Stolen Dreams

Rate this book
Montgavin Township will never be the same when one night changes the lives of six people.

The course of their lives and the trajectory of the town sets them on a collision course for disaster.

Lilah

I was left for dead when I was eighteen.
Coming to Mustang Creek Ranch gave me something to live for.
My boss is grumpy and reclusive.
But I'm secretly in love with him, even though he's made it known he'll never settle down.
Even though he's made it clear, he'll never be mine-or anyone's.

Emmett

I've kept my distance from Lilah for years. No matter how much I want her, she's off-limits.
The only family I will ever have are the ones I fought beside in battle-the family I chose.
Until the phone rang and I found out I had an eight-year-old daughter.
Watching Lilah with my daughter makes me wonder what it would be like to do the thing I
swore I never would: have a family and fall in love.
When I move her into my house to keep her safe from the dangers of her past, all bets are off.

Stolen Dreams by Natasha Madison
4/5⭐
3/5🌶️

I’ve been eagerly waiting for Emmett’s story since the first book, and it lived up to my expectations! The pining and tension throughout the story are incredible. The chemistry between Lilah and Emmett is off the charts, and I also adored the bond that developed between Lilah and Lucy. Emmett has a dark past, which has made him avoid any relationships. He never imagined wanting a family until he got a surprise phone call that he’s now a single dad to an eight-year-old girl! Lilah has her own struggles from a traumatic event in her past, and working at Charlie's ranch helps her heal little by little. She’s secretly been in love with Emmett for years, aware that he avoids relationships, so she keeps her feelings to herself.

Emmett also had feelings for Lilah but tended to keep his distance and often acted rude to mask his growing attraction to her. However, as he notices how Lilah connects with Lucy, he starts to picture a family with her. When there's a threat to Lilah’s safety, Emmett’s protective instincts really shine through, and it was heartwarming to see. When they finally come together, their chemistry is simply undeniable.

I loved watching Emmett slowly lower his walls as he spent more time with Lilah. The growing relationship between Lucy and Lilah was a beautiful aspect of the story. I also loved how Emmett stepped up as Lucy’s dad—though he felt lost sometimes, he was patient and supportive, which was so touching to witness as Lucy opened up to him. Overall, this was another great book in the series, and I can’t wait to dive into the next book!

Stolen Dreams is a grumpy x sunshine, single dad, age gap, boss x employee, emotional scars, opposites attract romance! This series has been so good, I love the angsty vibes to each of the books. This one did feel a bit separate from the others in the series as far as the setting and overall plot, but still hits with those emotional scars!

After a tragedy 8 years prior where her boyfriend assaulted her and left her for dead, Lilah started working at Mustang Creek Ranch. She works with Emmett and the equine therapy and had a lot of healing to overcome. She’s also been crushing on her grumpy boss Emmett since she arrived but he always pushes her away because of her past and their work relationship. Emmett ends up finding out her has a daughter he didn’t know about when the story starts. He gets a call from a lawyer saying his 8-year old daughter Lucy is in foster care after her mother’s death and Emmett drops everything to go to her.

Lilah is one of the first people his daughter Lucy connects with and I loved seeing their sweet relationship. It really brings Emmett around as well and he becomes less grumpy. Emmett has a lot of emotional scars from his past that holds him back. While Emmett wasn’t always my fav, I liked the setting, seeing Lilah find happiness, and the single dad plot. There is even a bit of a romantic suspense in this one that ramps up towards the end!

I received an audio ALC, all thoughts in this review are my own.

Stolen Dreams is the fourth book in the Dream series, but it could be read as a standalone.

Natasha Madison wrote a new emotional, touching story that grabs you from the get go.
The author writing is something easy but evocative, it's always a pleasure to read, even if shading some tears is a must.

Lilah and Emmett meet at Charlie's ranch. She came to work there after an accident, while he became a valid right-hand after years in the foster care. They are so scarred and scared that they resist to their mutual attraction for a very long time, until life throws them another curve ball and they can't hide their affection and chemistry anymore.

These two characters got me mad. They are proud, stubborn, feisty, grump, but also kind, gentle, caring, funny, beautiful and hot. I wouldn't change anything of them because they are the perfect combination, two broken souls that find their missing pieces.

I really like this series and I'm already excited for the next book.

It was a nice read with just the right mix of emotion 💔, family moments 🫶, and small-town charm 🌾. The romance was gentle and healing, with characters you root for. While it didn’t blow me away, it had that comforting Natasha Madison vibe I always enjoy. A solid addition to the series 📖✨.

