About the author

Nigel Blundell is a journalist who has worked in Australia, the United States and Britain. He spent 25 years in Fleet Street before becoming an author and contributor to national newspapers. He has written more than 40 books, including best-sellers on crime and royalty. He co-wrote the Top Ten exposé Fall of the House of Windsor, which first revealed the so-called ‘Squidgygate’ tape and the infidelity of both Princess Diana and Prince Charles. His other factual subjects have included military history, celebrity scandals, and ghosts and the paranormal.

Considering this was written in 1992, I'm interested to read more about the Windsors to see what predictions Blundell and Blackhall implied have come to fruition practically 20 years later. This traces the history of the monarchy from the Normans forward and ends with a transcript of Princess Diana's phone conversation with James Gilbey 12-31-89. Blundell and Blackhall concluded the monarchy had no future, but some changes they thought needed to happen continue to happen. It certainly gives credence to Queen Elizabeth's influence on British royalty.

Fall of the House of Windsor by Nigel Blundell (Contemporary Books 1992) (Biography). Author Nigel Blundell does not miss an opportunity to blackguard the entire Windsor clan. No available speck of dirt goes undished. Each and every member of the royal household receives a full chapter outlining the separate and special accusations against each. I suppose that must be what it takes to sell broadsheets to Britons. Note: When this book went to press, Diana had not yet been martyred and then sainted, and Wills and Harry were still little boys. My rating: 7/10, finished 2/18/16.
