What inspired you to write your first Novel? "My girlfriends and I were sitting around discussing our latest reads, all the perfect Cinderella type romance novels that are out there and how we would like to read something that more could relate to. I have been an avid reader since I was a child and love to write, so I decided to write something for us. A not so perfect love story; one that had a little humor, tied in some vampires, a little adult content, morally hard choices and was a satisfying read for all those hard working readers who want some good ole' junk food for the brain when they come home after a long day at work."
Raised in California she moved to Colorado to pursue her education and fell in love with the area as well as her now husband.

Though Kristina loved her art and literature classes in college she put that to the side in order to start her career in nursing. After establishing her career she felt something was missing. While she adores being a nurse she felt her artistic side was calling and started to pick up her writing and painting again, setting aside a few hours a day on her day's off. After a period of time she found that her short story had grown into her first novel. Writing is a passion of hers and she feels the greatest achievement in her art is creating works that bring enjoyment to others.

She continues to reside in Colorado with her husband and children. Kristina is working on her third novel, part III of The Lunar Eclipse Series.

The brilliance continues!
The story of Sasha and Etienne grows and intrigues further in this book. Picking up a few years after the first book, Sasha's life suddenly changes. But just as she starts to find a new stability, outside forces tear her world apart.
Just as in the the first book, Ms Canady maintains the high standard of fascinating story telling. I simply can't recommend this incredible series highly enough! Now I desperately need to read book three, before I explode with frustration over not knowing what will happen next!

In Midnight Unveiled, the cat's out of the bag and Sasha is trying her best to settle into her new life.  She's slowly embracing the change, and her and Etienne are able to be together.  Of course there are a few bumps along the way. Her character seems to falter a bit as she learns more about her new world.  There's a scene when Etienne is trying to teach her about her new life and she doesn't fully appreciate it.  I felt like even in this book, she's still selfish and has some developing to do before she's the goddess she's destined to be!  She still has to learn that sometimes the best things in life are not easy.  She realizes how much she loves Etienne and how strong their bond is. Remember when I said, her character is being groomed into a major force?  Well, you find out just what it is and it is amazing!  In Book 2, you really begin getting to the meat of the story.  You have the background on Etienne and Sasha, now it's time to see what the next steps are in their journey and that involves a few twists.  We learn that Etienne has a few secrets he's hiding, but his love for Sasha is as solid as ever.  He's had to wait a long time for her and he cherishes her.  We also find out the he's is not the only one who has his eye on Sasha.  There is definitely more action in Midnight Unveiled *wiggles eyebrows*, it's just enough to satisfy my inner horn ball without taking away from the story.
I'm not sure where Kristina drew inspiration for this story, but I feel like I'm a part of something very special in the making!  Sasha and Etienne's story is one of love, patience, understanding, forgiveness, and self discovery.   I'm hooked on this story and I'm looking forward to book 3!

Well what can I say other than I love it. Midnight Bloom (book one in the Lunar Eclipse Series) was one of the first books I reviewed and I admit...it took me a while to warm to Etienne but it was a brilliant start to the books. But the second book for me is always the making of a good series as to which direction it will go in.

Midnight Unveiled did not disappoint.

The characters have grown...well as much as they can (pardon the pun with vampires!) and we see Sasha in a different phase of her life. Her personal circumstances have given her permission to accept what she has been holding back on for too long.

But upon accepting her new found freedom it is quickly snatched away from her with the love she feels for Etienne and what the pair need to face together. But my initial wariness of Etienne completely dissolved yoke reading this book. He still has a lot to learn but his main priority is Sasha. His love knowing no bounds for her. With danger in sight for Sasha the group of friends Etienne holds close lay their lives on the line for her and vice versa However a journey to "meet the parents" holds danger beyond their comprehension.

As Sasha grows and develops will all be snapped away from her? Will she never get the happily ever after she desperately longs for? Will it ever just be plain sailing for the two?

*be warned there is a cliffhanger to this book - I think it's killing me right me now but it's brill and worth the hangover*

An incredible story and I can't wait to read Kristina's next instalment!

This story picks up ten years after the first book in the series, and I gotta say, I'm relieved that Sasha and Stephan have finally worked things out, even if it's not how she originally hoped. With their story now complete, it's time for Sasha and Etienne to have theirs. But all is not rosy in the garden of love.

Etienne is pushy and demanding and doesn't give her a moment's peace until she gives in to his demands. It's a character flaw that I don't know whether to love or hate, but it suits him.

Sasha is always cautious. Especially around her boys. But when things come into the open and Sasha agrees to accompany Etienne on a trip to France, everything goes belly-up, and not in a good way.

Enter Marcos, stage right-lunatic and creepy dude! He wants Sasha for himself, and nothing will deter him, least of all her connection to Etienne, who I am more and more convinced is some form of royalty.

All in all a strong instalment of the series and I eagerly look forward to the next!

