Jessica Wood writes contemporary romance.

While she has lived in countless cities throughout the U.S., her heart belongs to San Francisco. To her, there’s something seductively romantic about the Golden Gate Bridge, the steep rolling hills of the city streets, the cable cars, and the Victorian-style architecture.

She loves a strong, masculine man with a witty personality. While she is headstrong and extremely independent, she can’t resist a man who takes control of the relationship, both outside and inside of the bedroom.

She loves to travel internationally, and tries to plan a yearly trip abroad. She also loves to cook and bake, and—to the benefit of her friends—she loves to share. She also enjoys ceramics and being creative with her hands. She has a weakness for good (maybe bad) TV shows; she’s up-to-date on over 25 current shows, and no, that wasn’t a joke.

And it goes without saying, she loves books—they’re like old and dear friends who have always been there to make her laugh and make her cry.

The one thing she wished she had more of is time.

You know how you read the first book in a series and absolutely love it? Then the book ends with a huge cliffhanger and you're DYING to find out what happened but the sequel isn't done yet? So you mark the release day on your calendar and start checking about a week beforehand JUST IN CASE it's released early? It's not released early, in fact it's not released on time at all and is delayed several times and you just can't stand it because you HAVE TO HAVE THAT BOOK RIGHT THIS SECOND!!?? Then you see it's FINALLY released so you buy it and start reading and.... uh, who are the people in this book? The names are the same but their personalities are completely different! Where did confident, sassy, take-no-crap Alexis go? Where did honest, straight-shooting Damian go? What's up with this story that has both parties constantly jumping to the most outrageous conclusions based on absolutely no evidence at all? What a sad, sad day this is....

This book was childish and not in a good way! Every time i read a sentence in my mind it is a childish voice. This book was pretty much sex page after page. I didn't feel the connection between the characters and they're feelings for one another. Honestly there was no "real" conversations that made these two people know more about one another. They either argued or had sex and it was just the last straw for me to put this book on my DNF!

I hate Alexis, she's suppose to be this girl who was nice and not needy and strong but she was the total opposite. She's needy and honestly her secret shouldnt have been that big of a problem if she just told Damien about it.

Damian is a douchebag. I wouldn't trust this guy for one second because of what he did to her on the first book. He's actions and how he thinks was just childish that i couldn't be bother to read so i just skimmed throughout the whole hibg.

Sooo disappointed! I had really hoped that the story would open up and be great, but it was so unrealistic and just fake. Wasted my money on this one.

Wow what can I say Jessica Wood found the perfect way to end the series! This series has a bit of everything betrayal, HOT sex, hurt, drama, it sucks the Alex felt she could not confide in Damian for fear he did not love her enough to stay with her and turned to Chris her ex but at the same time Damian knew she was hiding something and instead of sitting Alex down and talking to her he tried to get his fill of her so when she told him he would be ready to be a way from her, man when I found out what Alex was hiding my heart broke all the trouble this couple had been through to have this happen sucked, but at the same time if it had not happened I'm not sure either of them would ever truly know how deeply the other felt for them and I feel that even though the road they went down was hard and hurtful I'm not sure they would have ended up happy, sometimes love is not enough they need to see that no matter what they were there for the other and needed to let the other know what they needed from each other,it just sucked that it took them so long to get there. This is an emotional story with a lot of hot sex A MUST READ!!!!

Somewhere early in this book, it lost direction and purpose. The story faltered. The dialogue declined. I had to stop, it was just not readable to me any longer.

Have you had your recommended daily dose of Delectable Damian??? I have and my goodness Damian Castillo is just mouthwatering. This book was such a tasteful mix of emotions. While you love Damian and want to drool over him the whole book you can't because Jessica captures you in the intense relationship between Damian and Alexis. Things are changing fast with major curve balls happening in their romance. Damian and Alexis have to overcome the obstacle of true heartache which threatens to sabotage their relationship completely. Damian loves Alexis but is confused with all the changes he's made from his former playboy lifestyle. Can he be the one woman man Alexis definitely needs, or will he revert back to his fitting erotic second nature as The Man, The Heart Breaker, The Legend? I have loved this whole series but this one had some major surprises that really gtabbed me completely and held me till the very end!

This book.... yikes I read the first one and was not a fan but I wanted to see how they turned out. I am not even sure the same person wrote this book. The writing to me just seemed different from the first book. I really did not like the hero in this book and even though he was suppose to be a 27 year guy he acted like he was 17. seriously you are upset with your girlfriend cause you think she is cheating on you and so instead of talking to her you have some blonde pretend to give you a blow job behind the bar?????? say what now??? this book continued down this road with Juvenile BS that just skipped and read the ending. NO surprise the have a HEA? right... come back in 10 years time when the heroin walks into the bar he owns and he is banging some customer on the bar, but its ok cause its a part of his job. yeah was not a fan of this book.

