About the author

I grew up in a really small town in Missouri. Very similar to the fictional towns I write about. I moved to the big city right after I graduated. I work full-time and I am mom to a beautiful little girl.

I started writing in October 2012 when a group I am a member of had a prologue contest. I didn't win the contest, but everyone who read my prologue asked for more of my story. I decided I had to finish it and get these characters that were in my head out on paper. During the writing process it became clear that these characters had a lot to say. So I realized my story was really a series:

Review:
Maya ends up in juvenile detention after stealing a car. But the institution becomes a blessing in disguise, because of a particular prison guard called Max. Their attraction is instant, Maya is used to getting her way when she uses sex as ammunition and Max is no match for her wiles. The begin a torrid and forbidden affair.

Thoughts
This an extremely short novella, but I did like it. The sex scenes were a bit to0 short, but they were titillating. Maya did come off as a bit skanky at times, I also found her pushy. Max was an okay hero, but he was a bit of a pushover, one minute he was, No this is wrong, the next minute he would be all over Maya.

Review:
Marcus is still hung up on the mother of his son and he's ex, that is until he sees Tabby while out one night. Their attracted to each other, and they spend one night of passion together. They don't see each other again, until Marcus realises she's his son's kindergarten teacher, but that doesn't deter him

Thoughts
I love alpha males, and Marcus fit the bill! He was demanding, sexy and he had a bit of a potty mouth. This didn't feel like a forbidden romance to me to be quiet honest. It was short, sweet and quite enjoyable.

Review:
Jackson is 19 year old Nora's father's divorce lawyer, she feels an undeniable attraction towards him and so does he. He's almost twice her age, that paired with the fact that he's her father's lawyer does not bode well for their relationship.

They spend a few secret nights together, and begin to realise their attraction runs deeper than the physical.

Thoughts:
Hmmm, this novella was hot. But for some reason I didn't feel much of a connection with the characters. Nora is quite mature for her age, but it didn't read like that. Their connection was all physical at first, I just feel like them having a deeper connection didn't ring true.

Nevertheless it was hot and spicy.

I read Educate Me by Lexi Buchanan. I swear I'm going to start rating Ms. Buchanan's books by how many cold showers I need instead of stars. Educate Me was a quick, light read. Sweet and so, so, so hot. It was the perfect Valentine's treat.

Forbidden Fruit: Volume 1 truly lives up to its title and it is a fantastic collection of 10 super-sexy and super-steamy stories in one book! It definitely left me hot and bothered and requiring a cold shower after reading.

Though ALL the novellas were great, “Strictly Off Limits,” by Jessica Hawkins truly resonated with me the most and I found myself reading this story over and over to savor each and every word, every moment and every scene of Dean Brittany and Alexandra James’ forbidden affair. I truly didn’t want it to end and I was left yearning for more.

“Alexandra James spends her spring break working for her father's best friend and finds herself in an unusual - but sexy - predicament. Dean Brittany is attracted to his new temp, but 18-year-old Alexandra is strictly off limits.”

Honestly, I never thought that I’d be so enamored and engrossed with a story that involved a much older man and an 18 year old girl (someone young enough to be his daughter), but Jessica’s writing was so exquisite, it made everything wrong about that situation feel so right! Dean and Alexandra’s story was the epitome of “Forbidden Fruit,” but just like Adam and Eve, they couldn’t resist and they had to take a bite out of that apple! But damn it was so good and worth it!

Through Dean, Alexandra was able to feel, learn and experience things she’s never felt or done before and yearn for things she never thought she wanted. I LOVED how their story evolved from Alexandra not willing to entertain the idea of an older man in a sexual manner, to immeasurably desiring and longing for his presence and every touch.

“He kissed me in a way I’d never been kissed before. I was scared for it to end, and when it did, I almost pulled him back.” - Alexandra

Dean on the other hand was the embodiment of an Alpha – so demanding and in control, and although he knew that his actions were wrong, I truly believed that Alex brought out the best in him and made him feel young and alive. I can go on for days about the super-HOT and STEAMY things he said to her that made my heart palpitate to no end, but the hottest line EVER was…
“If you were mine. I’d drop on my knees right now and eat your p*&$y like it was my last meal.”
WHEW…you’ll definitely need a cold shower w/ these two.

