When I saw this was a military billionaire romance, I thought, yes please!! Derek Pryce is an Army Ranger who is honorably discharged after sustaining an injury. While overcoming both physical injuries and mental disorders from his time in the military, he quickly and deeply falls for his PT.

Daisy is a great PT and loves her work with not only patients but specifically veterans. Despite fighting her desires and not wanting to risk her job, she quickly falls for the charms of one handsome billionaire.

I loved the idea behind this book. I just felt like there was so much of the book spent on his rehab, not a lot on their love story, that it just sort of happened with not a lot of build up. I greatly appreciate the time spent on PTSD and how important mental health can be, though.

This was a military billionaire romance. The characters and story were well developed. The story deals with some serious issues that are handled in a forthright manner which adds reality to the storyline.

Derek Pryce sustains a debilitating leg injury while deployed in Afghanistan as an Army Ranger. The rest of his unit succumb to their injuries leaving him with survivor's guilt and PTSD. After multiple surgeries he is discharged and sent back home where he has to get physical therapy. He also starts drinking excessively to drown out the nightmares and pain.

Dr. Daisy Roberts is his physical therapist. She also strongly suggests he get in a veteran support group to help with his mental health. They are very attracted to each other but while he is her patient it was unethical to date. After he is discharged he asks her to dinner as a thank you. They are hounded by the paparazzi and she gets a warning from her employer. He is determined to see her and invites her to the Pryce Foundation Gala. They end up spending the night together. She gets mobbed by the paparazzi and he rescues her blowing their clandestine relationship. She ends up being fired and finds out she is pregnant in the same week. They get married and have their HEA.

Coveted By The Captain is a military, friends to lovers, billionaire romance. The first half of the book follows Derek as he is honorably discharged from the army due to an injury. He comes home stateside and struggles with PTSD from his time in the military as well as the overall struggle to settle back in to civilian life. I think Stacy did a great job showing what a struggle it can be to a soldier not only coming home from a traumatic event but also the struggle of coming back to a life where every minute isn’t planned out for you. Through Derek’s therapy he meets Daisy and there is an instant attraction. Because of their professional relationship they aren’t allowed to pursue anything, but the minute his PT is over Derek takes the opportunity to pursue Daisy. The rest of the book is SUPER STEAMY. The chemistry between these two is undeniable. From the point they enter a relationship things move along fairly quickly. This definitely ends on an HEA.
This was a quick, easy, and STEAMY read.

The Captain's Goals . . .

Derek Pryce comes home from overseas after having injured his leg. He chooses the best therapist he can find and when he goes to see physical therapist Dr. Daisy Roberts, he is immediately captivated by her. He knows she should be off limits to him since she is a professional working on his leg. Yet the attraction he feels for her is too strong to ignore.

Daisy Roberts is dedicated and driven to help heal Derek. In addition to the physical injury, he also has PTSD and survivor’s guilt from his experience overseas, and she recommends a support group specifically for veterans. Will he follow her instructions? Will he allow the healing not only of his physical injury but also acknowledge how it has affected him in other ways?

There is much more involved in this story when he won’t give up on dating her and things kind of blow up on them. So grab your copy and find out if he ever gets that dinner date! He is definitely a man who knows what he wants and is willing to pursue it!

I really loved this story! I admit, I have not read military-themed romance in the past but Captain Derek Pryce may have changed that for good. My favorite part of this story was Derek’s realistic struggle to return to civilian life after serving his country and being honorably discharged. He meets Dr. Daisy Roberts, who not only helps heal his physical injuries but his wounded heart. I loved the support of his family and the sweet, steamy connection between Derek and Daisy. Although I wish we got to see a bit more more of Daisy’s professional side before it falls away from the storyline (Derek doesn’t even introduce her as a doctor to his family), this is a satisfying page turner that delivers the happily ever after ending that a hero deserves.

What a great military, friends to lovers, billionaire romance story. I am a sucker for military stories and Stacy did not disappoint.

