It was just supposed to be a one time thing, posting a naked picture of herself on a social website that has hundreds of other women doing the same thing. Only it very quickly hooked Abby on the high of knowing that others desired her body. Until it’s just one man that has her full attention.
Jack is gorgeous and he wants her and it’s Abby’s worst luck, she believes, that he’s in the same city of Austin. Abby isn’t ready for more than what she can give from behind the safety of her keyboard. But Jack won’t take no for an answer when her body and her moans are telling him yes.
Tracking her down Jack is even more enticing in person than from behind the computer and she can’t ignore that her body wants him just as badly as he wants her. Jack won’t give up on her and Abby has to decide if she’s willing to give up the safety of being alone to let Jack in.
Due to commitment issues I have lived in many different cities and my favorite is Chicago but I have managed to settle into Austin and perhaps my commitment issues are behind me. I have enjoyed reading from a very young age and it wasn't long before the children books bored me and I read the books my mother enjoyed Stephen King and Dean Koontz and I didn't sleep without the light on until I was about ten. I came across my first Harlequin by accident and it was love at first read, no one died and happy endings? It was a whole new world and I loved it. I wrote my first story at eight and everyone died, of course. Since then I would like to think I've gotten better and now I'm writing the happily ever afters I first fell in love with, with some hot sex thrown in along the way. As a plus size woman myself, I have started writing the stories I always wanted to see myself in but never did. And now I'm ecstatic to give BBWs the happily ever afters with hot Alphas they so rarely get.
The Abby and jack characters were extremely hot... their chemistry was off the hook. I wished the author had not rushed the ending....but its passable.
Abby is a typical straight laced young lady. She came from a strict upper middle class family, graduated from college, and later moved away to find herself. Or get away from her past.
She, like all sheltered girls, has an interest in the wild side, so she decides to join an online social website where you post nude pictures of yourself. Abby, of course, wants to remain hidden and discreet. Beautiful Jack of course has other plans. He is intrigued and wants to be with her. Now what?! What happens to Abby!!
At first I thought, OH NO! This is not going to go so well. Is Jack the beautiful man going to be a stalker? A lover stalker? Is she going to fall in love with her capture? What happens?! Is it just sex sex sex?? Well my friends I was wrong wrong wrong. Jack could be misconstrued as stalkerish, there is sex (sizzling sex with oneself and a partner), and then there is a dramatic turn in events that I did NOT forsee!
Fiona masterfully created a world inside of Abby's protective bubble and built a character that I grew to adore. She was weak but strong and yet grew STRONGER 3/4th of the way through. She really embodied a true lady. Professional on the outside and a sex kitten on the inside (without being overly slutty). Jack! Sigh... What can I say. He was and will always be beautiful inside and out. Even the rough patches I knew he was just being a stubborn brat! I did want to kick him really freaking hard too!
With all of that being said, Fiona Murphy I enjoyed your book. I recommend it. I truly truly do! I look forward to reading more from your catalog. I give Abby has Gone Wild 5 stars and I tip my Nerd Girl Hat to you Fiona!
This is one of those books that I one-clicked without reading a thing about it. Why you ask? Thanks to Twitter :) Through a chance chat and mutual appreciate for the goal of RT I saw this hot cover posted on Fiona's twitter page and then learned it was actually #FREE at the time I went searching for it on Amazon. Now how can you not give it a try for those two great reasons? Well how about the fact that in 101 pages you get a nice hot package of a good story and some great characters to enjoy?! I ate up Abby and Jack's story breezing through it as an easy read and really enjoyed seeing Abby's growth! I guess if I had any dislikes I do have to admit that the title was not as inviting for me as the cover...there was more depth and sexiness than I think it gives it credit for. There were a couple slow parts for me in the beginning but that quickly dissipated as the story progressed and I got used to Fiona's writing style. I hope you give it a read (perfect little lunch time quickie)!
We'll if you are in the mood for not only a great story line but a little more raunchiness than I think you have found your new favorite author! Abby stumbles into a website that has some naughty pictures and gets the urge to partake. Not just for the sheer naughtiness of it but to see if others find her attractive. As Abby dives deeper into this new obsession she is drawn to one of her admirers, Jack. He is funny, witty, just the right amount of dirty & a drool worthy body. When things become real between them Abby runs scared. Jake is determined to move things along with Abby but knows he has to take it slow. When all the walls come down and their relationship is progressing I am on the edge knowing that it cannot be rainbows and unicorns for the second half of the book. Sure enough, things go to hell in a hand basket. Will Abby be strong enough for jack? A lot of hot, dirty, raunchy sex scenes. Fabulous ending.
