Joan Digby is Professor of English at C.W. Post College of Long Island University, U.S.A., and has strong interests both in the arts and in science. She has written on such varied subjects as Goya and eighteenth-century natural history, and was working on an anthology of literature about science.
In collaboration with her husband she has written a collection of prose poems to illustrate his collages entitled A Sound of Feathers, as well as a number of magazine articles on contemporary collage.
