The Aliomenti Saga #6

Stark Cataclysm

Rate this book
It is a time of unknowns for members of the Alliance. They have no information to guide their actions, no record of the key events to influence their research.

For Fil Trask and his sister, Angel, it is also a time of growing up. It is a time when they must learn the deep sacrifices it often takes to keep a family together through great trial and tribulation.

And it is a time when they will learn that your greatest fears and deepest pain can have a profound and lasting influence upon the entire world.

I am a lifelong Ohio resident, where I live with my wife and three children. When I'm not trying to be in three places at once with my active youngsters, I'm following local professional and collegiate sports teams, or possibly unscrambling a Rubik's Cube. In lieu of sleep, I read and write fiction.

My debut novel, A QUESTION OF WILL, explores themes of technological advancement, human potential (good and bad), and the love bonding a family together. It reached the Amazon Top 100 in Science Fiction -> High Tech less than a week after publication. The sequels--PRESERVING HOPE, ASCENT OF THE ALIOMENTI, and BIRTH OF THE ALLIANCE--continue to follow Will's adventures, bringing to life the technological and Energy advances he's achieved in entirely new settings.

I am currently drafting the fifth of seven novels in the series.

The sixth book in the Aliomenti series, what can i say? it is great to see Fil and Angel Trask coming into their own and getting to finally lead the adult lives their parents fought so hard and long to make sure they did however going backwards and forwards through time is getting not only rather confusing but also boring! At this point i cannot re-read everything that happened once again from a different time perspective cause it is still a repeat. The reader knows what is coming cause we have read the story before. Fil's tragedy and the result of his escalated anger causing the cataclysm was a first, Hope's deteriorating health leading to her disappearance is a known but disappointing factor as Hope had always been in the story so far! will she make a re-appearance in the next two books? Will i get to read the next two books? At the moment i feel i cannot face re-reading the same story over and yet over again!!Alex Albrinck i do not know how you are keeping track of all this time travelling, it's become so complicated!!

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title (Audible Membership)

This episode shows the in-depth planning that went into retrieving Will Stark from the Hunters on the day they destroyed his home, and the future team of Alliance members swooped in and took him into time travelling vehicle.
It also showed why Fil, Will's son, had lost his wife and child, a reason given for his sullen attitude, in the camp that the young Will, had been taken to recuperate and learn his new power skills and command of his nano machines.

Enjoying the series

Love the plot. Each book so far has hooked me into checking out the next in the series. As many others have suggested, the typos and mistakes, are quite frustrating especially in Book 6 which I just finished. I love sci-fi/fantasy novels so this has been a fun series.

Utterly awesome!

Unfortunately I’m dictating this on my iPhone instead of typing it. So it will be brief. This book is as wonderful or more so as any other book in the series has been. I love the way he finishes each book at a satisfying point. To not read this would do yourself a great injustice if you have enjoyed the earlier books.

6 Down 2 to go

I love reading books that explore the perspectives of the different characters. This book does not disappoint in that regard. It was a slow read as there have been so many twists and turns through the book series. VERY surprising ending. Can't wait to see what comes next!

GREAT

Each book gets better then the last, can't wait to finish this one so I can read the eighth one. It's supposed to be the last. Really great series. One I will be reading over and over.

I like this series for the storyline, but it's frustrating to read at times. The author repeats a lot of information, repeatedly! And there are some overly detailed passages that are just plain boring. I'll continue the series, though, because, again, the overall story and plot are intriguing.

i guess its not over yet

The storyline in this series is a bit complex. I think I have the full storyline up till now from all the various points of view. The action i've been waiting for since the first book will hopefully happen in the next book.

What an outstanding series. A year ago I read books 1-3. Now I restarted a month ago and am book now 7 of 8. It is not often I read about characters that I care about. But Will, wife and daughter and sister - who btw can live forever, and have tamed energy and Nanos? What is not to love?

Well written, and a compelling read. Recommend.

The final chapter of the known time

Everything that happened up until now has always been somewhat scripted by Will's memory. The author does a great job of tying up all loose ends. Plus how can you not love a book that gives you a huge plot twist at the end.

Keeping Me Coming Back for More

This series is an Intricately interwoven saga across time, space and the world. Well written, suspenseful stories worth paying for.

There were some interesting new developments but they are just details to the story we know from the beginning. This saga is too drawn out.

It is truly amazing how well the time travel jumps make perfect sense. Mr Albrick explains a lot of the equipment in fine detail. A most enjoyable set of books.

It's good. Not my favorite of the series but I'm powering thru Bc I would like to see how this all plays out. Lots of time travel mechanics in this that I didn't care about, but the plot still moved along.

Although this book did seem to repeat several events that were covered in other books, these were looked at from a different point of view, mostly by those who had to invent the technology and do the training for Will to head to the past. The old Will finally makes his presence known, and I felt quite chuffed to know I was right. Who do you think it is. There are some interesting insight into the lives of Will's children and his wife after his "passing" and some shockers too. It is a great addition to the rest of the series and I look forward eagerly to the final book in the saga! If you have not yet read the previous books, it is well worth your while to start at number one and work your way through.

Might be the best book in the series yet. I liked it more than the last two because while they were still working with knowledge of the future, it was limited enough that it wasn't predictable or boring. There were some unexpected disasters too which crated some nice tension. There was a great twist at the end too, although I did have my suspicions while reading. I can tell that the last book is going to be pretty epic. They're back to "real present time", so everything should be unscripted. Plus it is the last book, so a lot should happen. Can't wait to finish the series!

Great Series

I started this series because the first book was free and I was looking for new authors to read. I am finishing this series because each book caught my attention and kept me riveted throughout. This is as interesting a book as the first book and I have high hopes for the last to be the same. If you are interested get the first free book and read it. I guarantee you won't be sorry.

This is easily the best book in the series so far. Again, Alex Albrinck reveals a secret that I had already figured out followed by a surprise that I never saw coming. There were tears in my eyes a couple of times in this book, once for sadness and once for happiness. I can't wait to see the, now unscripted, future of the Alliance. I suspect there will be more tears coming in the War that follows.

Alex albrinck is a very detailed and thorough writer, and this book covered the most information and events happening over the entire saga. All previous books basically tied together in this one. An interesting surprise ending... Cant wait to read the next book in what became one of my all-time-favourite-sagas!

I knew it!! This was the first time I predicted something and it was true.

Great addition to the series, I am so happy that it is now real time and we can see how it ends.

time travel is hella confusing. so where the heck is David? lol

Who is the person dishing out secrets to Arthur at the end..it has to be Hope, has to be.

On to the last enstallment of this amazing series.

Continues Storyline

#5 continues the Stark/ Alliance saga. There is alot of repeat descriptions of events from previous books, but seen through another character's eyes. A good deal of typos and preposition misuse, but non the less an adequate book on the continued Will Stark saga. Here's to hoping #6 brings around the finish in style.

It is a relief at the end that finally they are free from history. I look forward to the last book and seeing how things develop that are not a retread of action from six books previously.