OMG...WE FINALLY GET TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS BETWEEN DAMIAN AND ALEXIS IN THIS BOOK!!! I LOVED IT!!! SO MUCH SECRECY AND TRUST ISSUES! WE GET TO SEE HEART ACHE AND LIFE STRUGGLES THAT SOME AUTHORS WONT DEAL WITH!!! ALSO WE STILL GET THE SEXY DAMIAN THAT WE DID IN THE PREVIOUS BOOK "DAMIAN" AND NOVELLA "THE HEARTBREAKER" BUT WE ALSO GET TO SEE A SOFTER SIDE TO HIM. THEIR RELATIONSHIP GOES THRU ALOT OF CHANGES IN THIS STORY AND NOT SOME MOST COULD SURVIVE!! I LOVED READING IT AND CANT WAIT FOR MORE FROM THIS AUTHOR!

I was so hesitant on reading this but the cliffhanger had me looking and reading Taming Damian ASAP and a waaay better Damian this time round.

I actually did have a few moments where they were both giving me a migraine and I nearly gave but the actually the story really takes a turn and it tests Damian's and Alexis's future together. The twist to the story really surprised me and in the end I was actually okay not really disappointed cause I still felt that Damian pissed me off at times but yet I guess I wanted more drama from Alexis, still Damian was worth the read.

Damian is back and naughtier than ever! "The night is still young and I want to eff you a few more times before I'm letting you sleep." I mean I have never known Damian to be a needy boy but when it comes to his girl that's all he wants and needs, "God, baby. You have no idea how much I need you." I grabbed her waist and pushed her up against the hood of the car. "I need to eff you now, Alex, or I'm going to go crazy." Damian he...well he tries when he's put in a certain situation and can get over excited, "I took it and looked at it closely. "Okay, so maybe that would have been an abnormally large penis." Thoughts of Alex literally consume him 24/7, "I met Alexis's eyes and laughed. "Yes. I just came in my sleep, so it was anything but a nightmare." I'm really proud of Damian and I'm kinda glad the boy got his head out of his a** and grew the hell up.

I actually loved the first book. but this one, well, let's just say I don't really like it. I enjoyed it yeah, but not my favorite.

the story went waaay too fast since the very beginning. I was expecting more details later, but the details aren't as good as I expected. Damian's an asshole but Alex's a dang stupid. I rolled my eyes a lot.

I do love the twist but I wish there'll be more drama. could be better.

Not gonna lie, I was really nervous to re-read this. My notes are pretty damning. But I want to skip the next book on the BR list of Damians so I gotta finish this series. This book was completely unnecessary and fucking ridiculous…so it was impossible to finish. I gave up at 57% this time. Imma gonna lie to the S-i-Ls and tell them I read it ;)

"Emotional Journey of a Lifetime!!"
Overall 5*
Performance 5*
Story 5*
Which character – as performed by Lynn Barrington – was your favorite?
I loved the way she portrayed Damian and Alexis! I could feel everything they felt! It was a roller coaster ride for sure, but I would get right back on it! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and couldn't stop listening!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Completely enthralling! I was biting my nails the whole time, even from the opening sentence! I had no idea what was going to happen and I thought about skipping to the end for spoilers so I could relax but, I refrained myself, to get the full effect of the book and let Lynn take me on the emotional journey of a lifetime! I can honestly say I have never felt so wound up and invested in an audiobook or their characters! I wanted to cry, laugh, and occasionally throw something right along with Damian and Alexis!

Any additional comments?
There were so many twists and turns and ups and downs in this book, compared to the first ("Damian" also narrated by Lynn), I never could have imagined. I love how Jessica Wood and Lynn Barrington caught us by the heartstrings in the first book, just wanting Alexis and Damian to have their "Happily Ever After", but in this book they brought in so much more depth and it wasn't at all just about Alexis taming Damian, (no) PUN intended. The whole time I was thinking that everything was going to end up one way, while praying that it didn't, and then, BOOM, they threw me through another loop! Throughout almost the whole book, I wanted to yell at Alexis to just stop, where in the first book it was mainly directed towards Damian, but as the book progressed and some of the puzzle pieces started to fit together, I could sympathize and understand why she felt she had to handle things the way she did. I was also very impressed with how Damian handled his "issues" mostly on his own and ended up being one of my favorite "book boyfriends" of all time!! Thank you and Way to go Jessica and Lynn!!

My Musings

While the story pulled me in, making me unable to stop listening, I did have a few problems. There is a lot of redundancy, even in the dialogue. Some of the plot points do not fit with the first book. Nonetheless, the story is almost addictive.

Normally, I would not like Damian's character, but even though his character is disjointed I did. Now, he is full of angst much of the time, so is Alex. I usually hate stories with a lot of angst, but I must say, it did keep me involved to the point I listened without stopping until the end.

I had to look up a few things because I was not sure if they were realistic. Both issues are possible, so I learned something new. I like it when a book has me so involved, I just have to find out! I know I’m being vague, but I don’t want to include any spoilers.

After the cliff-hanger in the first story, I was not happy because I had to immediately buy Taming Damian! You will want to have this second book ready to read/listen to once you finish the first book. This one is definitely not a stand-alone, you will be totally lost if you have not read the first book.

Overall, I found the story riveting, even though it did have a few problems. If you like a book with plenty of angst and drama that will have you chewing on your nails as you wait for the story to unfold, then you will thoroughly enjoy Taming Damian. Happy reading!