This one was definitely angsty and emotional. Emmett has a rough back story and I hate that he never confided in people to work through those feelings. Lilah also has a rough background. I feel like we never see her actually tell Emmett what really happened with Derek. I think Charlie knows what happened??

I loved how Emmett was with Lucy. He's so scared at first, but he is also so protective. If there is one thing Natasha Madison can write, it's the single father trope. It never fails that at some point, I will find a tear falling down my cheek.

I'm glad these two finally worked their stuff out and got their HEA. I think they bring out the best in one another.

• THOUGHTS:
I enjoyed this book, but out of the series it was not my favorite. I really had no connection to Emmet or Lilah. I liked the book and am so glad I read it. I didn't have a ton of connection to either of these characters. It very well could have been me and my mood. I didn't dislike it by anyways. but compared to the first 3. This one fell a little short.

These two are such a great duo! They do such an amazing job and they kept me engaged in the book. the level of emotions they bring to this story. the hurt you feel for these characters, they bring that feeling out. I just love them!

Can I give this book more than 5 stars?? It deserves a million stars!!!
Natasha writes magic with her stories and the characters in them. I was sucked into this world from the first book, and I can never wait patiently for the next one. This book got me from the start!

Emmett and Lilah work together and have this dislike for each other going on. But you know something lies beneath that dislike.
Emmett's life gets turned upside down, and he gets a surprise of a lifetime. I loved him from the start and just wanted him to get his HEA.
Lilah has so much strength and courage that makes her amazing. She has a big heart and cares and loves hard. I loved how she was there when Emmett needed her and the way she responded to everything in this story. She is a warrior!

This audio was an experience to listen to. Savannah Peachwood and Gregory Salinas could not have been more perfect for this role. Gregory was so wonderful, and you could hear the emotions in his voice. Savannah is a queen at bringing you all the feelings when she narrates.
I swear I was in this book with them with the way both narrators read this story.

I love this series, and I can't wait for what is to come next!

First…thank you to Natasha for this early ALC. Second…THIS FUCKING BOOK! I don’t know how she does it but these books just keeps getting better getting better and better!

With Lilah and Emmett it was love at first sight but neither of them know the other feels the same. They both have haunted pasts and trauma for days. When Emmett gets a shocking surprise in the form of an 8 year old daughter he never knew about his world is flipped upside down. He never wanted marriage and kids. He doesn’t know how to handle it. His daughter forms an instant bond with Lilah. Will their bond be enough to bring Emmett and Lilah together? I guess you just have to read it!

5 Star Review Stolen Dreams (Dream #4) by Natasha Madison

Audio:
It was great being back in
Montgavin Township for single dad Emmett and Lila’s‘s friend/enemies to lovers love story.

After Lilah was beaten and left for dead she struggled to rebuild her life.

This was an emotional roller coaster of a read. I loved the relationship that developed although there were numerous times I was frustrated with both Emmett and Lilah’s behaviour

From the first paragraph to the last, I was hooked on this story. I loved the relationship that developed between Emmett. his daughter and Lilah.

There were a number of twists and turns that caught me by surprise and I loved the familiar faces that popped up, particularly Charlie.

The narration by Gregory Salinas and Savannah Peachwood was spot on in my opinion with voices that are want to listen to. They brought all the drama, passion, humour and romance to life with their performances and did justice to the story that Natasha Madison wove.

After a tragedy eight years prior, Lilah begins working for Emmett Clarkson at Mustang Creek Ranch and was smitten with more than just the horses there but, it wasn’t reciprocated. Emmett wants to stay professional after what Lilah has been through but when he gets a surprise and his daughter comes to stay with him, seeing Lilah with her opens up feelings he tried to lock away. This place healed not only Lilah’s body but her soul but when her past comes back will she be able to stay? Maybe with Emmett’s help they can both find safety, trust and love too. A beautiful and touching, emotional romance. Oh my heart! Get ready to swoon over this single dad and a girl that deserves love. Have a few tissues ready too. So heartwarming. Each book can be read as a stand-alone but some previous characters do make appearances. Told in first person and dual POV.

