Ihan mukavia lyhennelmiä tunnetuista kauhutarinoista. Hyviä siihen jos ei jaksa kahlata klassikoita täyspitkinä. Mukava tutustuminen. Mutta kun ne oli niin tylsästi kirjoitettu! Hieman olisi voinut nähdä vaivaa. Nämä luettua, ei kyllä tullut yhtään kutkuttavaa tunnetta että pitäisi lukea alkuperäisetkin kokonaan. Ennemminkin tuli tunne, että jos nämä ovat näin tylsiä niin miten tylsät vanhat klassikotkin sitten olisivat.
Muuten olisi ollut loistava vinkkauskirja 5-6 -luokkalaisille mutta en kyllä voi suositella vaikka aihe varmasti heitä kiinnostaisikin. Toivon että he joskus vielä lukisivat oikeat klassikot, tai edes paremmat lyhennelmät.
Mutta tosiaan, ihan hyvä teos jos haluaa nopeasti tietää mitä kauhuklassikot pitävät sisällään.

Tales of Terror are a collection of short stories (or condensed stories) of classical works of fiction like Dracula and Frankenstein’s Monster, but also contain accounts of real life horror stories. It also includes snippets at the end of each story detailing the origin of the story, which is a nice touch and the drawings aid in fueling the imagination and not that gruesome for the kids.

The stories told within will be sure to send chill down one’s spine perfect for those campfire ghost story sessions.

I may have to look for the unabridged stories of some of the entries in this book. I hope you'll appreciate them too.
