This book is part of A Little Season Three multi-author series. Each book in A Little Christmas is a standalone where every little is silly, unique, lovable, and downright adorable, so why not read them all?
Heya! I'm Joe Satoria, I write sweet and spicy MM romances.
I mostly write Daddies and D/s dynamics in my pairings... some soft and sweet, other dark and dangerous.
As a queer person using he/they pronouns, I am an own voices author, which means you're reading through the eyes of lived experience... only the gay relationships part, definitely not the dangerous Daddies... oops!
Tommy is stuck. Creatively burned out and desperate to meet a looming deadline for his popular comic series, his agent ships him off to the last place he’d expect—a secluded Montana ranch with no Wi-Fi, no distractions, and no way out until Christmas. Tommy hopes the solitude will reignite his spark, but he didn’t count on Hardin, the gruff and stoic cowboy running Lone Pine Ranch, to be as distracting as he is irresistible. Hardin never asked to play host to a city boy who can barely handle the snow, let alone ranch life. But there’s something about Tommy - his quick wit, his vulnerability, and the way he doesn’t mind the quiet - that draws Hardin in. As the two navigate snowy rescues, spilled hot cocoa, and a shared love for the ranch’s quirky animals, sparks begin to fly in ways neither expected. With Christmas approaching, Tommy must decide if the life and love he’s finding with Hardin is worth taking a leap of faith. And Hardin has to figure out if he’s finally ready to open his heart and take a chance on the one thing he’s been avoiding for years.
This was a sweet story as little Tommy struggled to cope with life on the ranch but got more used to it as time passed by with the help of Hardin. I liked that it brought out the Daddy in Hardin which softened him from the abrupt end terse cowboy he started as. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
I really liked this story. Tommy is a little who draws comic books for a living. Hitting a writer's block after burnout for his success. His agent suggests he take some time for himself. Tommy's agent sends him to a ranch in the middle of nowhere hoping the isolation and lack of internet will inspire some more writing. Hardin is a cowboy who runs the ranch and did not want his break over Christmas to be interrupted by his self imposed alone time. Hardin is at first resistant to Tommy's charms, but the weather, good friends, two dogs, horses, goats, chickens, and the holiday all conspire to get these two together. I really loved the location of the story, and the Christmas activities. Really good story.
This was a great story. Wonderful characters and an engaging storyline. However, having to correct the grammar and spelling errors every couple of pages pulled you out of the story continuously. I would question buying from this author again because of this.
Liked the characters, liked the plot. Did not like getting pulled out of the flow of the book by the over abundance of grammatical and typographical errors. A story always deserves a good proof reader or gang of beta readers. A creative endeavor should be treasured; the final product should be treated as such.
A sweet romantic read, it s little different from the others, slightly less littleness and a gruff rusty daddy. I enjoyed the storyline and thought the characters were cute. There were quite a few spelling mistakes, and incorrectly placed words which was a shame, for me it detracted a little from the story, but overall a sweet and steamy read
Sweet story. Tommy was adorable in his little side, with his blanket forts and love of teddy bears. Hardin couldn't help letting his Daddy side out around Tommy, even though the whole town thinks he's a grump. This was a cute Christmas book.
Great story, loved the plot and the characters were super lovable Main issues were grammar, spelling, and wrong words/missing words to complete sentences but overall a lovely Christmas story
The story and characters were good. The reason I gave it 3 stars is that the editing was horrible and really detracted from the flow of the book. Please fix that!
Such a shame about the editing! I had to stop reading at 60% due to this as it distracted me too much! A good storyline with great characters, so Joe you need to edit this properly!!!!
Tommy is a comic book artist with writer's block being sent to Montana to break through his writer's block. Hardin is the ranch manager looking forward to being alone for the holidays and winter. He grudgingly accepts that Tommy will be staying in one of the guest cabins. When he learns that Tommy has no experience living without modern conveniences (furnace, internet) he invites Tommy to the main house. It could not be that he is attracted to Tommy and his little side, could it? The more Tommy is around Hardin, the more relaxed he is showing his little side. Hardin has not been a Daddy for a long time. Can they work together as Daddy and little?
I enjoyed this story. The two are total opposites. I like that Tommy feels he can let Hardin see his little side as he feels more comfortable. Hardin tries hard to resist but he acts like a Daddy from day one with Tommy. He is always watching over Tommy and taking care of Tommy even while they both work in the barn with the animals. Hardin even wants to read Tommy's comic series and, like any bookworm, wants to know what happens next. The two men are a good match. They bring out the best in each other.
Proofreading could have been better as that pulled me out of the story too often. Tommy and Hardin deserve that. They and the story were that good.