I was surprised by this story. It was written very well and had great characters that you could bond with. It had a good balance of sex and a love story. About 96 pgs. Abby was a normal boring woman. She had a bad sexual experience in college and gave up on life. She would work, read, and play on the internet. She explore a new site and posted pics of her. Soon she met a guy named jack, and was building a bond with him. He helped her over come her past and started teacher her about life and sex. As their bond grew stronger, jack was in a work accident. Their love was being tested. He didn't want her when he was weak and she fought to be strong. Their love continued to be tested and grew in many ways.
Wow, this was not what I thought it would be at all. Of course, I didn't read the description too closely but I was very pleasantly surprised. It is definitely romantic erotica but is also a good story with developed characters. Added the author's other books to my wish list, even though she made me stay up until 2am so I could finish this book! ;-D
Wow. brilliant story. The title does not give the story justice. so much more to it and was pleasantly surprised. Abby and Jack who would have thought. Jack knew what he wanted and so glad he could see the bigger picture. Abby needed someone to understand her and Jack sure did. It was everything I love in a story. So pleased to read it and an added bonus FREE.. Now off to read A Favor.
I truly enjoy Fiona 's writing. Her character development is unbelievable. For me, it's like I am in the room watching the love affair happen around me. Abby's story is so rich and has so many layers. Great job Fiona! You have a fan for as long you create stories like this.
While it is a good story. The point that it glamorises terrifies me. It seems that this author is not aware of how powerful her words could be to a naive individual. It could easily have turned nasty. While this book is worth a read it should also come with a warning how nasty the situation could have become and I feel as though this bit was skated over.
This is the first bok I have read by Fiona Murphy and I have to say it was on spot with the emotions that Abby and Jack went through and how when you love someone you just don't ever give up
I didn't know if I would like this story, having a little too much raunchiness publicized over the internet. The characters grew on me and their love story evolved.
This is my first book I read by Fiona Murphy and I really enjoyed it. Definitely will read more. The main characters were hot 🔥 as hell and the story was good. I love the ending part.
Some of the dialogue was ridiculous but other than that I loved the slow burn instalove-ness it was so well done I felt the love and romance and regret et and angst and passion
Fiona Murphy’s books are so good, and this one is no exception. I think this is the sixth book of her’s I've read. I love the twists you don't expect and how the epilogs always leave you walking away fulfilled.
Short read to cleanse my reading palate. The story was satisfactory with great chemistry between the leads. The ending I felt was a bit rushed however I still liked the book.
Sexy, you could tell the author was trying hard to make the book sex-positive but the part of how they got to know each other was skimmed through... flawed characters but love and hot sex won
The story was slow to start going, took a bit longer to grab my attention. The back story of both characters explains why they are the way they are. I would read something else by the same author.
I wish Goodreads gave 1/2 stars because I'd give this one 3 1/2. This was my first read by indie author Fiona Murphy, and wow, it got off to a hot start! Naughty, naughty! And naughtiness in public places, which I like. The author writes with great pacing. It was quite an easy e-book to read. Also, what a sexy cover!! The story has a heroine with some emotional skeletons in her closet and she hooks up with a very big, sexy hero who looks like he could have stepped right out of a Chippendale calendar. ;)
Critique-wise, being an English major with editing experience, I did notice some grammar spots that could be cleaned up, hence the 3 and not the 4 star. But I still think Murphy is talented and shows a lot of promise.
Sexy, erotic, fabulous escapism. Abby starts as a mystery as she begins posting selfies to an erotic website of her body parts. The responses she gets from men surprise her, she doesn't always feel desirable and one guy in particular captures her interest with his replies, Jack. Jack is drawn to Abby's photos and her responses to commenters to her photos. Jack and Abby start to share stories which fuel both of their sexual fantasies and then Jack wants to meet which freaks out Abby which opens up her past and issues she has been suppressing. Jack becomes the perfect slayer of demons for Abby as he becomes the consummate teacher to Abby's true sexual awakening and WOW will this melt your panties (probably several pairs). Enjoy!
This book was pretty decent. Both characters had a troubled past that they overcame. We had a persistent Jack, even though he was kind of creepy at the beginning, and we never did find out how he got Abby's phone number. I liked the attraction between Abby and Jack. Jack seemed like a good guy; honest, kind of sweet. The sex was plentiful and kind of hot. Jack was a jerk towards the end, but I understood that. And with that, the ending was rushed. Jack was a jerk, then all of a sudden he wasn't. Epilogue. The end. I didn't feel like the problems were worked through.
I can't do it. The sentence structure, punctuation, grammar. It's not good. Add in constantly changing from past to present tense (sometimes in the same sentence!) and my eyes are twitching. Can't do it. Won't do it. There's better things to read.
Enjoyed this book. I felt the pain of the bruised Abby and then the broken Jake. I think the friend should get a book next. Not a cliffhanger ending that is just annoying. I'm going to get more by this author.
4 smut-tastic stars. Some of the lines were little bit cheesy but overall a good short read. Great sex scenes. Enough story/plot to keep me interested.