Midnight Unveiled

Sasha is still holding onto her human life. Wanting everything to work with her husband and to take care of her boys. Years have past and every day it gets harder to fight her feeling for Etienne. He is the other half of her soul...

Will Sasha give into her feelings for Etienne?
Can they finally be together ?

Loved this book and can't wait to read more :)

Thrilling story with lots of twists and turns. This is the second book in the series and I highly suggest reading the books in order. This was contains some steamy scenes and recommend for mature readers only.

The story continues and we jump eight years forward. The relationships between Sasha and her husband have changed and are about to change even more. Her relationship with Etienne has come to a standstill. She only sees him to feed and her life and his have become dismal. But everything is about to change and she is about to learn so much more about herself. Magic is definitely in the air.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.

I received this book for an honest review.

This book picks up with the Sasha's twins graduating high school.
Sasha is just a shell of a person.
Her decision had consequences that neither Etienne or Sasha could imagine.

She tried to please everyone in her "human" life that her true love/soulmate had to suffer.
Finally free from Stephan who didn't deserve Sasha at all walks away from their marriage, Sasha takes off to reevaluate things so to speak.

FINALLY! Etienne and Sasha are bonded.
Now comes the trouble.
All through the book, I wanted to yell at Sasha for being selfish.
She put Etienne through hell and still wants to push him away.
She has these gifts, these powers and has even met the Goddess herself and STILL pushes away her vampire life.
Instead of training, knowing, and learning about it, she wants things her way and the hell with anyone else.

Ang her best friend is even trying to get her to realize that she has these gifts, this man who loves her, and that she should embrace it.
She will make mistakes, but if she gives her all, then she can't not be ashamed of it.
Ang is pretty much telling Sasha to take that leap of faith.
Trust in the Goddess, and her love for Etienne.

In the last book, her scent was picked up by a spoiled brat with the name of Marcos.
Now Marcos with the help of Dark Magic Healers, have drugged her, and kept her captive.
She is weak from not feeding and the torture.
Marcos will stop at nothing to have Sasha as his own.

I can't wait for the third book in this series.
I need more!
Again, this series is better than the Twilight series.
I love the history of these books.
I want to learn more and find out all the answers to my questions.

So there is so much going on in this book but a lot of answers after the following the first two books so closely. So it will be hard making this one spoiler free!
All I can say is that Sasha is safe, loved and reunited with her children at a family event when she realises Etienne's true worth and background when meeting the parents. But would the event be all it seemed or be the beginning of something much bigger for the pair.

Extract:
"For being so close to the love of my life, I have never felt further away"

Sasha is left emotionally scarred after her bad experience at the hands of Marcos and struggles through her fear returning to the life she had. Turning on the aspects of her life she shut down to keep herself intact. This made her so endearing to me. I can't put into words how strong Sasha is and how dearly I love this character. Etienne at her side the whole way. Along with their friends and family to help her, guide her and build her powers back to what they were and show her more of her abilities.

"I choose to love every aspect of you, darkest parts included. And you are absolutely perfect just the way you are. So, shut that pretty little mouth of yours and let me in so that our demons may play together in a harmonious symphony of passion..."

With more excitement towards the end of the book, I can only imagine where part 4 of the Lunar Eclipse Series will go but I am so excited for it. It can't come soon enough!
By far, my favourite book of the series and I read it in less than a day because I simply couldn't put it down. Kristina Canady has done it again. A truly well deserved five star read.

So this book starts off 8 years after the first book left off. 8 years! I was not expecting that, and I was extremely surprised that Sasha had continued in her marriage for all those years. We don't get much detail about what occurred over the course of time... but I guess that would be a lot to pack in.

Sasha's kids are going off to college and her marriage is over, so it's time she stopped fighting fate and got on with her HEA with Etienne, right? Wrong. Sasha is stubborn as ever and honestly, I just want to shake the spit outta her. She thinks she is altruistic and puts everyone else first, but she comes off as selfish and spoiled. She is the reason these books haven't gotten higher ratings from me. She flat out rubs me the wrong way. I like Etienne much more... but I feel like we don't get enough insight into him, his character, past, etc. He's just the gorgeous brooding vampire allowing Sasha to treat him like a doormat. I was so glad when he finally stopped caving to her regarding her family and their relationship. And by the way, why is no one worried about her boys becoming vampires?

I like most of the secondary characters in this book (excluding Stephan). I liked that this book had more action and plot... the writing improved considerably since the first installment. Though I absolutely detested the ending. Warning, it's a cliffhanger. But just when I thought Sasha's character was getting better and smarter, she does something surprisingly dimwitted, even for her. I'm hoping the next book continues to improve and that Sasha will miraculously turn into a character worth the gifts she has been bestowed. Otherwise, I'm stealing Etienne for myself.

*** Received on behalf of the author for an honest review ***

Midnight Unveiled is the second instalment of The Lunar Eclipse Series.

Fast forward 10 years……

Sasha has finally embraced what she is. After working out her life out with Stephan and her kids, it’s now time for Sasha to move on.