This one was a slow burn at the start but it made for amazing suspense and angst and built into fiery passion. I loved the plot of the story and felt that it was relatable and expectable for both lead characters. I loved watching them come into their own and growing as a couple. Getting to their HEA was a major challenge but they each dealt with their traumas and dilemmas to get to that HEA that both so willingly deserve.

The side characters were amazing and the romance scenes WERE HOT. I was blushing multiple times reading Derek and Daisy's story.

Great job Stacy, I can't wait to check out the rest of the series.

I couldn’t put this book down! It was SO GOOD! I was captivated by this story on the first page. I love all things military, and while this isn’t a military story, it has bits and pieces of it.

Stacy Kristen really nailed it when it came to the emotions of Derek and Daisy. I felt like I had a front row seat to their lives! For Derek it was love at first sight, and probably for Daisy too. Derek was injured overseas and Daisy was his PT. Every time she shot him down he worked that much harder to pursue her. Will he be able to wear her down and get a date with her?

Coveted by the Captain, by Stacy Kristen is a super steamy quick and satisfying read that actually left me wanting more of this duo. Stacy can easily expand her stories if she chose to. That being said, this novella in no way leaves you feeling as if you missed anything. The story of Derek and Daisy showcases how even the most horrible of circumstances can have a silver lining. Thus leading you down a path you may never have otherwise taken. I highly recommend for those that enjoy the quicker romance reads and of course everyone else.

I have to start out by saying I did enjoy the book, but it was a very fast paced romance. Perfect for a weekend read to be completely honest. Other than the pacing- the plot and the characters we amazing. Daisy, Derek, Ethan, Gabi, etc. we're all very much loveable and sweet. My absolute FAVORITE part were all those beautiful memories they have on the rooftop of Pryce Enterprises, and of course... the steamy s*x scenes. ❤️ Definitely going to place this one on my re-read list!

Coveted by the Captain explains PTSD and the struggle solders go through when they come home, especially if they've been injured, quite well. The book is short but detailed and well written and the spice level is through the roof.

The only thing that bothers me is that Derek wants her to get pregnant but doesn't say anything to her. Doesn't even talk to her about it. That wouldn't make me very happy.

Coveted by the Captain was an extremely well written story by Stacy Kristen. I was hooked from the very first page. Derek and Daisy were simply awesome together and their chemistry was off the charts explosive. Derek comes home from overseas injured and when he goes to see physical therapist Daisy Roberts, he immediately smitten. She should be off limits but their connection is just too strong. Definitely recommend! 5 stars!

💜 Derek

I want to be mad at Derek for his behavior towards Gabi but I can’t.
Everything that he’s going through has been thrown at him at once, and his dealing with it the best he can!

Ethan reminds him that he’s not alone, and that his family is there if he wishes to reach out!

I really enjoyed Daisy’s character.
And I loved that she didn’t put up with Derek’s attitude!

I was hooked from the start, wanting to see the character of Derek’s transition from military to civilian life and how he healed both physically and mentally. This was a multi POV book and the character of Derek was really well done! I enjoyed how the characters interacted and the tension and development of the relationship. I would love if this story continued and we could stay in this world with the characters. The steamy scenes were hot hot hot!
Page turner you will absolutely love.

This was quite a sweet romance but sad in some ways. Derek is discharged from the military and starts to see Daisy for physical therapy to heal. They are both attracted to each other but her job prevents fraternization with patients so she keeps him at arms length. Derek will need to overcome his objections and make her his. I thought Derek and Daisy had great chemistry together, and that Derek is an absolute sweetheart when he was courting Daisy. I thought this story was enjoyable an entertaining.

This is a new author for me and I have enjoyed reading her work. I liked Derek and Daisy very much, I felt a connection to them and believed in their connection and chemistry. I saw a few things coming but that didn't stop me from enjoying the journey. The story had both dark and light to it, good family, plenty of passion, support, understanding, trust, honesty, truth, romance and love. A good read.
