About the author

The I Love Mel brand is the work of Mel Elliott a Hastings, UK based Artist, Writer, & Publisher. Known mostly for her contemporary colouring books Mel also designs and produces Paper Doll books & slogan pencils all with a celebrity culture theme.

Mel has also produced books for other publishers. Starting with the 1980´s Bumper Activity book, she then made Colour Me Swoooon and Colour Me Girl Crush which were published by London publisher Pavilion in the UK and Penguin books in the USA. Mel´s recent project for Pavilion is a more serious how to book of Artistic techniques called How to make Art.

In March 2016, Quercus published The David Bowie Colouring Book, a celebration of the great icon. Egmont published the first of the Pearl Power series, The Girl With Two Dads, in 2019.

I bought this for a friend, so of course I had to read it before wrapping it up. Yes, I'm terrible. This coloring book, though, was great. My friends and I are proud Cumberbitches, and a girl's gotta find something to get her through the YEARS between seasons of Sherlock. This is a cute and fun book for anyone crushing on The Batch as a lot of the coloring prompts are along those lines. If you enjoy compulsively doodling "(your name here) + Benedict" on every available surface, give this a go.

Saw this today at B & N and had to look through it all. Clever/cute gift idea for a Cumberbatch fan (not going to say the other term!)

Funny little thing.
Some of the pictures are absolut sweet.
I have only 'read' it yet but not finished 'drawing' it.
But I will do it in time....
