish?) chapters, which act like an extended prologue, and it really helped!Immeidetaly diving into their second encounter created a lot of tension that I was missing at the beginning. The set up of ex-reality TV "star", the MMC being the subject of a memoir and the FMC being the ghostwrite feels very unique and was certainly intriguing to read. I do not think this is something I've seen before and I really loved that! However, the book really dragged at times and I feel like it could have been (should have been, maybe?) a lot shorter which is why this is only a 3⭐ read for me.
