Bu kitap, Türkiye’de Manisa yöresinin insanları, içinde yaşadıkları toplum ve onların yemek kültürü hakkındadır. Tunç Devri’nden bugüne, bu coğrafyada yaşamış insanların, özellikle de kadınların binlerce yıl boyunca koruyup yaşattıkları yemek gelenekleri hakkında bir hikâyedir. Hızla değişen dünyamızla birlikte yemek önceliklerimiz de değişime uğruyor ve her gün bu konular hakkında tekrar düşünmemiz, yeni kararlar vermemiz gerekiyor. Dolayısıyla bu kitap yemek konusundaki tercih ve önceliklerinde daha dengeli olmak isteyen herkes için hem bir yemek kitabı, bir rehber, hem de bizlerle paylaşılan tariflerin ve yemek konulu faaliyetlerin kalıcı bir kaydı niteliğindedir.
