Boring, mundane. I can't even rant about it because it is so bland.

Hot damn! Ryan totally rocked that. This one wasn't at all what I was expecting but it totally captivated me. And dammit I SO want a Gabe!

Oh...my word....how have I waited this long to read Ryan?! My cowboy loving heart has been seriously neglected. At Wolf Ranch was incredible! Yall know I don't read blurbs so I was thinking sexy winter cowboy romance and instead I got, well, sexy winter cowboy romance but mystery and suspense

Coffee dates with At Wolf Ranch

First date: Murder, betrayal and trouble greet me in the first chapter and I am hooked. How the heck is Ella Wolf going to get out of this mess? I love when a book grabs you like this. Twists and turns lead us into the arms of Gabe Bowden whose life is about to be upended. Woot! Hold on to your hats ladies, as Gabe will make your knees turn to jelly.

Second date: Gabe and Ella are both intelligent, independent and some might say overachievers. I love strong

This was one great crazy ride!

Ella Wolf witnesses her Uncle shoot and kill her twin sister. Then talk about blaming it on her and killing her. She flees NY and runs to the last place her sister was. Montana. To Wolf Ranch. There she will work to figure out what her sister found that got her killed.

Gabe Bowden thought he scored the deal of a live time when he bought Wolf Ranch but a weird run in with Lela Wolf and now, her twin sister, Ella has destroyed his plans. His dreams. While she looks

This had two major issues for me. The first is that it was boring. Just something about the dialogue and pace of the story. The second was that the major theme of the book was the death of her sister. She cried and grieved the entire time. It was depressing and exhausting. Not at all what I want to read in a romance. A third, lesser, issue is how she took control of things without ever discussing them with the Hero. It was abrasive and uncaring. Her justification - "you got what you wanted ...more

My first read from Jennifer Ryan, and it was a HUGE hit for me! Right from the beginning I was immediately hooked with all that was happening with Ella Wolf. Ella’s twin is murdered, and now the killer is framing her. Ella must now find the truth hidden at her family’s ranch in Montana.

Gabe Bowden…thud! Wow! Dreamy, rugged, hardworking are only a few words that I can describe this handsome cowboy. Gabe has his heart set on owning Wolf Ranch. He has huge plans

I received this ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first Jennifer Ryan book and I gotta say, she's a really great story teller! From the very first page I was pulled into the story. (SPOILER but not really because it's in the synopsis) Chapter One (full excerpt below) opens with the murder of Ella's twin sister. When she witnesses her sisters murder, she realizes she isn't safe and flees to Montana where

REVIEW:
This was my first book by Jennifer Ryan. At Wolf Ranch is the first book in her new Montana Men series. This was a good story. The beginning of this book is heartbreaking. But as the story goes on I learned that what you see is not always what you get. Ella is not the party girl that the world thinks she is. She is one tough cookie who is willing to do anything to find the truth. A truth that might just get her killed.

Well, this was my first read by Jennifer Ryan and it won't be my last. This quite an enjoyable story with an adorable hero. He was so sweet and kind to the heroine. Very loving guy. Great story!

I picked this one up because I want to read the third in the series because it has one of my favorite tropes: secret baby child! Thanks to @heroesandheartbreakers for the rec! :)

Yummy Montana cowboy who rescues a damsel in distress, falls in love with her, helps her solve a mystery and then of course does a bone-head move...but all's well that end's well. Looking forward to reading the next book.

At Wolf Ranch by Jennifer Ryan is an amazing read from start to finish. Ella Wolf is on the run from her uncle, trying to find out what he has hidden that he was willing to kill over. Ella doesn't anticipate the support she'll receive from Gabe Bowden, a Montana rancher who recently purchased the family ranch from her uncle.

Ella is determined to finish what her twin sister Lela started. As the pieces begin to unravel, she finds out there's more hidden than she could ever have imagined. Even with

First 100 pages were captivating. I didn’t want to stop reading. But the middle and the end were average.

The middle felt too drawn out. If I had to come up with something to make it better, maybe more interesting chemistry among characters, not just the hero and heroine but others as well.

I was surprised at the end to learn that so many people did bad things. All that was glossed over with no details. It might have been better to show some interactions and happenings among some of them. The

This was my very first cowboy romance read and I quite enjoyed it. I loved the romance, and though Gabe got a little too cheesy at times I still liked it a lot. I loved the relationship between Ella and Gabe, they meshed really well together. Can't wait to continue on with the series.

Mystery....suspense....romance....AND COWBOYS. Yup, that's a pretty awesome combination.

I think this is one of the best Jennifer Ryan books I've read so far. There was just the right mix of suspense and romance. It was also nice that the characters didn't just fall into bed together. The author gave them time to get to know one another as she built her story around them. It was more about plot than sex, although there were some nicely written love scenes. When the book opens, Ella is responding to an eerie call from her twin sister, Lela. It appears Lela is arguing with their uncle ...more

Nothing like starting a story where within the first chapter contains a murder, because the bad guy was caught for other crimes like murder, fraud, and embezzlement. Yep, that will definitely be something catch your attention, at least mine. To top this all off, Ella is the one to watch this all take place. Now she has to figure out what the heck her uncle did that would force him to kill his niece, and survive from suffering the same fate as her sister. Good times,

Having read and loved Jennifer Ryan's "Dylan's Redemption" I was looking forward to reading more from her, even though these two books belong to a different series.
I have to admit that I'm torn about this book and the rating because some parts were great, while some others made me wonder if it was the same author who wrote Dylan's Redemption. I will start with the parts I liked.
The first part of the book is intriguing and the first pages hooked me. The building tension in the first chapter grips

There was so much packed into this book, and I loved every minute I spend reading this story.

Ella, and Lela are twin sisters. They have been raised by their uncle after their parents died. raised is a lose term. He had the cook, and other people actually take care of the girls. Ella, and Lela are about to inherit the company when they turn 25. Ella's phone rings and she can over hear her sister fighting with her uncle. She races back to the house just in time to see her sister murdered. Herr

This book was trope heaven for me. It’s got Country Boy vs City Girl, Unexpected Rescuer, Snowed In… It was like trope confetti.

Yes! Plus I’ve been on a cowboy kick lately and c’mon, did you see the size of that man’s Stetson on the cover?

Some suspense. A little bit of a snowed in romance. A cowboy who can cook. At Wolf Ranch has quite a few things that I liked. After witnessing her twin’s death at the hands of her power-hungry uncle, heiress Ella returns to her old family ranch in Montana to find a way to put her uncle behind bars. But hitching a ride in the snowy, Montana wilderness has its dangerous, and she’s soon rescued by the retired rodeo champ Gabe Bowen. This was my first Jennifer Ryan book... But it wont be my last. This story kept me turning the pages, from the first to the last.

After seeing her twin sister killed in cold blood by their uncle, Ella goes to the only plays she knows she will be safe and find the information to take down her sisters killer. Gabe Bowden thinks that life after the rodeo on the ranch he has purchased from the Wolf's, will be a place he can settle, but when he finds Ella hurt and near frozen on the road to her ranch

This book was a quick read romantic suspense, I really liked the flow of the writing.

Ella Wolf has lost all those she loves and now knows that her uncle is an evil man. Ella has to retrace her twin Lela's step to prove how evil her uncle really is ... after she watched him murder Lela and tell his crony to frame and kill Ella.
