Oliver Napoleon Hill was an American self-help author and conman. He is best known for his book Think and Grow Rich (1937), which is among the best-selling self-help books of all time. Hill's works insisted that fervid expectations are essential to improving one's life. Most of his books were promoted as expounding principles to achieve "success".
Hill is a controversial figure. Accused of fraud, modern historians also doubt many of his claims, such as that he met Andrew Carnegie and that he was an attorney.

I loved this kind of approach to wealth where the concept and idea of prosperity in one's life stretches far beyond the financial bits.

I was looking to find a book about success that doesn't focus on money alone for a long time. And it turns out, as it often does, that Napoleon Hill is once again your go-to author.

I think the best takeaways were these "12 riches of life" that clearly emphasize how wealthy we all actually are sometimes without realizing it. But also, how poor can some uber rich people be because they don't possess some of these deeper soulful qualities, making you once again appreciate all that is actually rich about your life - not just plain money.

The 12 riches as per The Psychology of Wealth:
1. A POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE
2. SOUND PHYSICAL HEALTH
3. HARMONY IN HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS
4. FREEDOM FROM FEAR
"The seven basic fears which appear most often in the minds of men are (1) the fear of POVERTY, (2) the fear of CRITICISM, (3) the fear of ILL HEALTH, (4) the fear of LOSS OF LOVE, (5) the fear of the LOSS OF LIBERTY, (6) the fear of OLD AGE, (7) the fear of DEATH.”
5. THE HOPE ACHIEVEMENT
6. THE CAPACITY FOR FAITH
7. WILLINGNESS TO SHARE ONE’S BLESSINGS
8. A LABOR OF LOVE
9. AN OPEN MIND ON ALL SUBJECTS
10. SELF-DISCIPLINE
11. THE CAPACITY TO UNDERSTAND PEOPLE
12. ECONOMIC SECURITY

This is a great coffee table book for a downtime when you need a quick and concise mental pick-me-up!

A timeless book that still holds relevance in today’s world, as most of Napoleon’s insights remain pertinent. However, I do find it repetitive and believe it could be significantly shortened.
