I have a cold at the moment and I want someone to tell me to stay in bed until I’m better

Ant and Bee and the Doctor kept me company on a good many sick days over the years. The quaintly English illustrations were great friends to a young synesthete, and the bright colours and fuzzy lines still bring me right back to those moments. The charm of Ant and Bee is still pretty effective at stealing my heart, and I don't think I'll ever stop having a spot in that organ for Angela Banner's sharp and clever writing for children.

I still read this book when I'm at home with my parents and sick. It doesn't make me feel better, but it makes me feel better.