Jessica’s story was Phenomenal!! As with her Cityscape Series, she has a way of bringing the characters to life and allowing you to feel their every emotion. Through her extraordinary writing, she makes you change your mind about subject matters you would never in your wildest dreams agree with, but she never fails to succeed. After reading “Strictly Off Limits,” I find myself very accepting of a “forbidden” relationship similar to Dean and Alexandra and I suddenly think it’s very damn hot and sexy! YAY to older men!! LOL = )

Bravo to all the Authors for an outstanding anthology!! I can’t wait to read more when “Forbidden Fruit: Volume two” is released.

Kisah cinta dua saudara tiri karena pernikahan. Sylvia dan Finn menjalin hubungan cinta secara sembunyi. Tapi Finn tak mau terus terusan seperti itu. Finn berusaha menghilangkan ketakutan mereka terutama Sylvia. Finn berusaha menciptakan hubungan cinta yg bersih dan serius.

Lumayan suka cerita satu ini karena endingnya.

IN TOO DEEP
Kisah terakhir sangat berbeda dari 9 cerita sebelumnya karena sepertinya bersambung? Buat aku penasaran tingkat tinggi. Bagaimana nasib hubungan 2 orang yg memiliki kelainan sex pada diri masing masing? Menurutku mereka itu pasangan yg serasi dan dapat saling melengkapi dalam masalah gangguan sex mereka. Tapi kenapa diakhir kisah Rick malah menjadi tertuduh sebagai pemerkosa? Padahal jelas jelas Stephanlah yg menyakiti dan memperkosa setelah mengetahui kondisi yg selalu ditutupi oleh Molly.

This is my first read by Ms. Hawkins. An 18 y/o with her dad's 48 y/o friend. Shades of dom/sub, slight romantic ending. 3 stars

Lock and key by RS Grey
This is my first read by Ms. Grey. A LA Times journalist in Kosovo with a CIA undercover operative. I didn't care for the violence but I understand the need for it since it heightens the emotions. 4 stars

The naughty au pair by Janice Baker
This is my first read by Ms. Baker. Oh poor Angelina, letting her cunt make her decisions. I know I'm suppose to sympathize with her since both older men said they would leave their wives but damn it girl be smarter than that. A French au pair and the child's dad, the same au pair and the child's older step brother. Angelina and Connor forever! 3 stars

In too deep by Morgan Jane Mitchell
A 25 y/o with her 30 y/o boss attending a sex addiction group therapy. She starts dating an old friend and the boss starts dating the old friend's mom. So if the boss marries the old friend's mom, the boss would potentially be her step father in law. Cliffhanger! 4 stars

While I can't say that all of the books are 5 star ratings, I can say overall you get a 5 star experience here. Honestly, the 2nd 1/2 of the books are better than the first!

This book is full of unconventional relationships, danger sex as the title suggests forbidden fruit.
My highlights:

Jessica Hawkins - Strictly Off Limits - WOW! I would've bought this anthology for this book alone. I got sucked into the story of the sexy and much older Dean Brittany and Alexandra James. I was surprised at how much I could love a story with this age difference, but it was HOT!! I loved Jessica Hawkins' Cityscape Series (Seriously, Read it if you haven't!), but this book just confirmed how phenomenal her ability to suck you into a story really is.

RS Grey - Lock & Key - You'll love this story and hate yourself for it. LOL. Loran or Adam will suck you in and you'll try to hate him, but fail. I won't give too much away here, but I'll be looking for more books from this author.

Morgan Jane Mitchell - In Too Deep - This is the only story with a to be continued ending and I'm trying not to be angry about it. I got sucked into this story and saw light at the end only to have the rug snatched out from under me. I can't wait to read the next story about Rick the dick, a sex addict with intimacy issues, and Loraine, a sexual encounters addict. This is one of those wild stories I'll need to tell people about, because it sticks with you.

