“Kyle, seriously, what’s the deal with the werewolf? We don’t really have a lot of other Halloween decorations around. Wolfie will be a bit lonely out there.”

Kyle drops his chin on my shoulder. “Let’s just say I got a good deal on him. Plus, he’ll be real fun come Halloween.”

Taylor and Connor are suspicious when Kyle drops off a new large lawn ornament, promising a good time. It’s only when the trick-or-treaters turn in for the night that there’s a shift and things get “fun”.

Shift is a Halloween special in the Kyleverse, a series of sentient object romance short stories. Kyle isn’t the main character, but he shows up to help the plot in one way or another. This story contains characters from the main series. For the best experience, it is recommended to read Rake prior to reading Shift, as the main characters are the same. There are mentions of characters from Faulty as well. It is published between Fluff and Licked for those wanting to read in publishing order.

Another banger from Nicole. I think Archie is my favorite sentient bb yet. We're back with Taylor, Connor and Kyle for more fun and BOY is it FUN. I'm a huge sucker for Halloween specials and this one stoked my fire, if you catch my drift. Heat? Whatever. It's hot. Kyle is hot. Archie is the sweetest good boy and I love him. A Kyleverse, Halloween special with a giant werewolf?! Sign me up! And if you’ve ever spent too much time checking out the huge Halloween decorations at Costco and love Candy Corn, you should probably read it too! Captain-O, Kyle, is back to cause a bit of trouble and a whole lot of fun with his new friend Archie. A hot, wolfy sweetie provides an extra-steamy chase through the woods and Taylor & Connor couldn’t be more into it!! Shift is 100% full of super spice! You’ll probably be wondering if your Halloween decorations are going to come to life at the end of the month after finishing this.

Countdown to Halloween is on and I am currently shopping for a 7ft werewolf to put in my lawn in hopes it is secretly Archie. Once again, our superhero, Kyle swoops in with his superpowers to help spice up Halloween. He really is a man for the people. Archie is adorable and I truly cannot express the disappointment I will feel Halloween night if he doesn’t come visit me. *fingers crossed* Shift is the perfect combo of spicy and funny and I cannot recommend it enough.

This one didn’t hit the mark of what I expect from sentient object books. Nicole has proven that she’s able to write funny ones, like the furby book, but this one just lacked humor. It was very, very smutty and not very halloweenie. It just left me a bit wanting and disappointed. Maybe she was getting burnt out from the Kyleverse books, I don’t know. 2.5 stars

This Halloween special is going to blow your mind! It features everything from candy corn-flavored 💦 to a giant plastic wolf that transforms to fulfill all your desires, knotting included. We can’t forget about Kyle, who is the heart of all these books. Archie, besides being a wolf, is super polite, which I found absolutely adorable—he’s a total good boy.He has become my favorite wolf, especially because he has candy corn-flavored 💦, and candy corn is one of my favorite treats. These books always bring a fun and super spicy vibe, so if you love those two things, I recommend you settle in with the entire Kyleverse series to enjoy this Halloween or any time of year you like. You’ll also find characters from the first book, like Connor and Taylor, who return for a second round of fun with their favorite Kyle. Oh, and I can’t forget the epilogue, Nicole! You’ve left me wanting to know what happens next in the Kyleverse after reading it. This has undoubtedly become one of my favorite series.

I find Taylor and Connor to be extremely relatable in Shift. While playing with a werewolf could be fun (who isn't curious about that knot?), a little warning would be super. I'd have had a heart attack if I opened my curtains, and there was a 7-foot living werewolf peeking in, sweetheart or not!

Seeing Kyle have a more active role was really fun! Though that playfulness definitely earned him some punishment, naughty boy. He'd be in the doghouse (ha ha) for a while, that's for sure. I couldn't be too mad, though, not with how well he helps Connor handle his insecurities and wants without calling attention to it or making it a big deal.

Halloween is my holiday so I'm always down for a holiday special! This was another great entry in the Kyleverse, and now I'm all caught up with the series! Guess I'll have to go play with everyone's favourite sentient pink bunny while I wait for the next book 😏😂

Candy Corn flavored C*m...werewolf shifter...and humor?! Sign me up...well maybe not the candy corn but to each their own. I loved diving back into the Kyleverse for this one and especially bringing it back to the OG's of Connor and Taylor. This was so fun and OMG Kyle's costume "Captain O" made it all the better.

Archie is the sweetest good boy...until he lets out his feral side and we all need to expereince his feral side. IICYIFU vibes!!! Archie might be my new fav shifter even if he is candy corn flavored ;)

This was a fun little Halloween read! Super super spicey. I love that Kyle is just everyone’s hype beast. I really loved that. This also included main characters from other of Nicole Parker’s books and brought everyone together in a super fun way.. I love these books. They’re great palate cleansers they’re fun they’re breezy, they’re fast paced. Don’t read these books. If you take yourself too seriously though they are super super super fun and for people who hate fun. They should probably not read them.

Kyle and his spicy shenanigans! In this story Kyle helps his friends, Connor and Taylor (see Rake for more details), decorate for Halloween with a giant werewolf. Kyle being Kyle is never one to miss out on helping his friends in all ways and when the giant lawn decoration comes to life (knot and all) he is there to lend a helping hand (among other things) 😏 If you like sentient object romance, don't miss out on this great addition to the Kyleverse!

I have never felt so seen by just a  dedication alone. 😅
Kyle brings Taylor, Connor, and himself a halloween surprise with the help of Gerrett's magic. But, 'it's not an exact science' and Super-O comes running to the... rescue? Kinda? Not really. Archie is a good boy and my favorite sentient Kyleverse character yet. His 💦 is definitely my favorite we have seen. #teamcandycorn for life. Nicole absolutely crushed it with this one. 10/10. No notes.

I was late on the Kyleverse train but I am an absolute believer. In the latest installment Kyle brings his friends a seven foot tall plastic werewolf for their front yard promising fun to come. If you are at all familiar with the Kyleverse books then you know what kind of fun is coming and there is plenty of it. Some of it is even candy corn flavored. This is a quick and dirty read, and I loved every second.

Kyle is back with a Halloween special! Have you ever found yourself staring at a life size Halloween decoration. Some people may have thirsted over "Lewis" but this is for the girls that wanted a bit more bite to there Halloween treats!! We get to have some more time with Conner and Taylor and a Cosco style Werewolf decor named Archibald. He is sweet, cute, but also likes to play a little catch, knot and release. *wink* This one is spicy, fun, and a perfect addition to the Kyleverse!
