One year after her fiancé's death, Quinn decides it's time to move on. During a night on the town she runs into three members of the local outlaw biker club, the Phantom Raiders. Can Quinn make the guys like her enough to want to keep her? Or will she become one more victim of the Three Little Piggies?
This came recommended by a friend of mine. Initially, I thought it would be a retelling and in a way I guess it was though it had pretty dark vibes. This is a quick read, one that puts quite a twist to the original fairytale.
The MC element was there, but at the same time, there was no club per se. The FMC has gone through something horrific and I suppose in that respect, she did have that in common with the guys. There was plenty of lust, but unfortunately I thought that there would be some sort of genuine emotional connection at some point, which unfortunately I did not see. Plenty of dark scenes here and quite a bit of torture, which I did get considering their backstory, but at the same time I did feel kind of disconnected with the characters.
It might be a me thing here as I am a mood reader, so I hope others enjoy this story.
Don't let the name fool you. I thought it was a retelling of the Three Little Piggies nursery rhyme. Definitely not!
The characters are amazing. I would love more background on them. That is all my insane need to have all the tea as if they are real people. That's the beauty of her characters. They would be people I would hang out with!
The plot seemed a little to up front for me. I love a good mystery of "who done it" but the premises of the book definitely points to a talented writer. I want more!
I give it a 🌶 🌶🌶 spice rating. On the tame side for me but definitely leaves a lovely after taste!
This is a midnight snack type of book for me. A quick read but worth the time!
This is my very first "why choose" or reverse harem book I've ever read. I love it! Especially as a pansexual I loved the bi rep. I think I liked Zane the best, he made me chuckle from time to time. I also think the author was trying to send a message with this book and I totally agree with the message as long as we are on the same page with what I think the message is. The spice was great, I loved the scene where Keith first goes into her apartment. It was also pretty realistic on how she met the guys. I was afraid I wouldn't like this book because of the three men thing but it makes sense. My husband made me read this and I'm glad he did. Another 5 star for this author.
I really enjoyed this book. It kept me on edge as I wondered what would happen and how it would end. It really could have gone either way. Thankfully, the ending was satisfying! The spice was fun. I’m glad there was a good amount of spice between the action and drama. This author writes in a really digestible way that made it easy for me to read and understand, which I appreciated. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good why choose, MC romance. The epilogue was perfect, too.
This is the only four star I have given this author and I will tell you why. I think the plot was too open. I wished there would have been a bit of mystery in there. However the spice be spicing! And Keith is my boo! (Yes I'm old leave me alone 🤣) This is a reverse harem dark motorcycle club romance and I honestly loved all three men. You had Keith who was kind of the alpha hole, Taven who seemed like the cinnamon roll type, and Zane who seems to be the one cracking jokes and scheming. There is also albanisim rep and sword crossing!! If you want hot tatted bikers, quick spice, and morally gray characters I do highly suggest this book..m however, if you are a huge supporter of the thin blue line... Put the book down. This is not the read for you. However if you are fed up with police brutality and would like some justice even though these are fictional characters you're gonna love it!
