Before you judge me for reading Harry Styles fanfiction (eh, I'd probably judge me too), I defend my dignity by saying; this is not like a fanfiction AT ALL. It's much, much more. Unlike a lot of today's fanfiction, that has so much smut it's cringe worthy (I'm quite the prude, really... quite the prude), it has a story. A really great, creepy, heart pouding story. I even forgot I was reading HS fanfiction, sometimes believing I was reading about someone else entirely. And that is the reason I read this book, because believe me, I don't do fanfic's very well. So, if you're like me and don't handle books like After (sorry, you hessa lovers) and other unmentionable ones, this is the fic you've been looking for! Or if you're just a fan of creepy as hell stuff, American Horror Story (couldn't even get past episode 1) or horror in general, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU.

June 28, 2022Ok, so I didn't go into re-reading my favourite fanfiction from 2015 with very high expectations, and I think that was smart, because I was pleasantly surprised! Is this high literature? Absolutely not. Is it as sexy as 17-year-old me thought? Also no. But is it a high-stakes, fun, decently written 50's mental asylum escape story? YES. IT. IS.

Did it entertain me? Yeah, it did!
Too many plot holes, too many repetitions in each chapter (I know you guys are in a mental institution, I ain’t forget it), too much lost potential.
The intentions were there, the smut was absolutely unrealistic (like most fanfictions smut) and the writing had some peaks where it looked like it was being well written, but then it went back to being absolutely ???
The dialogues were…. No. If you make a book set in the 50s you either do research and make it realistic or you set it in modern times if you can’t stay consistent. 🤨
Still, it entertained me, and I won’t turn a complete critic on harry styles FANFICTION (since i write them myself 🫣) so ! 3 stars because it kept me company during the nights 😚

1. It's not a fanfiction at all, the author just wants you to picture the male character as Harry Styles.
2. This book is the reason why I didn't sleep. I would read it at night and suddenly my family wakes up and I'd be like: "it's 8 am already?"
3. IT IS THE REASON WHY I LOVE PSYCHOPATHS. AND MENTAL HOSPITALS. AND HORROR STORIES.
4. It's also an American Horror Story (tv show) fanfic and i luuuv it
5. Lots of love to the author who has the best writing style everrr. I had a chance to talk to her and she was suuuper very kind, she has a big audience, SHE'S FREAKING TALENTED
6. This book is part of me, I read it when I was 13. It influenced me in so many ways.
7. The book is not professionally edited, it's actually a first draft, so I'm reviewing it as a first draft not as a finished book. And dayum it's a fabulous first draft.

This story is seriously a psychotic story! Although it's Harry S. Fan fiction but it's not fun to read and it's absolutely not involved any the member of the band. This story scared to the shit off! Until now all the main role's past is mystery. Constantly perplexed our mind. Btw, it's an amazing horror story. Has it all! Sexy-romance, Mysteries, Creepy things, And mind blowing twist! Harry&Rose

Another victim of my not-completing-the-book-and-abandoning-it-in-the-middle syndrome.
This book started off so well.
I was enjoying it a lot.
It was one of the few fanfictions that portray Harry Styles character not so annoying and irritating.
This story had so much scope.
But it all went down to waste.
The story revolves around this girl who is a nurse in mental asylum for criminals.
She is fine with her job as it is helping her go through bills.
Soon this insanely handsome criminal arrive who has become infamous because of his morbid act of skinning three women.
Soon its found that Harry has not done these crime.
And there is a scary secret creeping in the halls of the asylum.
And maybe just maybe both of these things are related.
The story became sooooooooooooooo slow.
I mean chapters were going on and on without any solid growth in the story.
I was so dead tired that had to abandon it on 75%
And does Rose (the protagonist) doesn't have a family or anything?
And the story is suppose to be happening in the late 1950s and the language and demeanor was clearly that of 21st century.
And man you are stuck in an asylum how can you even stay sane?!!!

Holy crap this book was so good. It's so captivating that I had trouble putting it down. It is very horrifying and much like something you would see on American Horror Stories. I highly recommend it to anyone that loves books horror books/movies that have a love story attached. I rate it a 5 only because you can't go higher. The story line is amazing and you build a love hate realtionship with a lot of the characters and it's so much fun.

I DON’T CARE. This is my ALL TIME favorite fan fiction on Wattpad and reading it circa 2017 will be my favorite thing ever. I want a physical copy of this book. I LOVED and still love this book. It is my Roman Empire.
It’s a 4.5/5 just because it’s not the best writing but it’s very nostalgic and was my comfort book in high school and college.

So one night I had some friends over and we decided to look up and make fun of bad fan fics. I found this one and decided to click on it. The only problem was that it wasn't like normal fan fiction and I got really interested. It has nothing about the band and is more like a novel with a character named Harry Styles. It is an amazing story and I remain impressed.
UPDATE:
I hadn't read the last chapter (48) when I wrote this and only the last chapter is fanficy. I had to skip through it but it doesn't mess up the whole story.

I DO BOT USUALLY READ FANFICS but this was so interesting and well written. I was in the edge of my seat the whole time.
