Oh my gosh...this is amazing. Natural science illustrator, Dominique Navarro has created a viewpoint like no other on the religious values placed on animals. The central focus of this guide are the animals within Holy Lands, yet the historical attitudes towards all species is clearly demonstrated with wonderful verses, quotations and short stories along with stunning illustrations. The illustrations were lovely. I expected more information on the various animals other than they are found in various ancient texts. I also expected it to be oriented more towards children, which it wasn't at all. Other all, I found it to look nice, but not very informative.
