A rather unhelpful book if you're looking for any how-to's whatsoever. Visually, it was inspiring in places, and the product list was helpful, but it truly read as more of a bragging book than an instructional guide. If you consider faux painting to be an art form, and you want to admire the work of artists, then maybe you'll enjoy it. If you want to actually learn HOW to faux paint, skip it.
I was also annoyed by how disjointed the house ended up overall. An Italian wine cellar in the basement, and a giant peeled walled outbuilding study with pigs and overalls? Um....
While this book should have been professionally edited, one can truly enjoy the beauty and elegance which is made easy for all to partake, as long as the typos and errors can be overlooked. Very informative and empowering for any home owner!
Amazing transformations by some of America's best, faux painters and plasterers. Really has inspiring projects, some easy enough for the average home owner, others require much more experience.
