It was great to see Michael get his own woman. He almost messed it up, but he pulled his head out of his rear in enough time to fix things. I enjoy this series. Lots of special ops actions and good romance. I also like the SOAR camaraderie.

They are trained soldiers, the best of the best, the ones called on to stab at the heart of the enemy without getting caught. They are also a man and a woman and their chemistry in and out of the target zone make them allies with a tentative connection neither quite know how to handle. Their bravery on the frontline seems to come more naturally than the bravery they must show to take a chance on love. Bring on the Dusk by M. L. Buchman doesn’t fit precisely in one genre. A well-written and easy ...more

My Review:
I swear this author just gets better and better. The prose in this novel is gorgeous. I think I could spot M.L. Bushman's writing without knowing he was the author because he has such a distinctive writing voice and I do really like the style to it.

In this novel the hero and the heroine are both quiet people. They flow with the world around them, watching everything, and reacting accordingly. That sense of peacefulness and just existing saturates the pages of this book. Normally M.L.

I love how Buchman combines reality with fiction. By placing his stories in real life situations they become so much more intense. The fighting is just as realistic as the downtime. Buchman’s attention to detail really makes this story even better. I like how he uses, and defines, acronyms in an easy to follow manner that doesn’t disrupt the storyline. This story is fast paced without rushing. Buchman’s writing is straightforward yet inviting. He doesn’t get caught up in flowery or longwinded na ...more
Reviewing M.L. Buchman's books is like stumbling over many stepping stones because I never quite know where to begin with the bundle of contradictions that each book presents. The military detail and action are never lacking but sometimes even those get too much for me, to the point where I think character growth could have been sacrificed for that.

'Bring on the Dusk' is no different: Buchman's heroes and heroines are larger than life, almost removed from reality, but the further they are from

Captain Claudia Jean Casperson has strives to be the best of the best. Ever since the first woman made it as a pilot in the Night Stalkers, it has been her number one priority and goal. Now she has her chance and her assignment she is given a crash course of acclimation and sent right into battle.

Colonel Michael Gibson has never made a personal connection. Knowing his days are numbered, he's kept himself isolated and at the top of his team. When Claudia pulls him and his team out of a harrowing

Captain Claudia Jean Casperson and Colonel Michael Gibson have been called in to subdue a conflict while remaining under the radar. It will take all their strength but it will take even more to for them to breach the walls around their heart in this exciting romantic suspense.

Claudia has worked hard for her promotion to the Night Stalkers but she’s closed herself off from messy emotions and Michael’s not much better and even worse in some ways and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the s

M.L. Buchman isn't simply a master of the contemporary military romantic thriller genre, he's mastered the art of portraying 21st-c. women and men as equals without being the same.

Bring on the Dusk is the 6th book in the Night Stalkers series by M. L. Buchman. We are once again immersed in the exciting world of SOAR, (Special Operations Aviation Regiment), also known as the Night Stalkers. This one focuses on Colonel Michael Gibson of Delta Force and Captain Claudia Jean Casperson of the Night Stalkers. Claudia has just completed her SOAR training and is in route when she is redirected to assist in an extraction for a ground team of Delta Force operators. Michael
Since we met Michael, the D boy, I have been intrigued with him. I liked the role that he had in the last book, even as he was walking a fine line with Tricia and Bill.

I was surprised by Claudia, she was so quiet, so understated that it shouldn't have surprised me how quickly she got under Michael's skin. Michael doesn't do flashy and while Claudia is many things, flashy would be the last.

I loved how right from the start it seemed like Michael and Claudia had an understanding. How what usually
I feel so disappointed. I have loved Michael, the quiet Delta guy, in every book and I was sooo looking forward to his story.

This was (in my opinion) just awful. Only the mission saved this from being a one star review.

