Time's Warriors

Rate this book
“You are fighting time itself, and time takes no prisoners.”

When a dark energy invades the galaxy, Michael Blayne and his wife, Kate Weston, are among the few unaffected by the malevolent force. Nearly everyone else, including their parents, friends and all the powerful scienticians they know, falls victim to the darkness. Even Time’s Edge itself, the mysterious realm that governs the galaxy, has not escaped the dark forces.

Michael knows he must go to Time’s Edge and search through the infinite realm for a way to battle the dark energy. Kate, however, has foreseen that he, too, will fall to the darkness.

I get such a kick out of this series and once again I was not disappointed.

Kate is visiting her parents when strange, unpleasant things start to happen. Michael must let the GAF know he will not be rejoining their ranks even if they charge him with desertion. And Xerses - is he seriously eyeing Cilcourt for his own?

There is a dark energy moving overtaking the galaxy, few are immune. Cilcourt's shielding protects those within though as soon as they leave, well...
While both Michael and Kate are unaffected, she is at a general disadvantage being quite pregnant, due in weeks - days! (Must add Kate can use her condition to her advantage - she is great). So while she remains under the shield, Michael explores the problem. Will they find the source before the galaxy destroys itself with anger, frustration and finally war(s)?! Will Michael fall victim to the prophecy? Will they be able to change this shift to darkness before it is too late for everyone? What of their child?

I knew where this book was going in many ways, still couldn't put it down; the authors orchestrate a wild ride getting there. The only flaw I can take issue with - they are still writing the next book and I am so ready to pick it up now and continue the fun.
