Spiritual and motivational gurus have become integral to many people's lives. Most of them have done at least a few deeds that are helpful to the community. But is the self-portrait they are projecting to the public genuine? Are they claiming the empathy which they don't originally possess? These are the questions that will come to your mind while reading this book.
This book is written by Gail Tredwell, a person who was a disciple of Amritandamayi who lived in her Madam. She discusses the problems she had to face while she was in her ashram. I don't know whether the claims made by the author are genuine. But she is raising some serious allegations, which caused many controversies in Kerala when this book was first published.
