A book that's extremely acccessible thanks to the way its written in a down-to-earth style. It's essentially a guide for PhD and other postgraduate students on how to conduct and present research. The book is formed of a series of short, practically-focused chapters which go into the nitty gritty of how to successfully navigate all the different elements of the field. There are lots of helpful suggestions and inspirational quotes, although given that this is coming up to being two decades old, it's a given that some of it will now be out of date.

It's a fairly basic book. Probably good for those in the application process or about to start studies. Didn't really give me enough detail so will have to look at other similar books on this topic. Handy hint though: I got this as an e-reader through my uni library.