I love this cover!!
My rating mostly has to do with how disappointed I was with the hero's and that the first half of the book was over a misunderstanding. I understand that authors have to add a misunderstanding between MCs to add drama/tension, etc. BUT not for the first 50% of the book!!

And here is what really upset and disappointed me about the hero.

Oh my!!!! As I waited for this book my little mind conjured up a Lot of what ifs and a lot of scenarios but it was so much better than what I had thought out. Damian is still the hot, sexy bad boy but a little tame. He still loves sex but this time only with Alexis.

Alexis was killing me holding onto her secrets, I was screaming at the kindle for her to just spill, already but the time frame she took in telling him made the anticipation all that much more better. I love me some angst.

Damian still no matter the love he felt for Alexis felt that he was being betrayed and categorizing Alexis's with his mother, the one reason he never fell in love but Alexis has a hold of him she has won his heart and he is having a hard time letting go.

Damian' s growth in this book was nothing short of amazing. He did hurt Alexis a lot but he redeems himself. I love the bad boy that gets tamed by one woman when no one ever thought it could or would happen.

The mind can conjure up so many scenarios when your heart is in the line.

I absolutely love this book. It was so well written even in just 18 chapters it is packed with smiles, heart aches, angst and the one splendid happy moment.

Awesome job!!!!

Was given this book by the author , in return for my honest review

She destroyed me. Can I still love her?

Damian Castillo is the man, the legend, the heartbreaker—the self-proclaimed man-whore that doesn’t believe in love or commitment. That is until he meets Alexis Blythe—the innocent, strong-willed small town girl who didn’t immediately give into Damian’s charm. With Alexis, Damian sees something more than just hot, no-strings-attached sex, and against his inner resistance, he gives into his feelings for her.

But just when their relationship begins to bloom, something unexpected threatens to break them apart. Will Damian leave Alexis and go back to his playboy ways and break yet another heart? Or will Damian’s love for Alexis be strong enough to convince him to stay and fight for a woman that’s like no other he’s ever met before?

I loved my Damian since the beginning. Even tho he was a man whore who became a reformed one. Lol
This book made me want to kick someone.. Laugh... Cry from sadness... Cry from happiness... And happy.... All these emotions but all worth it . Read enjoy but don't forget the first book Damian and the prequel ... :)

Damian!!!! It is time to set childish ways aside! He has been a playboy for so long he has no clue what it is to have a relationship. Alexis loves you!

He has seen the text message from Chris and he is furious. All he wants to do is punish Alex. This makes for some interesting scenes but he is simmering in his anguish.

You should know this is a growing experience for Damian. He has to finally take responsibility for his actions and begin thinking of the needs of others.

Alexis has quite a path ahead of her. Now that the test results are in, she knows her future is on the balance and the decisions she makes now will have repercussions for the rest of her life.

And let's not forget Chris who still loves her. He has not given up on Alexis. He is a good man who make a terrible mistake and lost.

All this makes for a very interesting story. In the end, even playboys have to grow up and face life. Damian does not disappoint!

Oh my gosh, it was so worth the wait. I really liked how you incorporated the onesies into the story. Damian really made me angry with the bar incident, and the blond chick. This review is really hard to write without giving away the secrets, but I can say this, his mother really messed him up. I'm so happy it ended the way it did except for that one part that she was afraid to tell him about. Jessica, just let me say this, I think you did a wonderful job with this book. I liked that you took more time because I feel that you made it more realistic, something we could relate to. I'm going to stop now before I spoil it for everyone. Keep up the great work, I look forward to your next book.I received an ARC for an honest review.

My rating: 2 1/2 stars.

What I liked: I’m glad they finally got their HEA. It was cute to see the H taking care of the baby while the h was getting treatments.

What I didn’t like: I hated the lack of communication these two had and how immature they could be at times.

How hot was it: 3 out 5

Triggers: H thinks that the h is messing around with her ex and is pregnant with his kid so he tells the h to come down to the bar were he pretends to get a blow job from a random chick. h is diagnosed with breast cancer.

Final thoughts: For once I found a book with too much drama. I found myself skimming and I think it’s because I felt like this book should have been combined with the first book.

OMG OMG OMG So I finished Damian at 2am I started this book at 2:01am, I couldn't sleep I had to know, Why was Chris texting her??? But of course Damian had to be a jerk, instead of going to Alexis and asking her, he kept getting angrier. Alexis has 2 secrets and it seemed her ex knew what they were. Let me just say I don't like Chris at all. Damian I wanted to slap and Alexis well she gets a pass at first I was yelling at her "tell him!" but once you find out you understand why. I always try not to put spoiler, so lets just say heartbreaking! In this book I laughed and cried. It a beautiful love story.

Honestly, I was waiting the book was much better, I was disappointed.
Despite, Damian attitudes were a little childish, in the end he remained strong to support Alexis. On the other hand, she had irrational and contradictory attitudes, such as castaway Damian accusing him of not supporting her in present and for the future. For me, he being present in this hard time just proves that he matured and he loves her.
I didn't think that this story had much logic.
