God, she’s ruining me, and I’m just letting her do it, but the last thing I want to do is walk away from this.𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨: The story follows Kyleigh Nilsen, a wedding dress designer working alongside her mother. She’s in a bit of a "love sucks" funk after walking in on her mom’s affair. While attending a wedding for work, she spots Rowan Landry, a famous hockey player who used to be her brother Connor’s teammate. She’d promised her brother she’d never hook up with one of his teammates, but Rowan isn’t currently on the same team, so she figures it’s fair game. They share a delicious one-night stand, and Kyleigh essentially "dines and dashes". The next morning, they run into each other at a breakfast diner and strike a deal for a "no-strings-attached sex when we are horny" arrangement. Everything works perfectly until Connor is traded to Rowan’s team, and suddenly Kyleigh’s secret arrangement isn’t so simple anymore.

Now every time I’m with him, I feel a little more for him and then feel guilty that he doesn’t know who my brother is.
And I’m in no way ready to venture into a new relationship with all the crap with my mom still swirling through my head. I’m not even sure I believe in true love anymore.
I need to squash this need. I need to figure out how to become unattached to her, but every time I tell myself she’s just a woman I’m screwing, I wince because it doesn’t feel that way. I want more from her.
Once again, I can’t bring myself to tell him who I really am. One more day, I tell myself. Just one more day.
“Good because you’re mine.” He draws back, and I’m not sure what the look on my face is. Surprise? Shock? Elation? “You know, until we’re bored with each other.” He shrugs, playing it off.
“Totally.” I try to do the same.
Now I just have to walk in there and confess what I’ve been holding back and not allow his body and his words and his dick to sidetrack me before I can tell him who I really am
“Wait.” I press my finger to his lips. “I have to tell you something. I—” I’m cut off by the sound of a blaring fire alarm.
“There’s something I need to tell you.”
“Okay…”
“I’m not—” My phone rings from where it’s charging in the kitchen.
