When I asked if there was a particular book he'd like to review, T grabbed a TMNT figure and this book. T has been wild about the Turtles lately, so I thought it would be a good idea to get a book about them. I loved the Turtles as a kid! This would be radical, right?

V's Review

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fight a mutant cockroach and Kraang-droids from another dimension.

This has the Turtles and fight scenes, end of story. I think I regret my decision to get it for him. Let's just play Turtles, not read about them.

T's Review
(age 3 years)

V: What did you like, T?

T: I liked the cockroach...I liked the page that was only the cockroach...I just liked it.

V: What was the best part of this story?

T: The cockroach!

V: Who might like this book?

T: The Turtles would, 'cuz it's their own book.

Okay read.

I was kind of excited at the beginning of the book because the cockroach wasn't the "bad guy". Then she inevitably became the "bad guy" and meet a not-so-dignified end. Kind of a letdown. Also, why were her eggs explosive?? Not really sure what was going on with her mutations.

The rest of the story was okay.

This book includes "Ninja-scope", which I am assuming is a sort of decoder lens. I got this book from the library and it did not include the lens so I missed out on some of the pictures. I was able to see a few of them, but the text pretty much tells you what they are. I would say that a downside to this book is that it is clearly pretty easy to lose the ninja-scope.
