Hollywood surgeon Colt Travers needs a new receptionist ASAP. When the adorable—and completely broke—Selena Harris comes in needing stitches, he takes a risk and hires her on the spot. She can pay off her bill, and he won’t have to answer the phone anymore. They're opposites in every way, and she's exactly what he doesn’t want in a woman—impulsive, carefree, and amusing. H

SPOILER ALERT - Toward the end of the review, I have to drop a spoiler to explain my primary reason for lowering this to a 4-star review. Don't read on if you don't want to know.

I was highly amused by the beginning of this book, in that it was a woman being thrown out of her lover's apartment with all her stuff being tossed out the window down to her. All too often in literature and movies, it's the woman having a hissy fit and tossing the guy out. And, even better, the guy had a legitimate reas

While this is the first for me in the series, I have to say I liked the ride. Hollywood Temptation by Scarlet Wilson follows Hollywood Blackmail by Jackie Ashenden. Not to worry, there were not a lot of gaps and holes that made you feel as though you were somehow missing out by not reading the other book. I firmly believe this could be a standalone read.

This book centers on Scotland born Selena Harris, an out of work exec who moves to Los Angeles to find a job. Since she can’t control her spendi

I had read the first book in the series "Hollywood Blackmail" by Jackie Ashenden, and had no clue that it was going to be a different author for book 2 so I didn't know that this was part of the series until I looked it up on Goodreads. Once I found out I was intrigued because I really liked book 1. This was the first book of Scarlet's that I've read. I've got to say that I really, really, really, was not a Selena fan on those first few pages. The things her ex was saying about her were making h ...more

I really enjoyed this book, in fact I liked it more than the first book in the series Hollywood Blackmail (though it was a good book too). This book focuses on Dr. Colt Travers and some of the fallout of the patient information leak that occurred in Hollywood blackmail. Selena Harris was an executive who was downsized from her six figure position at home and moved to LA to find work. Unfortunately unable to find work and unable to curb her spending she soon finds herself in a very deep hole. Whe ...more

If you are familiar Private Practice (Grey's Anatomy spin-off) then the Seacliffe Medical series is very much like that in the literary form. And as a huge fan, Hollywood Temptation was just what the Doctor ordered. With a gorgeous doc, likeable lady, the rich and famous, sexual build-up and trouble in the day-to-day running of the practice, it was a great escape-from-reality read.

Plastic Surgeon to the rich and famous, Colt Travers is simply delectable. Tall, dark and handsome he has the most

It was really hard to connect with Selena from the first page. The book starts out with her getting hit in the head with one of her expensive shoes. I felt she deserved it and the whole first chapter was funny and made me turn the pages quickly because Selena had a rotten attitude and I wanted all bad things to happen to her.
She has to seek medical attention (enter hottie, Colt) to stitch her all up. She can’t pay her bill but is able to get a job at the Medical Center and that’s where we see Se

With beautiful Pacific Ocean views, the life styles of the rich and famous, and a sexy doctor to go along with it this book became something I easily enjoyed. Plus as horrible as the situation in the beginning of the book was, it was actually comical too and that kind of mix always pulls me right in.

I'm almost positive we've all been in situations like Selena where life is just dealing you a hand that you've run too far with and unfortunately have to dig your way out of it. I so admire her for

Selena Harris is a shopaholic and is deeply in debt. Her boyfriend has thrown her out and she has no where to go. While he's busy tossing out her possessions, he hits her in the head with one of her shoes and she needs medical care. She has to find a plastic surgeon to stitch her head wound. Selena is in trouble. Thrown out of her boyfriend's apartment with just the clothes she managed to shove into a handful of bags, she has no cash, no place to live, and a nasty cut on her head. The story of how this happened is quite funny and was a great way to launch to book off to a great start. She steals his brother's car and finds Seacliffe Medical and stops to get some stitches. The lucky doctor to help her out is Colt Travers - one of the partners at the clinic.

I'm giving Hollywood Temptation 4 stars.

Selena just got dumped by her boyfriend because all she does is spend money non stop. When he kicks her out of his house she gets hit in the head with a stiletto heel and then steals his car to get away from him. She ends up at a plastic surgeons office.

That's when she meets Colt. A very handsome plastic surgeon who is instantly attracted to Selena. Selena is the opposite of anyone Col

Selena is down on her luck. She has lost her job and six-figure salary. She came home to her boyfriend throwing all of her clothes on to the sidewalk in LA. She got hit in the head with one of her expensive shoes and needed stitches. That gash on her head brought her to Colt, a gorgeous plastic surgeon with a perfect smile. When Selena can't pay her bill for the stitches, Colt says she can work it off by being the receptionist for his busy LA Plastic Surgery Center. But Colt finds it hard to kee ...more

Selena's story begins with her boyfriend throwing her and all of her belongings out of his apartment hitting her in the forehead with a shoe in the process. Selena had managed to get herself into serious debt without having employment causing him to break it off in this dramatic way.

Selena meets Colt showing up to his office for stitches and then ends up working for him to pay off her bill. In their time together she becomes so much more than a patient and employee. She stretches him in ways he

I have to admit the first 30 percents were hard for me. I couldn't like the heroin. I had suspicion for the lay off that she went total cuckoo but she was too much. using with no conscience but I truly see why. she wasn't bad at all. not at all. she was traumatize amd used to. but still she got conscience. it wasn't really her. so the rest of the book was more readable. I really like the sci fi couple.
so did I like this book? not really, pleasant to read not really. but it was well written and

*** I have received an ARC via NetGalley ***

I found "Hollywood Temptation" a quick and entertaining read, however the heroine was too much of a pushover (seriously, let the man sweat a bit more, why forgive him on the spot?) and the drama towards the end was too constructed for my taste.

The almost cheesy ending (just saying: Star Wars references :D ) was a plus though!

A solid 3 star rating.

Selena grows up from a bratty spoiled young woman to a responsible, independent delight. She has a natural spark and humor that will keep you wondering what she will come up next.

The scenes with Dr. "McHOT" Travers are adorable as their banter goes from normal flirting to erotic visualizations of what they each want to do to the other.

This was an entertaining read and to top it off... it is releasing with a 99 CENTS price tag!

**ARC provided via NetGalley for an honest review**

For the most part was an entertaining quick read. The first few chapters were interesting and funny, but I got bored somewhere around the middle, and found myself starting to skim the pages. Selena felt really flat. The ending felt really rushed and kind of abrupt.

Selena has more problems than she can count and they just keep coming. She makes a lot of decisions without thinking them through which puts her in a bad situation. When Colt offers to let her temporarily work as the new receptionist she sees it as an opportunity to finally get her life in check. She needs money, she needs a permanent job, and she wants to be independent; The last thing she needs is a sexy distraction. Things at Seacliffe are not right and pointing it out could be the end of her ...more

Staying at my Nanas where there is no internet can sometimes be a good way to catch up on some old titles sitting in my Kindle app. With not much else to do except read and watch TV and with not very good shows on , I opted to read and the first book I read was Hollywood Temptation which transported me back to Seacliffe Medical which I remembered as I had read Book #1 a while back. In Hollywood Temptation we meet Selena who has a MBA in finance but after graduation wasn't able to put her MBA to ...more

This was an entertaining read.

I found Scarlett a little weird though, because she had an MBA in accounting but her own
were terrible. Too terrible. I don't get it, then she finally gets a break and decides to do something in regards to sleeping arrangements I just found unacceptable.
I loved Colt, the Julian McMahon doctor. I love that the author gave him an imperfection, it just
made him that more perfect.

The money troubles at the clinic should be cleared up soon, cause I think they're giving too