Beyond this, there are also stories about teachers and parents, teachers and students, prisoners and guards, step-siblings, friends' moms (MILFs I guess), Au Pairs and the family and a daughter and her dad's divorce lawyer. Yep, you got that. What a crazy bunch, but all worth a read!

Can't wait to see what Forbidden Fruit volume 2 has in store for us!!

Thoughts: I am always a bit leery of anthologies....I usually buy them for one or two, then don't like any of the rest of them. Yet I hang onto the book because of the ones I do like. I was tempted to buy this anthology for one author only - Jessica Hawkins. Followers of the blog know how I raved over her Cityscape series....and the chance to read something totally new and fresh by her? Oh, I was tempted!...LOL Then I received a request from author Morgan Jane Mitchell to review her story in this anthology - and an additional one by her (also in the Table 21 series). As usual, it was a bit of a toss up though...it was an odd mish-mash of stories swinging anywhere from an older woman and a younger guy (which I won't ruin the ending for, but I will say doesn't turn up at all like you expect), sex addicts, and - of course - your typical older man/younger woman scenario - and everything in between. The downside? Again, there is only a smattering of stories I like in this anthology. The upside? There is a little something for everyone...:) Well, and it's only .99!

I was gifted a copy of Forbidden Fruit and was pleasantly surprised, I didn't know what to expect when I started reading these novellas and I hadn't heard of any of the authors before.

Honestly not all 10 books are 5 star reads but they are all worth a read.
The sneaky, forbidden, hot sex that was going on in these stories is what made them so captivating. There's students and teachers, prisoners and guards, step brothers and sisters, bosses, lawyers, step milfs and let's not forget The Naughty Au Pair.

If I had to pick my favorites they would be:
Strictly Off Limits - There was something about Alexandra & Dean that I loved. I felt like I got to know them and their story and wished this book was longer.
In Too Deep - Now Loraine has a sex addiction like no other. Add Rick who has different kind of sex addiction and then add Stephen and it's just gonna get all kinds of messy. This story is to be continued and I can't wait.
Lock and Key - There's kidnapping, beatings, shootings and sex. What more do you want in a book?
Try Me - Marcus and Tabby meet on New Years Eve. After a night of hot sex they don't see each other again until 3 weeks later.

I recommend you checks these out. There's nothing like a bit of forbidden romance.
Will definitely buy volume 2 when it comes out.

In Too Deep by Morgan Jane Mitchell

I am not addicted to sex but to getting off. I seek out men on a nightly basis who are willing to do anything to please me. And they get nothing in return.

This was my first time reading something from this author and she didn’t disappoint. Loraine is a sex addict but she doesn’t ever actually have sex. She hunts for men and after they go down on her she leaves them high and dry because she feels she can’t have sex. She freaks out at just the thought. Richard feels that he is the one that can fix her problems and use her to fix his as well. With them opening up to each other while trying to hold their own relationships with different people, it becomes hard to keep themselves in check.

I couldn’t put this one down. It is a short novella and a quick read but, WOW, it is hot and sexy! There are constant surprises to keep you on your toes and not get dragged through the same routine over and over. There is some sexual violence in this book, so beware if tender hearted. It ends in a cliffhanger and HOLY HELL I can’t wait to read the next one in the series, Never Too Late. I am pretty sure my jaw hit the floor and I gasped out loud at some of the things that happened but I loved it.

I loved this short story by Jessica Hawkins! I definitely want more of Mr. Brittany and Alex. This was one hot and steamy novella, BOBs required! The story flowed really well, there was one grammar mistake that I noticed, and it took me about an hour to read it!
This story is part of an anthology, but I just read this one. I have no doubt it’s filled with more wonderful, exciting stories, as it has many bestselling authors contributing.

Wow. This novella was so good. Loraine didn't expect to see her boss in her sex addict meeting but unfortunately she did. I say unfortunately but honestly I don't see anything unfortunate about it! Rick sets out to fix Loraine. Who isn't a sex addict per say. Her addiction is slightly different than her fellow sex addicts but it is still an addiction that is overruling her life. Rick has a standard sex addiction not sure if you can call it that but I'm going to. These two wow...they make an agreement to help each other with their *clears throat* problem and find themselves with a whole other issue. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone. I have to say even though Rick is a douchebag he is still pretty freaking amazing.

