The next books of the series! The Dark Healer (Book #4): The Dark Healer (Book #5):
The Richter clan was getting stronger and becoming a real nuisance to a lot of people.
All the spheres of influence have long been divided among aristocrats, gangsters, and corrupt officials. And now, they all wanted to destroy the upstart healers.
But the real evil dwelled in the past. Max was looking for those who had tried to kill him once before.
So we are up to the third book in the series. There is some dark humor on this series that is off the charts. The whole Necromancer - Healer play of words is a lot of fun. The Richter Clan is making progress in more ways than one. They have primarily advanced by beating a couple mid level clans that usually prey upon the smaller clans like the Richters. In other words they are punching above their weight. But as some clans realize that the Richters are no pushovers this growth will stall. Max is very aware of this and instead of getting rid of Isabella he makes her realize that a partnership is good for both. But on one thing he is not stopping or delaying. Max wants the Richter land back and he wants it now.
I received a review copy of this book. Dark Healer book 3 is the third book in this series, and we get to see Max really go to town on some of his enemies, while training his descendant, as well as finding a new relative. I just love the way Max acts completely clueless when others try to throw their weight around, that's one of the most interesting parts of the book, and of course, his solutions to his problems are always entertaining. I'm really liking this series.
I expected Ali to start trying to get out of answering the question, but I was surprised by his immediate response. “Isee you’re looking for information,” hesaid. “I’ll take you to a person who has it. Information about the fate of your clan, Mr. Richter. Or should I call you Prince Richter?”
Lost 2 stars for NOT writing a Recap.
I think every reader needs to start doing this to force authors to write a quick Recap chapter, which readers can skip if they remember, and those who don't won't stop reading the series.
Like I mentioned in my previous reviews, these books are so much fun. They're like popcorn and you can't eat just one. Honestly they're seriously addictive. The book is just chuckablock full of nonstop action. As Maximilian Richter has his hands full making more chimeras, and dealing with new Clan Wars, oh and the neighbors. He's also gotta clear a foci killing the monster toads, snakes, and even some gators too... So grab the book and start your new addiction.
Here's another arc that I've done. It's an enjoyable read, a bit short. I sent in the corrections for mistakes that I found. So hopefully this will be more polished. I'm gonna go read the arc for book 4.
7/10 Mostly because I thought it was short. I've gotten used to reading 4 and 500 page books.
This Series is fun, amusing, and ability Off Colored in the way it deals with dead criminals. If your looking for a amusing Tounge in Cheek type story, to get away from the political world news, this is one that I recommend. Narrator does a Great job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.
This book took things to a new level as Max became more embroiled with the other aristocrats and their power games. New secrets were revealed and progress was made in discovering what happened to his clan
Max is great. Olga is terrific. The entire storyline and world is just very interesting. Very absorbing. A page turner, as they say. I very much enjoyed the book! On to the next.
The number plates on the car information is a bit fishy as the city can only reached by train (which of course could transport the car even though this feels excessive)
The clan is doing nicely! Max is expanding the clans holdings while making sure the clan is strong. Training sessions is making his clan very strong indeed!
