This introduction to Boolean algebra begins with an intuitive approach to set theory and an axiomatic account of the fundamentals of Boolean algebra, proceeding to concise accounts of applications to symbolic logic, switching circuits, relay circuits, binary arithmetic, and probability theory. Answers to selected problems appear at the end. 1961 edition.
This is a must read book for any Computer Science and Electrical Engineering student. It requires some bare bones understanding of logical operations that any first year Computer Science and Electrical Engineering student will have. This text presents the spectrum of simple logic applied to the design of electronic circuits made up of active processing elements of electro- mechanical relays...
A noble effort, but there's really not all that much one can say about Boolean algebra. Would have made a better pamphlet, in the proud tradition of yesteryear. Where are the pamphleteers of this modern era? Le sigh.
