When I first received my copy of Peoplescapes I was struck by the expressive, colorful painting on the cover. Nancy Calef certainly chose one of her more provocative works to represent what was inside the pages of this charming and heartfelt book.

I was immediately drawn into the author's tales of her atypical and often dysfunctional childhood. The modeling industry is a world where the sexualization of women and girls is still very much prevalent, and it was somewhat shocking to find out that N

Nancy Calef's book "Peoplescapes -- My Story From Purging To Painting" is a documentary of her life and transcendence over debilitating mothering. Her story is almost as unbelievable as the glory and genius of her art. Nancy is a 10 pointed star that lights up duller and more obscure corners of the universe. She brings the word "wonder" into prominent existence.

Nancy's books is accompanied by her glowing art, and I recommend that people examine her website for further insight into her creativiti
