A waste of time. Glad I got it free. Don't know why I read it all the way through, I guess I kept hoping for better. Misspellings, usage errors, malapropisms, the sex scenes were too short, and proofreading was noticeably absent. Need I say more? Too bad I can't award negative numbers in the rating.

It's another free Kobo read and it's even less enjoyable than the first one. So they went out of town and got together. That's all. Normal people, workaday storyline. This is kind of story I can make up in my head before falling asleep. You can guess, I didn't really enjoy the book.

I was hooked from the opening line! I loved every moment of this story. I laughed out loud and fought hard not to scream at Trevor. My emotions ran the gamut in the few pages that were offered with this book, but I would read this again and again. My only gripe is that is was a novella and not a full on novel. I found myself wanting to know more about these characters. Way to make the reader invest in the series!! Kudos to the Author. I look forward to reading more and will be adding "Popcorn balls!" to my repertoire. Oh so precious!

3.25stars. This is a sweet but fast short story. I really liked it but there wasn't really anything memorable from this story. It was just too much like every other girl in love with best friend's brother. Still adorable though!

She's back in town and filling in for the office manager at MacLaughlin Corp. just before Christmas and Trevor is dreading it. "She was his little sister’s best friend ... Lorelei Ward was off limits."
The story has been told so often that it takes a lot to lift it above the rest, sadly "Trevor" is trampled by a myriad other books. It's pretty awkward and very predictable.
It is mercifully short - any longer and I probably would not have finished it.

Trevor (MacLaughlin Family #1) by Krystal Shannan is a short and sweet little love story. It says this is the first in the series, but I did feel like I was missing some of the details. Maybe that is how Shannan kept it short.
I have read other books by Shannan and have liked them all. Although I am not super into the erotic love scenes, the stories and characters generally pull it through for me. I do love a good HEA.

This is a short but wonderfully written novella. I could not put the book down once I started on page one. When the next in the series comes out, I will for sure be reading the continuation of the MacLaughlin family, it was a wonderfully enjoyable read..

Trevor has loved Lorelei since high school. He just didn't want be the cause of problems between her and his sister if things didn't work out between them so he never acted on his feelings. Now that she is back will he finally take that chance and tell her how he feels?
I loved this! I couldn't put it down. I love how they are complete opposites. He is a complete neat freak and she throws her stuff everywhere. He likes stuff put in a particular order and she likes to mess with him and mix it all up just to watch him fix it. It was a great short read that leaves you wanting more. There's definitely a series here and I can't wait to see more with the sister or one of the brothers! I would definitely recommend!!

I loved the 'long lost but not really lost' love aspect as they characters finally realize that they have been running from the same things for years. Lorelei is Trevor's sister's best friend and has been part of the 'family' for most of her life and Trevor ahs been a hard ass and never went after what his heart desired.
Trevor and Lorelei are such a wonderful couple who should have been together all along. With meddling family members and friends these two find each other.
I loved this novella so much that I didn't notice I was done until the final page when I tried to keep reading and realized it was over.

The author paints a vivid picture and conveys the emotions with intense detail. The characters are strong and compelling and the attraction and sex scenes are scorching.
The author engages the reader’s emotions with this heartwarming story full of laughter, romance and the occasional bump in the road. I really wasn’t ready for this book to end and I can’t wait to read more about the MacLaughlin Family.

This is the first book in the MacLaughlin series and it's Trevor MacLaughlin's story. He's been secretly in love with his sisters best friend, Lizzy Ward, for years but hasn't acted on it because of their friendship. She had moved away but has returned after four years. She has grown into a beautiful and smart woman who writes erotic romance novels. Trevor is in a bind and with the help of his mother and sister, they get Lizzy to help Trevor out. They will be out of town for a week on a job. A lot can happen in a week and will these two get a second chance? You'll have to read it yourself to find out what happens. It's a short and great romantic read and doesn't leave you with a cliffhanger! Love the other family members too and they will have their own stories, which I'm looking forward to.

I have to say that I truly enjoyed this book... it is a fast read but felt complete there wasn't any real gaps. Trevor and Lorelei are truly meant to be together.
I like how strong and feisty Lorelei was even though she did have her doubts but she took a stand and told Trevor what she wanted and how she felt. Love that. Also Popcorn Balls is my new favorite saying.
Even though they seem to take things fast they have known each other for many years both hiding their true feelings. I love how they were thrown together and the ending was just perfect. What a wonderful short story which has the perfect Christmas Feel showing the acceptance of Family, Love and Happy Ever After.

Enjoyed getting to know and appreciate the MacLaughlin Family. They are a fun family who are dedicated, hard-working with wonderful ethics. Just the kind of family it is good to grow up in. Solid.
In this story the couple already knows each other and are good friends who aren't expressing their feelings for each other. I found it funny the the men of the family knew one side and the females knew the other but they didn't talk to each other about it. Kind of like those high school dances, boys on one side girls on the other yearning for each other. The picture brings a smile to my face but in reality can be very painful and awkward.
I very much recommend this novella to 14+ due to adult themes.

Trevor by Krystal Shannan is her first book in her MacLaughlin Family series. Trevor is a novella featuring hunky Trevor and recent college graduate Lorelei. Lorelei and Trevor are family friends who have secretly loved each other for awhile. Trevor finally gets the chance to tell Lorelei how he feels with the help of his family.
I am a huge fan of big brother's loving their sister's best friends plot lines and Krystal's story does not disappoint, definitely one of my new favorites. I especially loved Trevor's family and can't wait to read their stories. Highly recommend this novella.

I loved this book from start to finish!! Trevor, the handsome, sweet, sexy, OCD hottie and Lorelei, the curvy, smart, beautiful mess, have both been in love with each other since high school. Although Lorelei has made her feelings known, Trevor has kept his feelings a secret out of respect for the friendship between Lorelei and his sister. Lorelei left town to go to college but now she is back. Will Trevor finally admit his true feelings or will another man steal her away?
This was a great, funny, sexy read. There was times when I literally laughed out loud. This is a must read you will not be disappointed!!

This Novella although short is super sweet, sexy and full of fun. Trevor comes from a loving close knit family, he's sexy, sweet, shy, fumbly and smart. Lorelei is beautiful, funny, Trevor sisters best friend and thought to be off limits. Without saying too much, I thought when Lorelei and Trevor meet again since not seeing each other for a while was adorably cute. I love Trevor's OCD thing and Lorelei untidiness, lol...love these two together and so does their family. Everyone was in on it...lol...fun, sexy, cute and loving. I love Krystal's shifter books so I figured I would give this series a go. My goodness. What a fun, short, yummy read! I love the finally ever after type stories. Trevor and Loreli were in love with each other since they were teens and the only ones they were fooling were themselves. Years later, after some "match making" they finally admit what they have long felt. Yummy goodness, I tell you. It was sweet, hot, and a great first book to what I anticipate will be a great series. This is the perfect guilty pleasure for an afternoon escape. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Trevor and Lorelie have been inlove for years. The only problem is that neither of them realizes how the other feels. When Lorelei moves back home from college and they are thrown together by the manipulations of Lizzy, Trevor's sister and Lorelei's best friend, sparks fly and finally they both let their true feelings be known.
This is a great start to a series on the MacLaughlin family. It's a short story, but a very good one. I really enjoyed it. I love how close the MacLaughlin family is. If you love a quick, short story that has a very sweet ending, I would read this one.
