Annie and Snowball and the Pretties House by Cynthia Rylant and illustrated by Sucie Stevenson is a good easy to read book. The language is simple and Rylant uses a lot of repetition with the words she uses. I also loved the use of animals in the stories. The story kind of bothered me because I thought it was almost too unrealistic. It could give children the wrong idea about getting whatever they want. I read this one because the author Cynthia Rylant is our 2nd grade adopted author and I wanted to try one of this series, which is just an expansion on the Henry and Mudge books (who are both in this one). Annie is their next door neighbor and Snowball is her bunny. It's a girl's version of Henry and Mudge.
Annie dosent like plane things and she has a problum her dad has lots of plane things
in the house.
She told her cusen henry the problum.
henry told her she could go thru the adack.
I like the pink lamp with beds that was in the adtec.
snowball loks soft and fusy.
I like the ending when thay selubrate.

We've enjoyed the stories in this series; it's heartwarming to read stories about close extended families. Henry and his folks help Annie make her dream of having a pretty house come true. It's a fun story to read aloud.
