I chose to read The Ugly Little Duck because it had a certain message that I wanted to inform the class about, if they have not already been. I am big non believer on the issue of bullying and I thought this book would be a great way to introduce the topic. This wasn't so much of the "award-winning" kind of picture book my teacher would have intended on me using, but I wanted to try something different. I made sticky notes on the topics I wanted to discuss with the class, and I hope these are eye openers for any child. Overall, I loved the storyline and I hope the class loves it!