This is for the novella in this anthology: In Too Deep

This is the first book that I have read my Morgan, and it isn't going to be the last! This is a very sexy book. You have Loraine who needs to have sex everyday, you also have Richard who also needs to have sex every day. Richard has vowed to fix Loraine's problem. What Loraine doesn't count on are the feelings that she has towards Richard.

I couldn't put this book down. I read it with in a couple hours so it is a quick read, but this book leaves you wanting more! It is HOT!!! Morgan gets your blood pumping in this book. She also puts in some turns that you don't see happening at all. You think shes going right but then all of a sudden, she turns around going the complete opposite direction, I love it! Keep a girl on her toes!

I need to admit that I got this collection just for Jessica Hawkins' novella, Strictly Off Limits. It's short, but OMG it really packs a punch. Dean Brittany... he makes you wish he was your boss just so you could crawl across the floor to him! He is sexy in a way that a younger guy just can't touch. He knows what he wants... and it's Alexandra. He's straight forward and confident .... and dirty... . I don't want to give too much away, but try not to get over-heated while reading this story.

I would love to see a longer story with Dean and Brittany. I really think there's something there and that it could be a full length novel. Please???

This is a great way for you to fall in love with new authors. Get to love there short stories and makes you go read the other books they have. I have to admit this book caught my attention as I love Jessica Hawkins writing.

When I read Strictly off limits in this series by her I was hooked I wanted more. Dean an older male who is confident and knows what he wants. Then you have Alexandra younger who didn’t even consider older male. The chemistry in the book has you squirming in your seat if you know what I mean. It was HOT loved every second of it.

I was gifted this book and I am super happy that I was given it. I loved all the short stories and I loved how different each of them were. But the one thing they had in common was steamy steamy sex and characters that you cannot help but love. Some of the characters are from unconventional relationships that just seem to steam up the pages.
If I had to choose my fav out of the collection I couldn't possibly do it because they were all awesome in their own way. I now have 10 new authors to work my way through their works
I am really looking forward to volume 2

I do not normally read this genre, but I have read all of Morgan Jane's previous work. I decided to read this since I loved all of her others! Her writing style & characters especially! I read about the follow up full novel to In Too Deep, and I couldn't read this prequel.

Hot Hot HOT! I loved it...but it's a cliffy...thank god, I have the full length coming up!

I tried one or two of the other stories but unfortunately I just wasn't into any of them enough to finish right now. Not to say I won't be back!

What a fantastic collection of short story's I'd not heard of a few of the authors on this anthology but when reading there story's have found some fantastic reads.
There is a collective mix of types of story's and some left me wanting to read more, I am definetly going to be following these new authors as there writing styles have me wanting to see what other books they have released.

A fantastic 5*s and now I can't wait to start volume 2

I tried reading all of these but sadly I couldn't make it through all of them without skimming or all together giving up. The ones I did read all the way through I thoroughly enjoyed though.

This anthology was fantastic! There were a few editing issues which is why I rated it a 4 star. Morgan Jane Mitchell's In Too Deep was the best of the group! I had to go get the second installment of the Table 21 series.

I really enjoyed these novellas. I had no idea I would get sucked into the world of forbidden love. Although all 9 were good I have to admit I especially loved Jessica Hawkin's novella the best.

Usually I enjoy a quick sexy read between novels. However these novellas needed editing, lots of typos and a few misplaced sentences. I didn't make it through all the stories but I had a few favorites that were from n and original. I received my copy through a FB contest.

This collection of stories is very diverse, and it's hard to give it a cookie cutter rating. Each story has its own strengths and weaknesses, but for 99¢, you'd be stupid not to buy it. <--- yep, I went there.

I will be honest... Not all stories in this collection are panty dropping stores. However all the stories were really good. Some were more steamy or racier than others and some were very tame. All in all I felt this entire series was deserving of five stars.
