I enjoyed the way this book started out but it kinda fell flat for me in the end. It was intriguing for me as to why Torren didn't remember Lilly at all and was with the mysterious Vittoria instead. I really didn't like the ending. It had nothing to do with Torren's relationship status (no spoilers here!), but it just didn't agree with me.

It has been fifty years since Lilly walked away from Torren. Lilly has spent those years touring the world and trying to suffocate her feelings from that horrible day, a day that not only left her body battered, but also her heart. Lilly has returned to Italy in an attempt to move on from the tragedy that has been consuming her.

With the help of her friends, she tries to face her fears and her feelings. When Lilly finally works up her nerve to find Torren, she is saddened to see that he is still

Favorite Lines “Those traumas are like little pieces of shrapnel in your body. If you don’t dig them out, they’re going to keep hurting.”

“You can’t have us both. It’s either her or me. And it’s not only your happiness in the balance but ours, too. So think hard and choose well.”

I loved the final book of The Lilly Frank series.
Lilly's spent the last 50 years running from memories, bad memories, memories of her torture where she was at the death's doorstep and Torren couldn't help her. Memories of Torren being reunited with his first love. Her heart won't let her run anymore, she returns to Italy and hopefully to Torren.

Torren has spent the last 50 years living with Vittoria his first love and he's content until Lilly shows up and forces blocked memories to be unblocke

I started reading Awakening 3 but a couple of pages in I decied I wanted to start with the first book. I ended up reading all three books and I am very glad I did. Starting with Awakening 1 & 2 really tells the story of Lilly and Torren and brings you up to the begaining of Awakening 3.

In the begining of Awakening 3 Lilly has been away from Torren for 50 years and has not stopped loving him. She is hurt and can not get over him. When Lilly decides she has to find Torren and face him. Lilly finds

Part 3 of the Awakening trilogy sees us catching up with Lilly 50 years into the future. She has travelled the world, honed her fighting skills, but finds herself drawn back to Italy. There, a crucial political decision is to be made; do vampires reveal themselves to the world? Against a background of disagreement and turmoil, Lilly finds Torren again. The only problem: he's still with Vittoria - and doesn't seem to remember Lilly. What the heck is going on? Well, I'm not going to give the game ...more
