This book was fantastic! Tex Ford brought Samson's story to life in such a meaningful and amazing way. There is so much more to his story than just his hair. I didn't realize there were so many similarities between Jesus's life and Samson's life. Definitely much to ponder and wonder about. I will be rereading Samson's story in the Bible soon. Highly recommend!

Samson in Gaza provided a new glimpse into the life that Samson may have lived outside of the details documented in the Bible. Many times stories from long in the past can leave you wanting to know more of the personal aspects of those who lived them. Tex Ford has given a glimpse into the thoughts and emotions that may have influenced Samson, Delilah and others who crossed their paths during their infamous love affair. Their story was brought to life and made real by details and dialogue written in a way to relate them to the modern day reader. From laughter to tears and all the way to a warm, fuzzy feeling at the end, the author kept me interested and waiting to see what would happen next. I highly recommend picking up a copy and getting immersed for yourself in this beautiful story of the Bible's strongest man and the woman he loved.

I thought I knew the story of Samson and Delilah pretty well so I wasn't sure what to expect from this book but I was pleasantly surprised when it gave me a fresh perspective and made me want to go back and read the Biblical story again.

The author takes creative liberties but the facts of the story remain Biblical and I appreciate that.
Tex fills in the gaps creatively (in a plausible way) and I was easily able to visualize the story unfold in front of me.

It started out a little slow but picked up the pace in a reasonable amount of time and I didn't want to put it down, even though I already knew how the story ended.

Keep writing Tex!

Tex Ford brings the well-known Bible hero, Samson, to life.
He adds flesh and blood to a character that many of us have heard about since childhood. The love story between Samson and Delilah unfolds and captivates the reader all the way to the end of the book. Wonderful story told by a master writer.
Definitely a 5 star book!

I encourage you to read it for yourself!