With her mate……Etienne.

But will Sasha and Etienne get their happily ever after?
What or who could possibly stand in their way?
Can they find the peace they both deserve?
Can they find happiness?
Can they simply just be?
Or is someone out to destroy them?

Again you will get no spoilers from us, you are just going to have to read it to find out.

We found Midnight Unveiled an awesome read. We found we were more connected to the story line compared to the first novel and really enjoyed this instalment. We loved the development of Sasha and her coming to terms with her abilities, and we especially loved the demanding, dominant side of Etienne.
A thoroughly, enjoyable read.

We rate Midnight Unveiled 4 star read and look forward to the third instalment.

Exciting, engaging, enthralling. This book was all of that and more. It is fast paced with a ton of drama and action. So many emotions whirled around in my mind as I read. In the first book I was left feeling a bit leery at the prospect of Sasha possibly cheating on her husband or leaving her family behind to explore this new life as a vampire. I can honestly say that if the author hadn’t written the characters and plot so well, I would have stopped reading. The natural demise of Sasha’s marriage was well done and fitting. I was a little stunned at the beginning of this book that it elapsed after 8 years from the ending of book 1 but it was not a deterrent and it worked. Sasha’s continued struggles left me really feeling like I knew where she was coming from and why she was making the choices that she did. This installment of the series grabbed my attention and demanded that I not put it down until the last word was read. By far one of the best books I have read in years.

Midnight Unveiled starts out by going forward 10 years. Without giving too much away, I was like “finally!” Sasha really gets to start living and embracing her vampire side. Canady does an excellent job at filling in the gaps of those 10 years in the beginning of the book. As Sasha is settling into her life embracing who she truly is and discovering her gifted talents, new obstacles start to form. Etienne and Sasha’s love and relationship is somewhat hanging in a very delicate balance when a very dangerous threat presents itself. When I reached the end of the book, I was literally yelling out loud “NOOOOO!!!!!”

As with the first book, Midnight Bloom, this book is excellent and kept me wanting more. I cannot wait for the 3rd book in this series!

Book 2 picks up 8 years after you left off in the first. Sasha is trying to make her marriage work by keeping her distance from Etienne only meeting up for feedings. Etienne is doing is very best to respect her wishes in hope that she will come to terms with it on her own. But finally after so many years they will be together even if it is for a short bit before craziness happens! This book was full of surprises and twist I loved every minute of it. We get to see Sasha accept many things she had been fighting but not all because where is the fun it that.lol You get to see all of the characters you fell in love with in the start. Amazing book you have to read it to get in on all of the greatness happening in this series!!

So 8 years later, that's right EIGHT! We pick up with Sasha kids going to college (luckily her husband was there to raise them!) and her marriage is finally over. So Sasha and Etienne can be happy with each other. Or so I though...sometimes Sasha makes me want to shake her. This book was little more interesting for me maybe because I had already meet Sasha and knew how she is. The characters have matured and that helped with reading. Danger lurks around the corner as Sasha is finally accepting who/what she is. The storyline is stronger and what seems all over the place as book one, which helped in reading it. Overall, I enjoyed continuing the story and look forward to book 3.

This is the 2nd book in the series and picks up 8 years after the 1st one ends. Sasha is still living with her husband and kids though they're about to start college and keeping Etienne at arms length. But when things take a turn she doesn't expect she's able to finally be with Etienne. As she continues to learn her powers and the ones that are emerging she still won't give Etienne all of her. When a evil vampire find about her, he decides he must have her for himself.

This is a great series and the story just grabs you. Once I started reading I had a hard time putting it down until I reached the end of this book. Can't wait to read the next one!.

I received an ARC for my honest opinion.

After reading this first book in the series I was little wary of reading this one however I actually really liked this book. The book starts ten years after Midnight bloom ended. Her sons are graduating. Her Human life has fallen apart and she is now divorced. It is finally time for her and Etienne to finally have their chance. She still is a selfish bitch to him and now there is a new threat to their happiness. Will Etienne ever just be able to be happy with Sasha?

Midnight Unveiled continues the story of Sasha & Etinenne. Sasha still is struggling to maintain her regular life. She is struggling with her attraction to Etienne. She is struggling to become what the goddess says she is. Can Sasha accept fate and finally take a leap. Obstacles keep coming at Sasha and as Etienne tries to tell her the more you fight it the more it will fight back. Then the straw that breaks the camel's back happens and Sasha has no choice but to accept fate now & accept her feelings and love for Etienne. Follow their amazing real journey to each other. LOVE THIS SERIES

This book picks up 10yrs later after book 1 and is perfect for a starting (or continuing point) for this series. I love how they finally work things out and have that undeniable love for one another. It reminded me of my relationship with my husband and brought back memories (good and bad) that made us stronger. Connecting on that relationship level is hard when reading books for me but this made it amazingly easy and I loved every minute of it!!!!
