Hilarious. One of those books that make me wish I owned a coffee table so I could place this book right in the middle (and not for the use of a makeshift coaster). It is easily picked up, flicked to a page at random and will provide several laughs per page. As such..

This book is a great short read. It is super funny, and you will defiantly love it if you like alien type books. Matt Haig did a great job in my opinion. It was defiantly nothing I would've expected. I thought it was a book of dogs telling there story about them and there humans (because of the dog on the front cover) but a good read anyways.

It is great to finally have someone explain humans to us and it is much better if this someone is Professor Andrew Martin. Only he, not being a human himself, can give us quasi-objective descriptions of certain characteristics unique to this species.

Rarely have I enjoyed reading a glossary. This ties in very nicely with THE HUMANS and, while independently amusing, will work much better of you've read that novel first. Some very sharp, funny entries, too. Nice, understated humour throughout.

This book was a list to explain certain words to an alien, to help him understand humans. Some of the definitions made me laugh and some raised a smile. Amusing quick read.