This series just keeps getting better with each book! I love how it’s both sweet and heartwarming but also angsty and emotional, satisfies me no matter what mood and I’m and the audio version was a blast to listen to while I did chores. Savannah Peachwood and Gregory Salinas are both pros and they really shined here. Both Lilah and Emmett have dark and tragic pasts with deep emotional scars and I wanted them to find love and happiness together so badly. Emmett’s surprise daughter, Lucy was the cutest little dolly and her bond with Lilah was precious. There was a dash of suspense with the plot line here and I loved the added drama and danger it brought to an already high stakes story. Clearly I adored this and if you like small town angst try it!

I was thrilled to see that we got another story in this series. Our main character is Lilah. After surviving a brutal attack, years ago, she's been living and working at Mustang Creek Ranch. It helped her heal and also kept her love of horses alive.

Her boss is someone that she's had feelings for a while. Emmett has kept his distance, though. His past has kept him closed off from relationships, and he knows it would never work out with Lilah.

But a phone call changes everything. Suddenly, Emmett is a dad to a daughter he never knew. One that's heartbroken over the loss of her mom and is now living with a man she doesn't know.

Lilah really steps up for Emmett. She helps bridge the gap between daughter and father since Emmett has no idea what he's doing. I loved how Emmett gets out of his own way (but still does some bone headed things, lol).

There's also some mystery too. Lilah has some really bad luck, I tell ya. I enjoyed the two of them even though I wanted to put Emmett through his paces.

Can't wait for book 5!

No, seriously because I feel like Natasha hit the ceiling and then somehow she blows past it. When I tell you this book had me crying in the first 3% Y'ALL THE FIRST 3% I was in literal tears and it was in that moment I knew this entire book was going to wreck me & BOY DID IT... but like in the best possible way!

THE ABSOLUTE TENSION between these two was insane.. like INSANE in the best possible way. Emmett my grumpy broken man and Lilah everything sweet and nice.. ugh! they made the perfect duo

ALSO THE PLOT TWIT? ABCDEFG WTF!!!

& I feel as though this goes without saying but the audiobook? UNMATCHED. Natasha just knows how to do audiobooks so immaculately!

4.25 Stars! This was the perfect mix of heart, healing, and just the right touch of suspense to keep me hooked from start to finish. Lilah and Emmett’s story was so emotional — their individual traumas were absolutely gut-wrenching at times, but the way they found hope and strength through each other made my heart so full. 🥹💕

Lilah is such a strong, beautiful character, and Emmett, with all his grumpy, guarded ways, completely stole my heart (and totally lived rent-free in my head the whole time). Their slow burn connection was everything — full of tender moments, hidden longing, and that sweet, unspoken bond that builds until you’re just waiting for everything to fall into place.

The added suspense was such a great touch too! It kept the story moving at the perfect pace, balancing the deep emotional beats with just the right amount of edge-of-your-seat tension.

If you love a grumpy hero, a brave heroine, small-town feels, found family, and stories that hit you right in the heart while still leaving you smiling, this one is a must-read.

This is the most beautiful read! A slow burn, grumpy/sunshine romance between two emotionally damaged people who secretly love each other but who, for their own reasons, have never acted on it. Lilah and Emmett’s story stole my heart, and I loved this book!

This is book #4 in the Dreams series, set in the same small town as the earlier books. There is some character crossover, and there is mention of the couples from earlier books (Emmett is the best friend of Casey from book #1), but this one can absolutely be read as a standalone .

Lilah and Emmett work at therapy-based horse ranch, and while bright and bubbly Lilah has secretly adores her boss from a distance for years, he is broody and grumpy, and behaves like a jerk to her. What she doesn’t realise is that it’s because he’s determined to keep his distance from her, and he’s irritated by his wild attraction to her. It’s a situation that is full of chemistry and just begging to explode, and the trigger comes when Emmett learns that he has an eight year old daughter.

Emmett never new about his daughter, he never even planned to even have children, but he drops everything to be there for little Lucy. When he brings her home, she’s struggling with grief and trauma, and it’s Lilah that she latches on to, making her invaluable to Emmett. With the two of them spending time together to help support Lucy, the continuous close proximity changes their dynamic, and when Emmett learns that Lilah is in danger, he moves her into his house and the distance he’s tried to put between them becomes non-existent.

It's a great set-up, and I loved watching Emmett and Lilah’s story unfold. I was absolutely glued to my kindle as Emmett’s snarkiness turns into begrudging respect and friendship, and then into wild passion when the sexual tension becomes impossible to resist. It’s hot and steamy, and all kinds of intense, and though their feelings for each other were already strong, it was magic watching them fall so completely for each other.

