One of the best and No-Nonsense books, i have come across, for anyone who is looking to start/improve on drawing. I am surprised that this is not a popular book already, it was just good luck that i stumbled upon this.
Author has broken down elements of drawing to such a fundaments levels that you find yourself saying - "Damn! That's easy." Book has a very hands-on approach and a natural progression of drawing techniques. I could see the improvement in my drawing in a very short time (days, if you will), as this book changes the way you think and approach drawing shapes. The book is short - 50 pages - and not a one time read, you need to keep referring it again and again as you practice the drawing on a daily basis.
I am grateful to the author 'Shoo Rayner' for putting up such an excellent book together, and I wish he writes a much detailed and in-depth version of the book.
That pretty much sums up how the book felt to read. Mr. Rayner's voice and personality are captured in this short but very useful book. I have been a frustrated at every attempt I tried to draw. This book felt like a friend was at my side to help. I only wished that it were longer. A great book for the beginner. Check out his YouTube channel and you will better understand.
