This is a fascinating collection of ghost stories, set mostly in Kansas, USA, which cover a variety of haunting types, and all written by women authors, but with an introduction by Troy Taylor who was the founder of the American Ghost Society. Some of them are pretty scary, e.g. "One Night at Whistling Woman Creek" by Linda Madl, and "Lost in the Fog", by Jerri Garretson. Some of them are mostly humorous, e.g. the story "What's a Ghost to Do?" by Sherri L, McGathy. Some are set in the present, although they may refer to past events and people who lived long ago. Others are set in the past entirely. Overall, this is quite an entertaining collection. Recommended for one's Halloween reading.
