I was lucky enough to recieve a copy of The World According to The Joker through Goodreads First Reads.

I have been waiting ages for this book to arrive, and am so glad it's finally here!

The World According to The Joker is a short, fun and brilliantly-illustrated book, which gives an insight into the twisted mind of Batman's greatest nemesis. Filled with The Joker's usual style of humour and guides on how to become a supervillian, this book would be the perfect gift for any fan.

My favourite thing about this book was the artwork. Gomez and Sotelo are truly talented artists, and I'd be interested in seeing other work by them. The fun additions to the book such as sticky-notes written by Joker's psychiatrist and other "souvenirs" are brilliant (I particularly like the Wheel of Death!), and the poster at the back was a welcome surprise that will hang happily on my wall.

I love the inclusion from Harley Quinn (especially her portrait of The Joker), and Joker's little hand-scrawled comics depicting his childhood...with the ambiguity we have come to know and love as one of his many quirks.

I'm not sure I could find any faults with it; Five stars!

I read this book as a goodreads first reads winner. Initially I was unsure of a tell-all book of the joker as I think mystery is one of the best features of his character, however, I really enjoyed this book! The book is very interactive which I liked (it has lots of little post its you can read and things you can pull out of the book and keep including a small poster of the joker). The writing was also done well, I could imagine the joker saying most of the things in the book. My favourite part of the book was the different back stories to how jack became the joker! sadly the glue on some of the pullouts ripped the pages but all in all a pretty good read.

I won this book on goodreads first read and I was waiting a while for it, but it was worth the wait. This short book is amazingly well written and is exactly how I would imagine The Joker would write. It was a really detailed analysis of The Joker. I loved the little game and the inserts, the were really fun and really added to the excitement of the read. The illustrations are really really good, Joel Gomez and Beth Sotelo should be proud of themselves. I would recommend this book to everyone I know!

A sick, twisted, demented tale about Gotham's most sick and twisted villain the Joker! Why he does what he does, and how he does it only to end with the punch line I got you and I am going to kill you that he always pulls at the end. A Must read for every Batman and DC fan!