They do have some pretty big demons to battle though. They’ve both been through hell and are dealing with some significant baggage. Emmett, in particular has never wanted a family or a relationship, and he has a lot of soul searching to do as he adjusts to the massive changes in his world. And Lilah is awesome as the girl who endured a nightmare only to emerge strong and confident, knowing what she wants. She’s a fabulous balance to Emmett, and I thought these two were so well matched together.

The love story is sexy and emotional, and it feels so real. I could understand what they were feeling, and I felt all of it right along with them, and I love losing myself in their romance. There is some drama as they work through their issues and find their way forward together, and a bit of a suspense just adds to the intensity. I loved this story so much, and finished this book feeling all loved-up with a smile on my face.

Such an enjoyable read – 4.5 stars.

This series keeps getting better. I need to move to Montgavin Township, as there are some special people whom I would love to meet living there. The premise of this series is how one night changed six lives. This is the fourth book, and I love each one better than the next.

Not a fluffy book, the main characters work for an equine therapy ranch owned by Charlie. Emmett and Charlie are now best friends. Lilah and Emmett meet there, both having a not so easy path to get there. Both have deep scars, but the attraction is there. Neither acts on it until Emmett gets some surprising news.

The characters are written very well; they have flaws. As the puzzle pieces of their lives find their photo in support and friendship. As danger come knocking, they are forced together and all resistance is gone.

Lots of emotions in this story, and I was hooked. Now, for the patience for the next book.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

This one just frustrated me. FMC has a crush on MMC and pines for him for years. He's aware of how she feels, but he is f-boy so he's not interested. MMC is rude to FMC several times (grumpy but not in the cute way). MMC finds out he has an 8 yo daughter and she comes to live with him. FMC watches the daughter, and they form a bond because she's sunshine. Only then does MMC ✨️miraculously✨️ see FMC as being worthy of his attention 😒.

Savannah Peachwood and Gregory Salinas are great narrators.

Natasha has done it once again, Stolen Dreams is a masterpiece. She knows just how to pull at your heart strings. From the very beginning you’ll be at the edge of your seat.

Lilah I just adore her, the way she acts with Emmett and isn’t afraid to give it right back at him. She has a traumatic past when she was a teenager and still learning to heal. You’ll see everything and feel every emotion she feels. The love she has for her horses, reading and evening falling in love with an adorable 8 year old girl (Lucy). There bond is very strong and you will see Lucy come out of her shell. And the way she feels for the grumpy Emmett it’s great to see how strong that emotion is.

Emmett is a grumpy man and always has away to make Lilah feel like she’s isn’t doing what she is suppose to do. As well, he has a traumatic childhood and you’ll see his struggles. But when he unexpectedly becomes a parent you see how much he tries to be a better parent than the one he was dealt with. Lilah helps him with Lucy a lot and you’ll see how their relationship will go. Lots of good and bad times. It’s great to see how much this relationship has blossomed from the beginning. Emmett protects what he loves and he will protect both girls especially when danger is lurking. It’ll definitely keep you on the edge of your seat all the twist and turn you won’t see coming.

This story had it all, lots of laugh, sorrow, friendship and love. Be ready to go on an emotional roller coaster ride. I was in tears a couple of times so be sure to have tissues ready.

Lilah and Emmett. Emmett gets a phone call that changes his life. He has an eight year old daughter that he doesn't know about. Emmett is thrown into being a father. His world is changed forever overnight. Emmett never saw himself as wanting to be a father. This book had me emotional and even tearing up a little. My heart broke for Lucy. Lilah has always loved Emmett but she doesn't think he feels the same way. Lilah and Emmett have both had tragic things in their past and have a lot of healing to do along the way.

I was not prepared for the twist at the end! WOW! This series has been incredible.

Another Natasha book in her Dream series full of so much spice, drama, suspense, and just crazy adventures.

I felt for the characters a lot in this one and it was made very easy to root for them.

The MMC was super strong alpha male and the FMC wasn't going to take anyone's shit.

I loved the found family aspect & appreciated all of the little moments between the FMC and the MMC's daughter.

• Small Town
• Age Gap

Another fantastic addition to the Dream series!

I loved the suspense of this one and hope for more romantic suspense from Natasha in the future because she knocked it out of the park with this one! Like the others in the series, Stolen Dreams was such an emotional rollercoaster that gripped me from the very beginning! I only wish we had more answers to Lilah’s past. It felt sort of forgotten and I wanted to know what/how it happened.