*commence rant* Michael comes across as some woo-woo mumbo-jumbo weirdo - I honestly expected him to say he believed in astrology at one point. Claudia is similarly odd, oh and she is suddenly even better than the great Emily Beale - I don't think so! At 56% I was just bored. Ther

I've never been so enraptured by characters who barely say anything to each other. Buchman has it down to an art- falling in love without the need to speak. This doesn't mean they're always comfortable with each other, but that they just know that words aren't needed to express themselves. I'm really impressed by this novel. I've read a couple in the series, but this one's really got me excited! With great action scenes to balance out the relationships, this might actually be my favorite one yet ...more

Wow! Bring on the Dusk is another wonderful addition to the Night Stalker series. We meet Claudia, a little bird pilot as she joins SOAR. As you know, there is plenty of action with the Night Stalkers. Strong women and stronger men, who do whatever it takes to defend our country. When sparks ignite, we follow their stories through more unknown territory of following their hearts. A great read!

I have read and reviewed the entire Night Stalkers series, so I couldn’t miss this one. And if you love military romance, you shouldn’t miss this series either. Start with The Night Is Mine and be prepared to sign over a bunch of your nights.

It wasn’t until the book hit me over the head, but all the books in this series have time in the title, specifically some time between dusk and dawn - because that is when the Night Stalkers operate. The dark is their f

Finally, a love for D-boy Michael.

I liked the fact that he chose to share his trees faith Claudia. However, it is ironic that this most seemingly brave warrior turns out to be a coward when it really counts.

This is also the book in the series where Emily finds out she is expecting a second child with her husband, Mark. That scene was not very realistic either, unusual, but not realistic.

I loved Claudia. Like I kinda want to be her. But for some reason I found myself skimming after about the halfway point. I’m used to my romantic suspense being heavy on the romance and heavy on the suspense. And, if I’m being honest, explicit in the sex scenes. As a whole, the romance and the suspense felt a little too tame and I started losing interest.

Mr. Buchman

Of all of your books that I have read, this was the very best. Your description of that quiet, calm center that these two characters have, struck me to the core. Your description actually brought me to my center so quickly and completely that I dropped into meditation. I will enjoy owning this book for years, as I read and reread it. Thank you so much.

The action in this book of the series is hard to grab. It isn't easy to follow. The whole Michael falling in love is interesting but not believable. His previously learned personality doesn't fir with the way that came about. I like them as a couple. Other parts aren't very realistic either.

Think this is my favorite....would love a follow up from this - stories from the titans OR stories from the Trees

Bring On The Dusk is the sixth book in author M.L. Buchman’s Night Stalker Series, a series I have loved since stumbling upon a few years earlier. With each book I grow to love the series more and more and with Bring On The Duck, I have found my favorite in the series thus far. Claudia and Michael’s story was beautiful and thrilling. I loved everything about it.

I had long awaited this book in the Night Stalker series. Michael has played a side role in almost every book so far (I say almost because he is not in the novellas). The book is a great way to continue the series, however, it is also a completely stand alone book as well. You do not have to have read the other books to understand anything in this book. I was surprised with the new female character that was introduced. She was not nearly as wild or deeply scarred as the other female characters s ...more

Military action, black ops and breathtaking romance in artfully crafted story.
Claudia and Michael are top of the crop when it comes to military talent in their own fields. Both being introverts, observes of the world, that have held the world and people at a certain distance, are a bit loss with finding their soul mates, someone who has access to their hearts. Together they make amazing team, they are in sync with each other, they thought patterns aligned. They can communicate with each other wi

I am not normally one for starting part way in a series but I decided to give this book a read. I can tell you I will make my way back through the series to see what else it has to offer. This is a very well written Military Suspense with Romance front and center. Although fiction it has a very true feeling without the Military jargon making it difficult to follow.

Claudia is feeling a little overwhelmed with just getting her feet wet as a SOAR and she is t

This was the first book I've read in the Night Stalkers Series. I am hooked. I was impressed with the amount of detail the author incorporated into the story. My mind's eye clearly loved seeing the world through the words of this story. I was also very appreciative of the amount of feeling and description went into defining the two main characters.
