The only thing I don't like about this book is the title. I was a teacher/librarian for 28 years adn Literature never left the schools I was in. However, I do like this as a resource for teachers and librarians who want activities for using Children's Literature in their schools. With a copyright of 2007, I'd love to see a new edition.

Scholastic publication that features many of its own titles. Good resource for recent college grads, new teachers, new librarians -- if you have experience with children's literature, this is book is redundant, pass it by. Offers many of the same fine lists of books as Goodreads!

Great resource for teaching reading and writing in elementary and middle grades! I used this a lot to create lessons for the media center plus as a resource for new book purchases.
