Dr. Stephen Wallace is a fertility specialist who helps couples achieve their dreams of having a child, but the one couple he’s never been able to help is his own brother and sister-in-law. Knowing it might be the one chance they have to finally have a baby of their own, Stephen takes a trip to Las Vegas, intent on finding a succubus to help him. Of course, once he finds her, he might decide he doesn’t want to let her go, but is she willing to surrender her succubus ways for a chance at a future Dr. Stephen Wallace is a fertility specialist who helps couples achieve their dreams of having a child, but the one couple he’s never been able to help is his own brother and sister-in-law. Knowing it might be the one chance they have to finally have a baby of their own, Stephen takes a trip to Las Vegas, intent on finding a succubus to help him. Of course, once he finds her, he might decide he doesn’t want to let her go, but is she willing to surrender her succubus ways for a chance at a future she never knew she wanted?

This is another short, fast-paced read by Jewel. Very hot in spots, which I loved. She doesn’t disappoint.

Given the history between the hero and the brother, she pulls at your heartstrings with the struggle each character has faced because of being unable to conceive. I thought the lengths at which the hero would go to give his brother a chance at what he wanted spoke a lot about his character and devotion.

Geneva, the heroine and unknowing focus of Stephen’s plan, didn’t even know what hit her. She was happy in her bubble, meeting men, hooking up, and taking care of her baser needs during the night. The last thing she expected was to wake up magically tied to a Shaman. She’s a stubborn woman, and you’ve got to appreciate her nerve and ball-breaking attitude. Eventually, though, even with the amount of fight she puts up, she can’t help but give into those baser needs of a succubus once again to Stephen. Their banter was cute, the dialogue was great, and the intimate scenes smoked.

While the story ended with a HFN, I felt like the reader missed a lot by it ending where it did. It almost felt like what we seen was just the tip of the story for these two. It certainly makes you want more.

My favorite line from Geneva: “All they needed was a little pep talk.” In regards to the unwilling sperm, so to speak. Loved it. I laughed so hard.

Pick up Surrender Sweet Succubus and give it a shot if you’re in the mood for something short and hot.

I found Surrender Sweet Succubus to be a refreshingly original paranormal romance that packed a lot of punch in the way of vivid imagery, a balance between the modern world and the fantastical world, as well as some smoking scenes between Stephen and Geneva.
