I wish this book was published before I studied abroad as I definitely would have gotten the most out of my brief trips to Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. There are so many features I loved about this book but the one that stood out the most to me was its organization. Recommends it for: anyone with an interest in being in Japan
How to Work, Travel, and Study in Japan is a VERY informative read and I'm so glad to have won this in a Goodreads First Reads giveaway. I've never traveled outside of my country before but a trip to Japan is something I've wanted to do for over 10 years and this book has so many things I've never read about in travel guides. This is certainly one of the most informative books I've ever read in regards to traveling in a far-away land. The author went into very great detail as far as explaining everything and included some fantastic pictures, so the information was very easy to understand. I love all of the resources that are also included at the end. If anyone is ever in the market to travel for any length of time to Japan, I HIGHLY recommend taking this book with you. It's like a lifeline to the outside world if you ...more
